Phone Scammers Accidentally Call A Programmer, Regret It Immediately
Phone scams may be getting more and more clever by the day, but one office full of phony IRS agents made a decidedly dumb move when they called a computer programmer who happens to specialize in scam prevention.
The programmer and Redditor, who goes by the username YesItWasDataMined, but operates an anti-scam operation called Project Mayhem, received a voicemail from someone claiming to be an IRS employee. When he called them back and was asked to pay a massive fine for unclear reasons, he knew immediately that he was being had – and came up with a genius way to pull the plug on them. He wrote a script that called each of their phones 28 times per second with an automated message, tying up their lines and making it impossible to reach other potential victims.
The actual IRS recently published a report declaring these kinds of schemes a “major threat to taxpayers,” and estimates that over 10 thousand victims have been affected since 2013, collectively being defrauded of more than 54 million dollars.
Project Mayhem’s official YouTube channel now proudly features a hilarious 10-minute sample of the havoc wreaked upon the unfortunate scammers, which has already gained over 1 million views. Watch it below, and always remember to protect yourself against any suspicious requests for your private information.

At 8:25, he said "he's calling us from 10 to 15 numbers at the same time, the [call] waiting list is full of his numbers, he must be one of those guys with tattoos, yeah, that place is full of guys with tattoos (wtf??)" Hindi is not my native language, so this translation might not be accurate, but I tried to get as close as I can. :)
dude, you the man. need to set up a page where people can share the numbers of the scammers and people like you can flood them. ive had so many calls about tech support for my windows, i love to wind em up and then i tell them i have linux !!
dude I called a scammer back once just to do that. Also, I may have sent a .bat file that spammed them to death

Brilliant! I am from India, and when the last such scam was revealed a few months ago I was shocked to know this used to happen from the same city I live in. I was happy that it was finally unearthed and these good-for-nothing scamsters were finally being caught. Sad to know, it's still on. But what you did is just brilliant. More power to you! :)
Yeah, it is seriously disheartening to know the amount of Scamming being done from India.
Load More Replies...He is a computer programmer... We don't really know that he /doesn't/ wear a cape... They can be an odd bunch.
Load More Replies...Genius! Thanks for your work. Maybe you saved masses of people masses of money.
Thanks for doing this. We need more people like you who take their talents to a greater level - thanks again!
Thank You for doing this. My 24 yr old daughter actually had taken out $3,000.00 from her account before she called her dad and I and we told her it was a scam. It took her a bit to calm down and realize she needed to talk to someone before she sent off the money. I had actually gotten this call and they kept calling me to tell me the cops were coming to get me. I finally got mad enough and yelled at them after several days to send the police I am home waiting for them. You are my hero!!
I got that call. I told the lady it's ok I can afford it - I just won the Nigerian Lottery!! and then I hung up..
I usually only say this to present and former members of our military, but, "Thank you for your service!"
Absolutely brilliant. Why aren't the government doing this or immediately closing down these numbers?
Because they really don't care about us as long as they are getting their money from the PAC's. On a non political serious note, these places are over seas, so the US government can't do anything, and there are so many that the government in India doesn't have the manpower or the funds to go after these guys. It seems to be the same group of people, that do ALL of the scams, so far I only seem to get the Windows support calls.
Load More Replies...I wish you could tell us the way to do the same thing. I doubt it's gonna be used with good will though :(
You can see the source code for the app at 02:23.
Load More Replies...Hey, I know you're not doing this for money, but you should seriously set up a donate page so people can reward you for this important work. One of the companies I used to own had servers that were regularly the subject of DOS and spam attacks from overseas. I wanted to actually kill those people, but what you're doing is WAY more fun! GO GETTEM!!!
can we send you numbers for you to add to the list? hahahah
So satisfying to listen to. You feel the emotion in the guys voice as he's getting tired of it all.
You should start a Kickstarter service for 19.99 and a phone number you will make scammers regret their life decisions. Call yourself the Scammer Hammer!
The following numbers called me and left voicemails indicating the IRS had filed a case against me! Hope you get them too! 707-932-3035 301-307-1769 405-285-3731 206-596-0939
This guy is now my daughter's and my hero. We were laughing so hard.
Is there any way that this script can be packaged and somehow downloaded by the regular person, to install on their PC and run it when these calls come in? I know it is a bit of a long shot, but listening to all 10 mins of this was so cathartic and I was overjoyed to see them getting blocked. You are brilliant!
Absolutely! You could market it and make a fortune! Great idea, Tanya. I hope he pursues this, it could make him rich, and save alot of heartache for the poor gullible people out there, who don't have street smarts to recognize this type of thing. People such as the elderly, and those who are afraid of the IRS. What a lowlife, scumbag thing to do to people.
Load More Replies...On behalf of them, I being an Indian , I apologise for these brazen wrongdoings by these perpetrators. Offensive and legal actions must be charged against these people. Now I can understand how a Muslim person feels when he is seen with a suspicion, just because a terrorist and them shares same religion. It's my embarrassment that has led me to write this comment here as I can see no one offending or cursing my country, till now. So please don't generalise the whole country just because of these scammers and yes DO NOT DHARE ANY INFORMATION OVER A PHONE CALL. NEVER EVER. Ask for everything in writing. Apologies again. *Peace*
So Negi: NO problem every country has it share of bad apples.
Load More Replies...Yes he is talking about tattoo only. Just a casual gibberish talk. Nothing else. And I am proficient in Hindi. Making our country great. Proud of you m***********s. 8 grands USD straightaway, for a job of 8 K INR. And 1 USD equals 65 INR. F**k are these people up to. I thought these must be from some other Asian country but no, this is a North Indian slang. And I am damn sure about it.
7:35- Call are pending Bhai (Brother) not Wife 8:30- He is asking Honey (Most probably short name for Harprit or something) from where u have made that tattoo From their accent it looks that they are from North India (Mostly Delhi or Haryana)
This is awesome, I got a call from these "IRS" people, two different ones, one claimed that I owed $9K and the other was claiming that they had a $6K "refund" for me, "because I'm such an upstanding citizen". I can't believe that some people actually fall for this c**p.
Thank you! This made me so happy and I really needed to see karma in action today!
I just got a call saying that I owed the IRS and I must pay or be taken into custody. I was directed to call 410-914-8307. The entire call was an automated computer voice. They're getting too lazy to spam-call in person!
That's EXACTLY what they get! I usually scream at them that their number has been given to the FBI, and that if they call again, THAT number will ALSO be given to the FBI! They stop REALLY quickly after that! 😂😂😂
A better idea would be to keep talking with them and bot providing them with any useful information.. This will waste their time.. They're not really scared of fbi.. they're from india.. 😅
Load More Replies...THANK YOU! I got their calls for several months, blocked numbers but there were always more, used apps to screen calls with negative reports, etc. THANK YOU FOR MAKING IT STOP (for awhile).
Neeraj: Hey, don't be. Every country has its own set of rascals!!

HOW do I get numbers added to this? I get these freaking calls all day!!! 19553491_1...da1e70.jpg
For people who want to donate a dollar to this guy. (it is all he is asking) OR read about his other scam flooding contact his website which is just above video screen it is project mayhem.com. It looks like he is getting ready to release a package we can all use to block these people.
Don't be silly. It would be adapted for use by even more scammers :-o
Load More Replies...Absolutely brilliant! I hope that you are able to do that to all of the scammers! I usually just resort to telling them they should be ashamed of themselves, but I often wish I was some seriously good programmer that could hack into their stuff and mess with them - but seeing someone else do it is just as satisfying. :-D
Priceless! I received a similar call today, not from the IRS, but from the Ventura County Sheriffs Office. The caller introduced himself as Sheriff "something" and started to ask me why I did not appear in court yesterday. I heard background noises such as one would hear in a "boiler room" operation and knew that this was one of the scams going around last year. I recognized it as bogus, stated "Bu!!sh*t!" into the phone and hung up. Followed up with local police to add to their fraud hot line information. If Project Mayhem is monitoring these comments, the number that called me appeared as 805.217.4024. I don't know if that is a fake Caller ID or not a valid number that goes back to the scammer. If you can determine it is a scammer's number, please feel free to attack it. Also, is there anyway to commercialize what you do. I think that it is brilliant.
Thank you so much for doing that!! I'm so sick of them calling me!!!!
"Madhachudh" is 'm**********r' and 'bahinchudh' is 'sisterfucker'. Both are extremely grave insults in Indian society.
Dude you are AWESOME! I am ashamed that these scam call centers are here in India. I dont know what kind of cheap mindset can come up ways to scam people. On top of that, people actually apply for such jobs and do them? Fk man.... THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR STANDING UP TO THEM. Please reply if I can be of any help (Programmer here as well) to help you stop them!
Hit the scammers up at this nu,ber 440-261-7656 this is the number they used to call me from last week. (same IRS scam word for word)
You should share your program with those interested and let them flood the scammers too lol
My hero!! Actually, AARP has some excellent tutorials online on how to protect yourself from scammers. If you have elderly friends or family, these are priceless.
Sherrie: The problem is that the elderly get upset and confused and forget what they learned. I have an older friend who is living on really low income. She got a phone call from 'her grandson' claiming he had been arrested and to wire him 2000. but don't tell his parents. She went to the bank and took out 2000. The teller even asked if she was sure it was her grandson and she said yes. Goodbye 2000.
Load More Replies...I think, if a call is reported say...100 times by different known IPs (do not call registry) and then confirmed by someone official, then the Govt should put that number through this script...
So much better than what I do. I got a call, quickly googled the number, and saw it was a tech support scam, which even gave me a partial script of what they say so I answered the phone, "Thank you for calling Microsoft. We've detected a virus on your computer and will need to access it remotely to solve the problem." Silence for 10 seconds then a, "Thank you," and a hangup. I called the number back, and the same person answered (surprised it wasn't spoofed), and I got more insistent. "Ma'am, I don't think you understand! There's a virus on your computer..." *hangup* Repeated until she finally blocked me. For another scam, I just keep giving them a fake credit card number over and over, making excuses for not being able to read it right - bad eyesight, one of the 8's looked like a 0, etc. until they get pissed at me. You, though, are much cooler.
I got one of these and demanded to know what his 'silo' number was. Then I said you can't be an employee or you would know which silo you were in. I am a senior analyst at the IRS and I certainly know what my silo is. And then he threatened me and I said hang on, my husband wants to talk to you. He is a lawyer with the IRS. The guy hung up. I picked up the word silo from the business pages.
Load More Replies...The thing they fail to realise is that the government wouldn't contract out to a foreign body any type of call center work.
Ironically, this video was DL'd and repackaged for this site rather than linking the original YouTuber video thereby depriving the poster of the revenue from clicks. Nice job, douchebags.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I am home all day and the scammers never ever stop calling.
Man this is so great on so many levels 😂😂😂😂... if everone knew how to work computers like you (did it the right way that is) these scammers would kill them self's, because they would have to get a real job.. thank you for your time!!!
Sad thing is, these scammers spoof phone numbers of REAL people and use the REAL phone numbers to scam people. I've had my number (from CA) used to scam folks in New Jersey and Wisconsin. Any help with that?
Thank you.... These guys ( IRS scammers) sound EVIL when it is turned back on them... LOSERS
To me, the amazing part is that they will stay on the line with you for hours arguing and cussing you rather than move on to someone else! It's happened to me. I wind up screaming at them and they calmly say ok, we'll just jam your computer! Hahahaha!!!
These scum bags called my very elderly mother and I answered. They ran through their "you owe IRS money and place are headed over to arrest you" bit. I decided to have some fun. I responded with many questions about how confused I was because the "nice man at H and R Block said I was getting a refund of $563.00" they kept trying to steer me back by saying I was confused. I asked him to let me speak to his manager, who then came on the line, and I told him "how annoyed I was that I haven't received my refund yet" and "could he please find out where it was and how much longer before I'd be getting it". He got so mad and then hung up. We've never had another call. LOL LOL LOL
You are awesome, whomever you are. These a$$hats tried to scam my mother-in-law several times. She's 78 and thankfully she was skeptical and didn't give them info.
I want to learn how to do this!!!!! Please teach me your ways master for you are wise and powerful and i will be your humble apprentice!!! LOL. Not all heroes wear capes...and you just become my own personal hero!!! *bows Waynes world style* NOT WORTHY NOT WORTHY NOT WORTHY!!!!
They're still doing it, I've been getting calls at least 3x a week. Last one, was on 9/7/2017. They go straight to voicemail. I called them "stop calling coz I just received letter from the IRS. IRS don't call, they send letters or notices, so you stop!" I've not received any calls since.
OMG this is FANTASTIC! hahhahahahaahaah I can not even tell you how many of these damn calls I get! THANK YOU!!!!!
Awesome - hate these people who take advantage of others. Go get em!!!!
I'm sure the original creator (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCGCqGI3f2WSDnfRjrD1Cj_Q) would appreciate getting the revenue. #dontStealOriginalContent
A detail that I consider quite funny: right under this clever video of 'revenge scamming', you get... an ad telling me how I can get an Iphone 7 for 1 USD. Mmmmh...
This is awesome. I wish I could do something like this to the Indian bastards who keep harassing me, claiming to be from either Microsoft or Windows, trying to gain access to my pc. I can't get rid of them, no matter what I try.
I've used those demon dialers on these lowlifes before - they're wonderful.
Thank you. While caring for seniors in their homes I'd have to answer the phones. They receive calls like this multiple times a day, trying to steal from people with cognitive impairments on fixed incomes. It's horrible. I'd either tell them directly that we don't accept solicitations or scams or I'd just set the phone down and let them hang up after figuring out I wasn't there anymore (wasting their time). If they argued with me, I'd also just set down the phone. Wish I could've had this done to them.
This number came in a pop up, the pop up is like a Microsoft warning that your computer has been infected and you need to call this number inmidiately, don't close this message or your computer will be disconnected from the internet for the safety of Microsofts netwerk. I've called the number and the accent was the same as the scammers in this video. Also the same accent as a man who ones called me and told me he was an employee from Microsoft and told me my computer was infected. He wanted me to give him acces to my computer and he would fix it for me, he wanted me to install software so he could get in from behind his desk. Both times I hanged up the phone and didn't give them what they wanted. This is the number from the pop up: 085.2085308 and this is the like from the pop up: https://gr-th-59.s3.amazonaws.com/vbhnb/ts-chrome-engnew24/index.htm?n=085-208-5308&error= If a someone reads this and can take them out, be my guest!
202-621-0316 They have blocked all my numbers because I keep calling them back. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
YOU ARE A ROCK STAR!!!! God I wish I knew how to do this! You should package this and sell it!!! I would absolutely purchase it!!!!
Add 773-877-3689 to your script please. The arrest warrant for me has been issued and the IRS agent will be at my door in 30 minutes....
Please check out this number as they have called me quite a number of times with the usual threats on a recorded message: 226 213 2918. Most annoying as they sometimes call early morning waking me up!
I'd love to buy this software and install on my phone! Just fed up with scammers!!
Thank you for what you did/are doing. I get these calls all the time but I never answer them. I have caller ID and I know its not someone I know or a company I know. Again thank you so much for all the people you are helping.
These a*****e call me about 3 times a week. I know it's a scam so I just hang up. What I really. Hate is having stop everything to answer the phone. Thanks for sticking it to them I wish I knew how! I live in gratitude ! May God grant you the Best of everything
I love it! lol... It's almost as much fun as messing with those scammers who call and say they are "Windows Support" and that you have a virus. Every time they call, I do something different. My best are just saying over and over "Is it safe?" (watch the Marathon Man if you dont get this one. And my all time favorite is answering with "NSA Field Office 34, We have locked in your number, and you are accessing a secure line illegally." My most fun one is just letting them do their schpeel, switching to a heavy italian/chicago accent and telling them I'm sending down my cousin Vinny to have a chat with them.... That one never gets old.
The scammers are at it again. The # they called from this time was 877-843-3339. The other recent # they have used is 253-205-8595. Rock on
Wow! Wish I knew how to send your programming to unsolicited calls that my mother (widowed) receives. She gets at least 5-10 a day.
This is amazing! Can we submit numbers for "Microsoft", too? Excellent job - you should get some kind of medal for this!
Brilliant :) !! Maybe you can teach this stuff to people somehow so more of us start scamming the scammers. Would be great if poss!
Too bad that most people don't know that the real IRS are scammers, too!
They need to replace the dead beats working for the "Do Not Call List" with you!
WELL DONE!!! This is so amazingly awesome. Some of the scammers are speaking Punjabi as well as Hindi. Saying things such as " I don't understand what he's saying" (referring to your recording) and "I am getting the same thing every time I call." There are also a few curse words thrown in there. THANK YOU FOR DOING THIS!!!!!!
This is so wonderful!! While I don;t fall for these things, I particularly hate the one claiming to be calling from "Windows" , I wish I could do this to them. Just because I know better, I know lots of elderly people that will fall for this stuff ;( I usually string them for awhile and then ask if their Mother knows that they make a living cheating/scamming elderly people out of their savings...
I love you and want to have your baby. Can the program and instructions be posted and downloaded? This would be a bot net I'd allow all my computers to run.
Dude ... I would totally pay for a service where I give you a number trying to scam me and you do this to them.
My mom got a voicemail from the "IRS" she realized that it was a scam however because they mail any notices to her.
BRAVO !!!!!! I was a software engineer before retiring and I have to admit that this solution did not cross my mind. Very clever.
It's too bad you can't post the script you wrote. But you did make me grin. Awsome!
This is AWESOME!!!! Thank you so much! Hope more programmers can get on board and do this too! Hilarious how they call the programmer a piece of s**t...Hypocrisy at it's finest LOL
I had a friend from Iran make me a recording where he told them in Arabic that his family would find them and punish them. Last call from that bunch.
I got the same guy over and over. First it was IRS then it was free government money give away and now it is four lawsuits pending. I am going to book mark this page and post the number. I have to find it for you. 4chan should set up a page where we can post the numbers they are calling from Test the number then attack the number. LOL
Freaking epic bro! We should pay people to do this. Seriously, how is this not a job? We need to create this; save us all a lot of headache.
So i just got home and this message was on my answering machine ~ "hi, this is the tax crime investigation unit of IRS. The reason you are receiving this pre-recorded message is to notify you that IRS has issued an arrest warrant against you. Right now, you and your physical property both are being monitored and it's very important that i do hear back from as soon as possible before we proceed further in any legal manner. My direct call back number is 228-463-3251. Thank you" Work you magic on this number please.

Thanks for the effort you took in tying this operation up. I used to be a Programmer until a stroke knocked me back, so I know (remember, sort of) what your code does. I can only hope more folks like you can clear up this troublesome scourge. Keep it going, good sir.
Thank you so much! My daughter has been getting these IRS calls. She just doesn't answer. I will send you any numbers I suspect are scammers.
love what you did, is there any way more of us can use your code to do the same? would need step by step info. for now i just call and call and if in an office, i use all the calls. once i used speaker phone and as one answered the other starting yelling at him. it was two different scam offices.
YesItWasDataMined you are a GOD!!! This is brilliant and made my day! Kudos to you, thanks for the laugh and for a job well done!
"Their Hindi". Does it not occur to you that some speak Hindi who are watching this who don't operate scammer call centers who are decent Americans? Your racism is showing.
Thanks. They called my husband three times in two days, he kept them on the phone as long as possible and finally offered the last one a job!!!! He said after the abuse he had heaped on him and called him every horrible thing he could think of, the guy was still on the phone trying to get him to send a prepaid card to him!!!!!
Totally loved it. Don't people know the IRS does not call. You get a letter, officially, from them.
As someone who received this call twice in the last few weeks, I'm glad someone did something about it. Thank you so much :) I'm an Indian studying in the US, and I obviously recognized the Indian accent right away but I thought maybe the IRS outsourced the grunt work like this to Indian call centers so for a while I kind of thought it might be real, although I was pretty much in disbelief the whole time. During the call, I googled about it and saw that the IRS never asks you to pay up immediately like that. The funniest part was when they asked me to pay in Walmart / CVS gift cards or something, and I actually laughed. They said two police officers would be coming to arrest me in 45 minutes if I didn't pay up. I told them I'll take my chances and went back to sleep. The Hindi is mostly swearing, not anything worth translating.
I LOVE YOU!!! Thanks! I wish we, as a people, had that kind of software to use from our end as well
i just want to be able to blow the screen up so i can see what code he typed to do this so i can assist in his efforts lmao
If you do hang up call the correct number from another phone if possible or call someone you know first in case they are holding your line.
"Mada Chode" is mother f***er in Hindi, fyi. I love this. What tech, did you use? Are ypou familiar with 419eater.com?
I just got one of these calls yesterday. Here's the number they called from 415-506-9067.
You are AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!! They deserved every minute!! Hope you find more of these rotten scoundrels!!
Bless you! I have friends who are recently arrived refugees. This was their first year here and first year paying taxes. Shortly after, they got one of these calls. Their daughter was suspicious enough that she called me for advice--but only after she had already given the scammers their debit card number. So I hightailed it across town to help explain (easier in person) and call the bank to cancel their card. Then called the scammers and gave them a substantial piece of my mind. You are a hero and this was deeply satisfying!
THANK YOUUUU - I received a phone call last year, I was driving all the way from TX to ND. I was in the middle of NO WHERE - they had someone to "meet me" at the next town near a fed ex station - WHAT???? How scary is it to think that there are so many. YOU ROCK!!
One business would not stop calling me. So one Friday night (and did not stop until the fax ran out of paper) I sent them a 500 page fax. I got a call from a very pissed off owner on Monday. I said "hey, you don't bother me and I won't bother you!
You are my Hero!! When I get those calls I do my best to troll them. I usually get out " oh really well I am tech support!" Usually the next thing I hear is the sound of the phone hanging up..
Interestingly, I just got a call from one. 628-888-2235. Have at it.
last time the fakes called i said i had just got off the phone with ms and they said they don't call people and then they tried saying well this is in regard to that. lol shame i couldn't do this to them
Also, when I get a robo call selling c**p from duct cleaning to what ever, I ALWAYS make an appointment for them to come by my house located MILES from civilization so I can personally tell them I did not appreciate thier robocalls. They usually have to come more than once since we are in a gated community and I never tell them that.
I love it but I am jealous.... when I get these calls I too jam their lines but only one call at a time using my Google voice number. When they call I ride their asses as hard as I can....which gives me some relief in a tough day. What we need is a central location to report such numbers so programmers like this can take them out instead of having to wait until the scammers happen to call him.
I had this type of scam call from my purported power company threatening to turn off my business's power for non-payment. Since I'm on auto-pay, I knew this was a scam. I told them I needed to go to the bank to get some information before I could pay and could I call them back. Then I gave their number to the power company and the fraud division of my local police, after which I called them back. They asked if I had my account information and I said, "I'd rather give you the number for the fraud division of my police department, since they now know about your scam." He hung up rather quickly.
Yay for the Good Guys! Oh, how I wish I could do this (and more...) to the scammers who have been calling me DAILY for YEARS! SAME ONE! We know each others voices!
This is the best thing I've ever seen in my life! THANK YOU GREAT HACKER!
Well done!! Scum like this need removing from the world!!! Well done indeed :)
What we need is for you to get hired by Homeland Security, pass this script around and have an entire department dedicated to running it. You, sir, are a true American Hero.
My thoughts are that these people think they are contracted by the IRS, they don't know themselves. Fake apple stores in China hired people who didn't even know their employer was not apple!
PAY BACK.....thank you from those of us that have been on the receiving end way too many time. Priceless :)
Can you teach us the trick to use the program and flood the callers that we get?
Please Please Please can I get your contact and put you on retainer we need people like this.
It is about time this happens. Thank you for flooding their phone lines. I've gotten many of these calls from the fake IRS.
Thank you trust me I play with them on the phone when they me just to get laughs and boy do they get pissed! lol
I think I love this person. What an awesome way to battle the scammers!
What brilliant way to throw a monkey wrench into their system! Congratulations.
I wish i knew how to do this, i get so many spam and scam calls that i know are scams and i warn all my friends and family. wish i knew how to send stuff like this to make them pay dearly. lol.. this is genius.
A lot better solution then mine. I just call back and act like a senile old man, never giving them information, but going off on tangents and tying up their phone until they curse me out and hang up in frustration.
I got one today for credit card scam. Sounded like the same scammers. I already reported it to Nomorobo and deleted the number or I would have given to you. It was a 561 area code.
Kudos. Wish I could do this! Instead, I just hold them on the phone going through the motions so I'm using up their time. Means others don't get scammed whilst I'm there talking to them!
LOVE IT! LOVE IT! LOVE IT! LOVE IT! LUURRRVING IT!!!! Hats off to you sir!!!!
Thank you-- I receive 3-6 scam calls a day and I would love to see this happen to more scammers. Good job.
hahahahahhaahhahahaaa I have a question... could you hear them talking through your phone as you were calling, or recorded them somehow?
Considering the climate in todays world, I loved this! I've gotten calls from these people, surprisingly they actually leave messages, most don't. I've had local tax issues, I know how these people talk and this is not it. I've often wished I could something like this, Gods bless the man that could.
This should be a service implemented by ALL the phone and communications services worldwide - well played, Sir
Thank you for being so amazing!! These lowlife cause so much misery that giving it back to them is sweet revenge. Please keep up the great work. Thanks again.
How did he call them all from one phone line? How did he attach his computer to his phone to do this?
I wish I was able to do this to whoever is calling me from so so many numbers..."this is 'whoever; from card services" Now I call them up and use my very loud whistle on them..Its my only weapon, and I use it!
Fabulous. I would like to know what he used for his outgoing phone banks. Phreaking? OR a service?
Superb.. There are hundreds of scam call centres in India. I support your actions to stop those lying & cheating jerks. There are the famous windows scam, the antivirus scam and survey scam.
CMU, wish you could tell us how you done this but I understand there are those that would use that info for evil :-)
Holy c**p. I received a phone call just today from automated system claiming to be the IRS and demanding I call some 516 number. I knew it was a scam, I reported the number on a few websites. I'm an asterisk VoIP admin and I truly considered having one of my servers flood their 516 number. It's hilariously ironic that hours later I find a post where somebody has actually done it. Good job, I guess now I won't have to hehe.
CMU I wish you showed us how to do this but I understand it can be used for evil :-) good job he got scammed back :-)
Loved it.. i understoid hindi.. but it was nothing much the abusing getting frustrated and then trying to ignore and find a way to block.. lol.. hats off to the person would love to meet him up one day
Those shits are just cursing you! Keep up the good work. If you can get their address, I can forward it to some local authorities. Let them burn in hell!
That was the BEST! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Still laughing 😂 :-)
I've noticed you used your public API that you use to make the phone calls and as far as I can remember it was payed. I wonder how much this revenge endevour has cost you?
Just got a similar call today from the "local sheriff's office" saying that I had missed appearing in court yesterday. I heard background noise like a "boiler room" and knew it was a bogus call. As the caller started down his script, I said. "Bu!!sh*t!" and hung up. Called the local police to report the fraud. If Project Mayhem is monitoring these comments, you can attack this number in California - 805.517.4024. Also, is there anyway of commercializing what you do to take it right back to these scammers!?!?!
please please market this so we can plug our phones into it and do it to them...I get a least one call a week from these effers
I've always wanted to be able to do this. Thank you for making one of my dreams come true
I loved it!! I wish I could do that to those who call and try to get my money!
I would like to share with you the phone numbers that I get calls from so you can do this to them. I have had far too many. I applaud your efforts. How can I submit phone numbers to you (which I assume you would call to check that I was not giving you a valid number before inflicting this denial on)?
also if, can we email you a list of numbers ?
Load More Replies...i would love to see a youtube Chanel of these scammer calls. you defo need somewhere people can forward you scammers numbers.
LOVE YOU!!!! Can you just pull a scam/block list from Mr. Number and be proactive :) :) :) <3
Marvelous! The only complaint I have is now I don't get to mess with them, when they call me. But that is fine.
Yay for you! You should do it everyday to keep these jerks from calling us 8-10 times a day!
Amazing... I wish I had the ability to f**k them over like that... keep up the good work
You rock! You are a huge blessing to all the rest of us. Thank you. And many blessings be upon you!
Didn't it cost you to flood them???? If it is cheap then i would like to help
Too bad video quality is not good enough for reading the code. I can see you are using twilio for calling service, but would be cool to see the code. It is C# if I can see correctly? :)
It would hardly be wise to share this code publicly :-o
Load More Replies...I'm very curious on the programming behind the 'multiple phone numbers' as I'm guessing the person running this wonderful public service doesn't have 10 (? I tried to count) different numbers at his disposal. I have a feeling that the answer is unlikely to be posted publicly. I'll just keep learning. What would take this a level up is if the recording offered postings for other potential jobs - I have a feeling a lot of people who are only doing this in the hopes of earning a tiny salary will be completely out of work soon. But there really isn't any way to protect 'the public at large' and 'the unfortunate people working at scam centers for lack of other options' at the same time.
The scammers that we get in my area don't even go through the amount of effort these 'IRS agents' do. They just come right out and ask for your credit card number
Liam Nieson: I will find you, and I will kill you(r ability to scam people).
This one is better: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Du6acZ-PZQ8 the guy cries on the phone saying his supervisor will kill him begging the scambaiter to unbrick it. But hell I love all videos where these lowlifes get their dues.
Racism is unnecessary... scum come in all colors, shapes, sizes, ethnicities, genders.
Load More Replies...This is just temporary fix. They can get another phone number.
What I really appreciate is that you google their new phone number and hunt them down.

Load More Replies...What I really appreciate is that you Google their new phone number and hunt them down. Hunt them down ! Hunt all of them down !
