People say that it’s easy to be right but even easier to be wrong. More often than not, people forget to be careful about what they say online. Quickly typing a few nonsense sentences and pressing "share" might seem like a great idea at the time, but the truth is, they might stay on the internet forever.

The online community called Aged Like Milk is here to remind you of that. As the moderators write in their description, it’s "a subreddit dedicated to all those things in media and elsewhere that didn’t stand the test of time, at all." More than 795k members are on a mission to find and document ridiculous posts that quickly turned sour.

Take a look at some of the worst takes Bored Panda has collected from this group and upvote your favorite ones. Also, if you’re hungry for more examples of how people’s opinions came back to bite them, be sure to check out Part 1 of this post right here.

This is really good. Especially when you consider Superman himself is an actual alien. Not even from this Earth, and yet, he's here to help. Hides his hero identity, trying to blend in and living a seemingly normal life.... As an immigrant, I love that concept.

According to Know Your Meme, "aged like milk" is a catchphrase that mainly describes social media posts that have grown increasingly troublesome since their inception. When people throw their opinions left and right, some of them are bound to be wrong. Well, they might look fine at the time, but time truly shows which beliefs aged poorly by completely breaking modern social norms.

While the origin of the phrase is unknown, the earliest usage comes from a 2006 comedy special Jeff Dunham: Arguing with Myself. A puppet called Walter said "She's aging like milk!" in one part of the dialog. Since then, the clip received more than 4.2M views on YouTube and quickly spread to other platforms, forums, and threads.

There's a reason it's called the Daily Fail. Consistently on the wrong side of history since the day it was founded. This is the newspaper that supported the rise of the Na zi s, opposed women's rights, denied (and still does) the existence of climate change... A couple of weeks ago they were still publishing articles about the dangerous far-right militias in Ukraine and how Putin was right to be worried about the threat from them...

If you ever felt slightly embarrassed about something you shared online, don’t worry. After all, social media is the place for us to vent about politics, culture, sports, our personal lives, and more, so you’re definitely not the only person to ever have a bad take. In fact, more than half of Americans (57 percent) say they have social media regrets. One in six routinely rue their decision to post at least once a week, with Millennials being the most regular offenders.

roll_hog Report

These numbers come from YouGov Omnibus' survey where they asked U.S. citizens about posting or texting something they regret. Many people admitted they were less anxious about sounding silly compared to a few years back. However, they are more worried about damaging their reputation at work — 22 percent said they are concerned that a questionable post might affect their career.

Results also showed that 14 percent of participants feared they may hurt relationships with family members or partners by sharing misguided images or messages. Plus, women were slightly more likely to feel troubled about social media blunders damaging their close relationships than men.

Just another day in Arizona. /s It never ceases to amaze me how stupid some of my fellow Americans can be. I’ve had a few people ask me, on the internet mind you, if I have to fight Indians and Mexicans off my land. Minds are blown when I tell them it’s not 1863 and I grew up in a predominantly Mexican neighborhood.

To be fair, those people probably know it's easy for those Mexicans to stroll over from New Mexico.

It's because of the popularity of westerns at the time. Between 1930-1954, approximately 2700 westerns were made and many only had one plot - killing the natives. Horrific to think that was so normalised.

As a person with Indigenous blood - as a human being - I find this utterly offensive. "Hey, little Susie and Tommy - we just killed your father, raped your mother, and gave your siblings smallpox! Now we;'re going to desecrate the graves of you grandparents! Woo hoo! What a great day!"

Grew up in Michigan. We didn't play cowboys and Indians, we just played indians. I never really aspired to societal ideals of manhood through sports and success, ect. I just wanted to live in the forest, utilize the resources around me, and not be part of what we call "society". Real men don't need a support group, but a good dog is a bonus.

I used to play a games called ingress. You walk around town and use the AR app to capture points of interest and destroy things enemy players have captured. A friend of mine was walking back from the pub at stupid o clock and was stopped by a policeman because she looked really dodgy hanging around the back of a church. 'what are you doing at this time in the morning out back of the church?' 'its ok officer. Im just blowing it up.' I nearly wet myself laughing as she called me to pick her up from the police station.

Can we just agree that that was then and we don't do that any more? That we've grown and moved on? Can we quit passing this judgement on the past? Things were a bit different then. You can't judge them from todays standards.

Take it in context, and consider what societal norms were! Political correctness is a modern invention. It wasn't even a gleam in someone's imagination, back in those days. It's so unfair to judge the past by today's standards. Fortunately, we have evolved and have learned much about equality, inclusion, and acknowledgment. We cannot and should not use "old society norms" as a basis for any sort of comparison. Instead, we should use them as contrasts.

My brother and I played army when we went to visit one family who had a boy his age and a girl my age. They were the army men and we were the nurses. But I don't know who they were fighting. But we had snap guns. I just know they didn't get injured enough for our liking. This is the '60s and early '70s. No cowboys, no Indians. Never had an issue with either.

Those people, in the past, from MANY nations were terrible. They did exactly what you said, yes. However, let's not blame the American people today for that or the nations their ancestors came from. No-one can help the actions of their ancestors. Sick and tired of that attitude from every corner of the world it comes from. Look at those who do wrong today and speak out against that, support actions against that. Blaming people for the past does eff all. Look back and learn, but blame culture does little.

I was a kid in the 60s, and I cringe every time I think of all the racist stuff that was just common practice then. Sexist stuff too, but the casual racism really disturbs me when I think about how it was then. I grew up in the southern US, so for many of my neighbors, extreme racism was just normal daily life.

If you’re wondering how to make sure your social media posts won’t come back to bite you, always think twice before sharing something online. Ask yourself if there’s anything in this particular post or comment that could potentially hurt you in the future. Think about whether it might defame a specific view or lifestyle. Also, determine whether your words will actually contribute to the conversation or whether they will only create more noise.

Also, it’s always good to self-reflect and review your older media posts. It’s recommended to delete inactive accounts, provocative or controversial topics and discussions, and anything that might make you look overly cynical or mean. You have a larger audience than you think, so it’s quite easy to overshare and sacrifice your privacy. And just remember, if you ever end up posting something extremely cringe-worthy, there’s a big chance the members of the Aged Like Milk group will pick it up and will make sure to share it with the whole community.

What's worse is the people who didn't make it out of Afghanistan. We're talking about a history of religious violence that has an almost unrivaled brutality in today's world. And we just turned the lions loose on unsuspecting civilians and then shrugged as the lion do what they do. Worse, we gave the Taliban weapons.
