I Illustrate What It’s Like To Be A Primary School Teacher (35 New Pics)

I am a primary school teacher from Galway, Ireland. By day, I have the fun task of educating the next generation of kids… by night… I’m an artist! Having a particular interest in animation and cartooning, I decided to combine the two things I’m most passionate about – teaching and drawing – and these are the results!
I draw on moments from the school nativity play, lunchtime struggles and general life working as a teacher. You can see more of my comics in my first and second posts on Bored Panda.

I remember when my son was small, he asked me how old I was. When I told him he said "WOW YOU'RE OLD!" I laughed. Then I cried. XD
I feel like this when I see a coworker somewhere other than work
But there is no way to know if you're 17 or not you can even type 25 while you're 12 In real life
Load More Replies...on the third frame, that one kid in the back...kinda...cared a little lol
kids still do this? In elementary school it was always someone...that one kid
sad that this is what people only talk about..... hopefully 2019 will change it somehow....
Yes, now a days you have to go out in all weather especially if you live in England. Rain is the main weather here
I remember back before health and safety. Back then, it was called common sense.
How eggciting! It's a good eggspeariance. Pity you have to shell out for eggs, and I'm not eggsagerating! I'm in total eggstacy!
All of these are fantastic, gave me a good laugh! Can't imagine it's easy being a teacher nowadays with all the "memes" kids bring to the classroom.
Why would memes make it harder to teach? (Speaking as a gen z student)
Mental shortcuts are only good in math.
Ha! awesome work! Thanks for the laughs! Keep up the work!
That little kid in the back row...lol!!!
Now that was enjoyable.
I remember me calling my teacher mom in kindergarten...
BRILLIANT! Great idea! I can just *hear* that shrill screech - 'teeeeacher!' My sister is a primary school teacher - sent it on to her ;)
These made my day!
These are newspaper comics good
Lovely, thank you for sharing ;)
For some reason the art style seems like 'Rejected' got mixed with 'Simon's Cat'.
I'm reminded of The Simpsons (in a good way).
Fair play, these were awesome. They tell my life almost perfectly....except I actually enjoy fortnite and am a champion flosser!
Yup public school kids prey on the weakness of teachers
From what I hear, the students are not held accountable, even for violence.
Just made me happy I teach University and not Grade School. Of course we have our own silly drama to deal with daily.
sad how i can kinda relate with a 10 yo brother
Interesting.
This portrays all kids as lazy, hopeless, self-absorbed brats and the teachers as perfect heros who do no wrong. Very bad.
