Woman Surprised To See Her Puppy Drag Its New Blanket Outside, But Then She Sees This

Meet Lana, a rescue puppy who knows a thing or two about friendship and being generous. Rescued from the streets of Brazil, the 8-month-old doggie has a loving owner, but clearly still remembers what it’s like to be a stray. So, when she saw a homeless dog on a chilly night, she dragged her blanket to share it with him.

“I thought, ‘How beautiful what she did for her friend,'” Suelen Schaumloeffel, the woman who adopted Lana, tells The Dodo. “My best four-legged friend reminded me of something so important: generosity!”

“She is the nicest little dog I’ve ever met,” Schaumloeffel says. “We forget sometimes the difference we can make in someone’s life. She reminded me of this.”

“Lana teaches about love and gratitude every day,” Schaumloeffel told Bored Panda.

The woman has been leaving food and water for the stray dog and thinks that’s what Lana would want her to do. Unfortunately, the homeless pooch still runs away every time she tries to approach him. Still, Schaumloeffel hopes that one day they can help the doggie find a home.

They're just wonderful children, who love others and are willing to share with ones in need. After being with us for over 50,000 years, they have become one of us in character, if not in body.

Okay, sorry I clicked on send before I was ready. Having adopted several feral dogs off the streets I can tell you that earning their trust takes time but it can be done.

This proves dogs are way better than humans... We don't deserve them.

Rescued animals are just better than pets reared from babies. I always seem to remember the former lives and are thankful for what they have.

Looks like a staged / fake photo. Need a video of a dog stuffing a blanket underneath a fence for me to believe this story.

If that's true it's one of the most compassionate things I ever heard an animal do for another animal ^_^

Truth be told, I'm kinda itching to point out some plot holes in this story. I'm always skeptic when these articles come around...I know......It's a problem :/...But I don't think it really matters in this case. Let's not ruin this :)

...If a dog can be that generous, how can some of us can't do that?

Dogs have more passion in their little paws than us humans have in our entire body !!

So generous. I think only a dog will do that. Looking at my cats I'm sure they wouldn't.

Sorry to ruin this for you but it has to be staged. Cute story but without opposable thumbs, the dog's not getting that blanket through the fence.

If more people acted like dogs the world would be a better place

I would have helped his friend, it would have broke my heart to see that other poor dog alone outside the fence! He could use a friend!

Sorry. But I have to be that guy. How did the dog get the blanket through the fence?

Most likely she brought it to the fence to share it as a toy, the other dog pulled it through to play tug of war, then they both fell asleep
