Every year, for International Women's Day—March 8, I have a tradition of posting illustrations dedicated to many brave women from around the world. In the past years, there were 91 illustrations dedicated to all female recipients of the Yugoslavian "Order of the People's Hero," as well as portraits of female combatants from the Spanish Civil War.

This year, I decided to publish illustrations of 20 fierce female activists. They have been clearing the path for every woman out there and represent everyday inspiration. Unfortunately, some of them are still facing prison sentences and prosecution. Their work should be our example and inspiration of how to build a better future for everyone.

I don't really understand what the quote says, but I think it says "I wish that human life might pure transparent freedom" It's oddly positioned.

Why is Bored Panda celebrating Marxists? Because they love mass death?
