Silvia is a talented young art director and illustrator from Milan, who decided to explore the day-by-day paradoxes during the Italian quarantine with a series of minimal and funny drawings.
“Ever since I was a child, I always chose to laugh about weird, uncomfortable, or even sad situations. I like making fun of myself and I was hoping that by sharing my thoughts I would find people that could relate to my view of the world so that we could try and navigate these incredibly strange times together,” says Silvia.

Try reading. Sometimes I read until the sun comes up because the book is so good. I really enjoy leaving reality behind and living in someone else's shoes for a while.
“I think it’s a pretty lazy style - hahah - the truth is that I really want the idea behind the post to prevail, not so much the drawing, so I try to keep the overall illustration at a minimum. I’m a huge fan of the New Yorker style of comics, that’s where I mainly draw inspiration from, but also memes and general internet culture” says Silvia about her drawing style.
I've moved 14 flowering cactus inside for company. They really do cheer me up. :)
“Probably nothing, I live in the city so I miss nature a lot these days. Honestly though, I’m kinda worried that what’s coming next it’s going to be even weirder that it was during lockdown. Oh well, more weird comics am I right?” says artist when asked what she will miss about this quarantine.

Don't talk about hair. I needed a cut just before lockdown but I wimped out. Thankfully I have scarves. Plus I bought a hat.
I haven't felt the want to cut my hair in about 2 years......NOW of all times I desperately want a haircut.

I was bored so I cut my hair super short. Someone needs to hide the scissors before I have no hair left.

Tell me about it! My hair is the longest it's been since I was a teenager.
I also was due for a cut, but everything shut down the day before my appointment. I usually have a short cut, but now my mask ties tangle in my hair. It is like having a wild animal living on my head.
I booked an appointment at the insistence of my hubby 6 weeks ago, that appointment is coming up this Saturday.
