Black Guy Gives Brilliant Clap Back To Racist White Woman Who Didn’t Believe He Was Flying First Class
Remember the Seattle woman who unfortunately experienced ‘banking while Black?‘ Well, it turns out flying while Black is also an issue, as DC-based music executive Emmit Walker learned just 2 days ago. Thankfully, when a passenger on the same flight as him made racist comments upon seeing him in the ‘priority boarding’ line, he fired back with an absolutely perfect response.
Walker’s story is a sad reminder of the casual instances of racism Black people still encounter during everyday situations, but is also a triumphant example of what happens when the owners of that racism are called out and made a fool of in public.

People boasting their priority rights, especially at airports, have a questionable attitude anyway. Yes, you earn these perks because you fly too much and they are really useful if you do not just occasionally fly, but they should never be a reason to feel superior. In this case, I guess it might have been racism, but it might have been plain old judgemental behaviour "only". I myself have gotten angry looks and "What are you doing there?" questions in boarding queues. Turns out boarding group 2 (business class) needed to wait until I had boarded from group 1 (Star Alliance gold, irregardless of class) :D. And know what? Children and elderly could even go before – rightly! Or those people in suits that "coincidently" show their gold status hand baggage tags, casually peeking at your boarding pass with a arrogant grin, only to realize the guy in sneakers has a diamond card. Hillarious! Status is nothing, respect is everything. Especially in condensed airport and plane situations.

Same thing happened to me recently! I was flying first class and me and my Hispanic family kept getting dirty looks by the white peoples around us until a flight attendant approached us and asked us to see our boarding passes. "Did you pay for these seats? I need to see your boarding passes right away" Like yes b***h just cause we're Hispanic it does not mean we can't afford to pay first class. Did she question all the white peoples around us? Of course not.

Came back to live in Switzerland in 1970. Outrageous behavior towards Italians who were working to build highways, dams, housing and the hard physical work that the Swiss thought beneath them. One day in the bus going home after work I sat next to an Italian gentleman who was in his work clothes. At the next buss stop a Swiss guy wanted that the Italian man give up his seat and told him he should go sit in back of the bus! I was so shocked that I told the Swiss idiot that he better close his month. This all feels like a publicity stunt. I have no doubt that people have attitudes just like her alleged attitude, and that those attitudes are unacceptable. But I would be guarded as to whether this particular situation played out as he claimed it did.

We don't know if she'd say the same thing. The guy was dressed very casual, she could have said the same thing to white skater dude in line too. The majority of people in that area are dressed up, so it could have just been an ignorant assumption on her part. Either way, people are too quick to play the race card without knowing the full facts. She could have just easily been some selfish snooty customer, which there are a lot of in the airports, malls, etc. of all colours, not just white.

What happened to ME: I left my First Class seat to go back in the plane to visit with a friend who was flying "sardine" class. When I returned to First Class, the Flight Attendant looked down her nose at me, barred the way, and said, "You can't come in here! This is First Class!" I guess I wasn't dressed fancy enough to REALLY be a First Class passenger. I said, "Sweetie, I AM a First Class passenger and it's NOT an upgrade!"

She was standing behind him and didn't think he could possibly belong there...so she had to open her mouth and remind him that someone like him couldn't possibly have priority boarding. Fact checking is something you should try. This story was proven to be made up by him for attention. The passengers that was at the terminal has come forward one by one and said that no conversation of any sort took place between that man and the woman. The woman herself has also made a statement and she barely recollects him being on her flight.

Happened to me. Was in one of the early boarding groups walking towards the line and an older white gentleman looked at me weirdly and said "oh I guess we can all get on now." I didn't have nearly the same response. I just ignored him and posted about it on facebook lol Now I wasn't in first class, but I pay an annual fee and exorbitant interest on a credit card to get that perk. Sir...sit down.

Back in 1973 while on my way to Army Basic Training, I was given a First-Class ticket from San Francisco to Chicago. I had very long hair, wearing bell-bottomed blue jeans and hiking boots, looking just like the hippy I was. When I got to Chi-Town I had to change planes and I just knew they'd catch their mistake and ship me to the back of the plane. But, no. From Chicago to Philly, First Class again. Boy did I ever get drunk on the free beer they had in First Class, lol.

My issues have been with airline gate agents doubting my ticket status. Rarely with flight attendents or passengers. Not saying they aren't saying it under their breath, I know that is happening big time. But no vebals... Most want to know what I do for a living. Some think I'm a TV celebrity (I resemble that Steve guy all over the TV screen...lol) Like somehow that makes it ok. It"s sad, but I enjoy the broken faces...they deserve it. You know. So, a similar situation happened to me, except the lady was not white. She was very dressed up and I wasn’t. This occurred just when Delta started using those slats to separate everyone by Premium, Sky Priority, and so on. I approached the Sky Priority lane but wasn’t moving very fast because I was double checking my boarding pass (I knew that I should have been in the Premium line, but didn’t see it at first). I looked up and she barked at me: “the back of the line is that way...”. I clapped back with a “...thank you so much! It’s so nice to know Delta hires plain clothes Priority Lane police!” It was just then that I noticed the Premium line up front, but just off to the side of all the other designated lanes. Yes... I was a little petty when I boarded, waved, and smiled at her like we were best friends. She didn’t sit in first class - I noticed. She must have been in coach. Disclaimer: there is nothing wrong with coach. Some of my best friends sit back there! 😉

Sometimes you're in a Priority group because you got points. This is because you or your employer already paid lots of money to fly. Another reason is that you paid extra because you want/need the wider seats and to have your baggage nearby in the cabin. Perhaps you need to be closer to the restroom. Maybe you have a small child with you or health issues. Whatever. No one else's beeswax. The only really offensive thing I encountered within the last few years was a passenger with REALLY ripe BO, who, thankfully, passed right on by and went far to the back. Someone else brought something really smelly onboard to eat, but at least that odor didn't stay. There was a really fractious toddler in the front row at the beginning of an overseas flight, who eventually settled down. Those are real issues.

If someone is trying to board without the correct ticket, clothes (remember the whole pants vs. shorts thing a couple of years back?), or too much carry on, booze in their system, or whatever, there will be a uniformed rep of the airline, or security, if needed, to make sure that doesn't happen. This reminds me of a Black Air Force Captain I worked with in Texas... He was working in his back yard when a This reminds me of a story told to me by my good Friend - a Black Air Force Captain - while stationed in Texas... He was doing yardwork in his backyard - a "For Sale" sign on the Front Lawn... A Lady - interested in talking to the owner rang the bell and getting no response - went to the back fence and asked him if he knew when the owner would be home... He told her to try the bell again and/or knock loudly as he believed the owner to be home... As she headed to the Front, he scurried around back - entered the house - and promptly opened the Front door to Greet the Lady and introduced himself as the owner and seller of the house... Silence followed - she apologized...

I recently had a similar experience in the White cowboy town in Australia where I was staying, but in a slightly different fashion (BTW I'm a white Australian male). In this town they have nail salon (pedicures, manicures etc. staffed by Vietnamese) I went there to have my toe nails trimmed , and, while waiting, had a conversation in Vietnamese (which I speak )with one of the staff. An obese redneck woman stuck her nose into our conversation , saying " speak English, you're not in Thailand now!" I replied "I'm not speaking Thai, I'm speaking Vietnamese, but you're too ignorant to know what I'm saying." She tried to wriggle out of her embarrassment by saying "whatever....". I decided to rub it in a bit more by turning to the other Viet staff and saying in perfect Vietnamese street slang " this fat b***h doesn't know her a*s from a hole in the ground". They all roared with laughter.....the perfect comeback!
i think some people are just plain old douchebags. i had an incident happen when we exiting a plane. everyone understands that the first seat leaves...second seat leave..etc. well i was waiting for the elderly woman in the seat before me to get in the line to exit the plane and i had a woman literally ramming and pushing me to go. she was black..i am white. it had nothing to do with skin color...but everything to do with lack of common manners
same thing happens when you look younger than your age (and I'm white and 50 but apparently i look a lot younger!!). I've had many 1st class people say to me "you're in the wrong lane, this is business class/priority boarding" to which I've said "yes I'm aware of that" to which I've had "well general boarding is over there" to which I've said "yup, well spotted"! You can see how embarrassed some of them have the grace to look when they discover your sitting in the best row in business class, ahead of them! Others just wont eye ball you again because they know they screwed up - snobbery of those who think they're entitled and us ordinary looking folk arent - love that shameful look i can give them!!

I flew to the usa and back not too long ago and they let military staff on first with the other priority members. That lady is awful for saying that because she paid someone from military should wait. Horrible attitude to those who serve, and horrible to the guy who obviously deserves to be there because he can afford it just like she can.

People boasting their priority rights, especially at airports, have a questionable attitude anyway. Yes, you earn these perks because you fly too much and they are really useful if you do not just occasionally fly, but they should never be a reason to feel superior. In this case, I guess it might have been racism, but it might have been plain old judgemental behaviour "only". I myself have gotten angry looks and "What are you doing there?" questions in boarding queues. Turns out boarding group 2 (business class) needed to wait until I had boarded from group 1 (Star Alliance gold, irregardless of class) :D. And know what? Children and elderly could even go before – rightly! Or those people in suits that "coincidently" show their gold status hand baggage tags, casually peeking at your boarding pass with a arrogant grin, only to realize the guy in sneakers has a diamond card. Hillarious! Status is nothing, respect is everything. Especially in condensed airport and plane situations.

What happened to ME: I left my First Class seat to go back in the plane to visit with a friend who was flying "sardine" class. When I returned to First Class, the Flight Attendant looked down her nose at me, barred the way, and said, "You can't come in here! This is First Class!" I guess I wasn't dressed fancy enough to REALLY be a First Class passenger. I said, "Sweetie, I AM a First Class passenger and it's NOT an upgrade!"

Fact checking is something you should try. This story was proven to be made up by him for attention. The passengers that was at the terminal has come forward one by one and said that no conversation of any sort took place between that man and the woman. The woman herself has also made a statement and she barely recollects him being on her flight.

Happened to me. Was in one of the early boarding groups walking towards the line and an older white gentleman looked at me weirdly and said "oh I guess we can all get on now." I didn't have nearly the same response. I just ignored him and posted about it on facebook lol Now I wasn't in first class, but I pay an annual fee and exorbitant interest on a credit card to get that perk. Sir...sit down.

Back in 1973 while on my way to Army Basic Training, I was given a First-Class ticket from San Francisco to Chicago. I had very long hair, wearing bell-bottomed blue jeans and hiking boots, looking just like the hippy I was. When I got to Chi-Town I had to change planes and I just knew they'd catch their mistake and ship me to the back of the plane. But, no. From Chicago to Philly, First Class again. Boy did I ever get drunk on the free beer they had in First Class, lol.
What makes me crazy, other than her crazy racism, is that she also feels superior to members of the military. She sucks.

My issues have been with airline gate agents doubting my ticket status. Rarely with flight attendents or passengers. Not saying they aren't saying it under their breath, I know that is happening big time. But no vebals... Most want to know what I do for a living. Some think I'm a TV celebrity (I resemble that Steve guy all over the TV screen...lol) Like somehow that makes it ok. It"s sad, but I enjoy the broken faces...they deserve it. You know. It's what are you doing in this store, how are you able to drive this car, how can you live in this neighborhood...you would think this would die out with time, but to many, it's spreaded to the young by the old...the world may be a couple of generations away from where we are today..but with today's climate, bigger worries as in world destruction should be the concern of today..... So, a similar situation happened to me, except the lady was not white. She was very dressed up and I wasn’t. This occurred just when Delta started using those slats to separate everyone by Premium, Sky Priority, and so on. I approached the Sky Priority lane but wasn’t moving very fast because I was double checking my boarding pass (I knew that I should have been in the Premium line, but didn’t see it at first). I looked up and she barked at me: “the back of the line is that way...”. I clapped back with a “...thank you so much! It’s so nice to know Delta hires plain clothes Priority Lane police!” It was just then that I noticed the Premium line up front, but just off to the side of all the other designated lanes. Yes... I was a little petty when I boarded, waved, and smiled at her like we were best friends. She didn’t sit in first class - I noticed. She must have been in coach. Disclaimer: there is nothing wrong with coach. Some of my best friends sit back there! 😉

Sometimes you're in a Priority group because you got points. This is because you or your employer already paid lots of money to fly. Another reason is that you paid extra because you want/need the wider seats and to have your baggage nearby in the cabin. Perhaps you need to be closer to the restroom. Maybe you have a small child with you or health issues. Whatever. No one else's beeswax. The only really offensive thing I encountered within the last few years was a passenger with REALLY ripe BO, who, thankfully, passed right on by and went far to the back. Someone else brought something really smelly onboard to eat, but at least that odor didn't stay. There was a really fractious toddler in the front row at the beginning of an overseas flight, who eventually settled down. Those are real issues.

He was working in his back yard when a This reminds me of a story told to me by my good Friend - a Black Air Force Captain - while stationed in Texas... I recently had a similar experience in the White cowboy town in Australia where I was staying, but in a slightly different fashion (BTW I'm a white Australian male). In this town they have nail salon (pedicures, manicures etc. staffed by Vietnamese) I went there to have my toe nails trimmed , and, while waiting, had a conversation in Vietnamese (which I speak )with one of the staff. An obese redneck woman stuck her nose into our conversation , saying " speak English, you're not in Thailand now!" I replied "I'm not speaking Thai, I'm speaking Vietnamese, but you're too ignorant to know what I'm saying." She tried to wriggle out of her embarrassment by saying "whatever....". I decided to rub it in a bit more by turning to the other Viet staff and saying in perfect Vietnamese street slang " this fat b***h doesn't know her a*s from a hole in the ground". They all roared with laughter.....the perfect comeback!
i think some people are just plain old douchebags. i had an incident happen when we exiting a plane. everyone understands that the first seat leaves...second seat leave..etc. well i was waiting for the elderly woman in the seat before me to get in the line to exit the plane and i had a woman literally ramming and pushing me to go. she was black..i am white. it had nothing to do with skin color...but everything to do with lack of common manners
same thing happens when you look younger than your age (and I'm white and 50 but apparently i look a lot younger!!). I've had many 1st class people say to me "you're in the wrong lane, this is business class/priority boarding" to which I've said "yes I'm aware of that" to which I've had "well general boarding is over there" to which I've said "yup, well spotted"! You can see how embarrassed some of them have the grace to look when they discover your sitting in the best row in business class, ahead of them! Others just wont eye ball you again because they know they screwed up - snobbery of those who think they're entitled and us ordinary looking folk arent - love that shameful look i can give them!!

I flew to the usa and back not too long ago and they let military staff on first with the other priority members. That lady is awful for saying that because she paid someone from military should wait. Horrible attitude to those who serve, and horrible to the guy who obviously deserves to be there because he can afford it just like she can.

No, it's racism to believe that all non-famous black people are poor. Because that's a lie. It's not only famous athletes and entertainers who are rich. If you could ask this woman if there are rich non-famous black people, she would reply, "Of course!", so what drove her to say such stupid things is racism.
