The employees, that have to comply with the rule regardless of thinking it was idiotic most likely, absolutely love the people who do idiotic things like this thinking they are making a point too, I am sure.

I closed multiple accounts over the years when clients pulled this type of b******t with my employees. We have to follow the policies out in place whether we agree with them or not. Torturing my employees thinking they are making a point, does nothing but prove to me that you have no issue treating my employees poorly therefore their business was unwelcome.

My grandparents chose not to use atms. They only had a cheque book anyway so would have to change the account to be able to be accessed by the atm. Later, my mum just withdrew money from the branch for them as they were unable to get out to do it themselves. They took out a certain amount each month though (hundreds) so not sure about a minimum amount, and google just tells me the maximum, so I assume you can take out $10 at a time.

And being an a*s to the employees that have to follow it even when they hate it does what? Except give the employee extra work so the customer can have a fake power trip.

It's more likely to try to get the people to use ATMs to eventually cut down on teller staffing and resources. This is what Americans banks have been pushing for 5+ years. ATMs don't charge fees if it's your bank.

If you have any bank charging fees at their own ATM that is a you issue for not making sure you have a decent bank. It is not the employees issue.

You think the employee at the bank, who was the only person inconvenienced here, is the person responsible for making the stupid rule?

Actually, the moral of this story is the poor employee did not have a good manager. The employee had zero option of following the policy. The customer on the other hand had absolute control over treating that employee poorly to attempt to make a point, while merely coming ng across as an entitled a*s. When I had people pull thos type of power trips with my employees I closed their accounts every single time. No matter how big or small. All

The employee did not make the rules but had the extra work - not a good job, in my opinion. She could have asked for 110 and deposited the 100 again. Same effect, much less effort.

That's usually the standard but if you choose the enter a specific amount instead of one of the fixed options you might be able to withdraw only 10€(it works in my country)

Not everyone wants to use an ATM, for various reasons... dont trust, want human contact, cant figure it out, dont want to touch the germy machine.. the list goes on... .
