I Made This Stop-Motion Animation Using Pumpkin Carvings As Each Frame
Rob Popkin and Sean Ohlenkamp (me) carved and photographed dozens and dozens and dozens of pumpkins to make this stop-motion animation.
The music was created by Grayson Matthews and was also made using pumpkins and pumpkin carving tools. More details can be found on the YouTube page.

Share on FacebookThis is awesome ! So much patience required to carve so many pumpkins , abs they totally nailed it !
Incredible stop animation and craft. Nicely done guys! Worth a share specially during October :P
The carving is great, but I may be more impressed they found so many nearly identical pumpkins.
OMG THAT WAS AMAZING IT MUST'VE COST U A LOT OF TIME AND MONEY SO WELL DONE!!!!!
I always admire the time and patience it takes to do stop motion. Great job!
Nice work, but until we see the lights from holes on the wall they mostly look like projected images on pumpkins, so there was no need to carve them at all. Or they should carve deeper so they wouldn't look like projections.
There's a small farm that I pass by on my way to work and every year all the used and un used pumpkins get dumped in that field so the baby cows can eat and play with them. Unfortunately some people just need to find negativity in everything they see.
Damm! Spent too much money on plunkings. Great work and video. Post some backstage photos!
People use the inside of the pumpkin for food/desserts etc.
Load More Replies...Do you have any idea how many millions of pounds of pumpkins are bought every year just to stick on the front porch and rot? Then they end up in the landfill. These guys used the pumpkins to create something really interesting instead. Most likely they then ended up as compost somewhere to fertilize a crop for next year. Great work guys very imaginative.
