I’m A Primary School Teacher And I Illustrate My Teaching Experience In Comics (31 Pics)
So what goes on on a typical day as a primary school teacher you may ask? Well, thanks to me we may have the answers!
I am a primary school teacher from Galway, Ireland. By day, I have the fun task of educating the next generation of kids... by night... I'm an artist! Having a particular interest in animation and cartooning, I decided to combine the two things I'm most passionate about - teaching and drawing - and these are the results!
I draw on moments from the school nativity play, lunchtime struggles and general life working as a teacher.

I seriously remember this feeling, running into a teacher somewhere other than school. It was surreal.
At the age of fifteen, I ran into my English teacher in the lingerie dept of a dept store. I had a legitimate reason for being there( delivering stock in my Saturday job) but it was weird to see her rummaging in the sexy underwear.
Load More Replies...haha even i used to think the same thing when i was a kid. Its funny :p
For some reason my grandsons first school holidays thought his school building was going somewhere on holidays while he stayed home, 😂
When out with my family when I was in grade school we had met the teacher at a store. I didn't recognize her at all. She didn't have her teacher hair do or glasses or her teacher dress on. No matter what anyone said to me I kept saying no and that my teacher is in school. I was a slow one right up to the fourth grade.
Now he better give them good grades ... otherwise his house is gonna get egg'd
I was the quietest, politest kid in class. One day wiped out on some ice in the middle of some random dudes driveway. I had some choice words for the guy who didn't salt his sidewalk (he was standing at his car back to me as I when on my tirade). He turned around and it was my history teacher. Most awkward moment ever. Class was interesting the rest of the year...
We ran into one of my kids teachers during Trick or Treating. LOL!
Haha, I have been asked this so many times! And once, my niece asked me how I could be a teacher if I lived in my house, because all her teachers lived in school (or so she thought!)
Most don't get a summer break.. they have summer jobs to make ends meet and then go back to the grind...
I know this too well... our teacher expected us also just to KNOW which page we were on...
Your first two years working in an elementary school will be tough, but you'll build an immune system hard as a rock.
Sees this in July: (*Screams internally*), Sees this in August: (*Internal screaming becomes internally deafening*)
Also works with "Mommy, I can't find [insert whatever is just in front of him/her/them]"
All of my kid students ALWAYS point out that my hair is blue, every day :).
Add parent teacher conferences, class parties, and field trips, and you will know why teachers age quickly!
When i was in kindergarden, there was this substitute teacher who we called 'the tooth fairy' (i literally cant remember her real name) bevause whenever she came, one of the children would lose a tooth and no one knew why :)
Those are great. Looking simple (but hard to draw, I know that) and the eyes are very expressive. Keep it up!
Me (teacher): This is a pen. This is a pen. THIS! is a pen. Pen. Pen. P. E. N. Pen. Puh, eh, nuh! This is a pen. What is it? Student: Uh. Red!
Nice job! I, too, teach primary. This is very honest and real. Thank you for sharing and I look forward to your first book.
You should really make these into gifts...tea towels, mugs, pictures - they'd sell :-)
I now play darts against my old maths teacher from 15 years ago,I'm so glad he retired his maths is terrible
Absolutely True, definitely feel to heart, even though I’m a student myself.
Have you ever been taught the facts of life by a 5 year old? Here they are. Mummy lays an egg in her tummy. Daddy fertilizes it and 9 months later you get a baby. Fast forward a week or 2. The room is silent. (Unbelievable but true.) A voice pierces the silence. The only thing I don't get is what fertilizer does dad use, Maxicrop or Seasol (2 different kinds of fertilizer) and how does he did it in there?
Really good and it's exactly like that even with young adults in my English classes!!! Keep them coming!
fantastic! Wishing you a lot of patience with your little bugging angels!
This is absolutely the most relatable set of comics I have come across. Thank you and great work!
I loved all of those and can even relate to a few (as my "kid self" from the past, far away and long ago)
The good merry and interesting school stories in pictures. I thank author!

I, too, was a teacher and can totally relate to these delightful mini stories! Thanks for putting them out there for us to enjoy.
Kudos to the Kindergarten and 1st grade elementary teachers who had to play the role of second Mom/Dad in school.
