Ever wondered how some of our beloved popular characters have evolved over time?
With each passing year, many things change, and characters of popular culture do, too, get their characteristics modified from time to time.
With that drawing idea in mind, an artist from Los Angeles - Jeff Victor - has depicted exactly that - evolutions of the most iconic pop culture characters from their earliest concepts to how you may recognize them today. The cartoon drawings are truly pleasing and unique, putting all that creative work behind infamous characters into a new perspective.
But, please, by all means, scroll down and see the character designs for yourself!

Load More Replies...They are not the same person at all. The First guy is Shazam aka Captain Marvel - DC Comics and from the third its Marvel comics - Captain Marvel.
Well this one makes no sense. This represents the Captains from both Marvel and DC Comics.
There are two different Captain Marvels, the male is DC and the female is Marvel
Technically there were two different characters, three even. One was owned by marvel and got their powers from a skrull, and the other was owned by DC and got his powers from the greek gods.
That's the wrong captain marvel to start with. That is the DC's captain marvel (now called shazam) for the 1939 one
Ey, at the end of Infinity War, Fury was sending a message to someone, and that someone was Captain Marvel. I CAN'T WAIT!!!
all different people... except #2 & 3, same person.... #5 & 6 same person. (#5 got power from #3)
I was confused a first since the first one is Shazam but then I googled it they just have the same name but Shazam was just renamed for fans not to be mistaken for Captain Marvel of MARVEL.
Shazam came first...this is combining DCs Captain Marvel (Shazam) and Marvel's Captain Mar-vel
1939 looks an awful lot like Shazam...I wonder if DC ripped off Marvel or Marvel ripped off DC?
Skeletor
Venom
Batgirl/Batwoman
Robin
Xenomorph
Leonardo
Mr.freeze
Green Lantern
Technically there are many Green Lanterns. There was never one singular one--although for years I used to think Hal Jordan was the only one and that for the animated Justice League series, they made him black in order to be more ethical minded--not knowing that this was actually another Green Lantern entirely.
But wolverine has been the same guy since the 1700s
Load More Replies...I would love to see a Bowie evolution from 1966 onward. That might be a 15-panel one, though!
I have questions about skeletor in 2014. What is movie called and where can I get it?
Some of the character development took place in the comics, not the movies
