45 Shocking Photos Showing How Bad Pollution In China Has Become
China has some stunningly beautiful natural landscapes, but they may not count for much when, in other parts of the country, pollution runs totally unchecked. These shocking photos show what severe pollution people have to deal with in some parts of China.
Beijing and other parts of China have already become notorious for their incessant clouds of smog, which present very real health risks to anyone not wearing dust masks. Unregulated dumping in various rivers throughout China is fairly common, as many of the photos in this series help illustrate.
Chinese leaders have vowed to get serious on air pollution, but change will be difficult in a country whose industry has expanded so rapidly. If you have any photos illustrating these difficulties, please add them to this list.

Julija, this is clean water, its from Reuters and it was explaining why there was a algae.... why the misinformation?
What are you talking about? This is not clean water by any stretch of the imagination. Many sources call this one of the most polluted lakes
Load More Replies...The algae outbreak is caused by an increase in nitrogen and phosphorus as a result of domestic/industrial sewage. Devastating to wildlife.

3000 dead pigs? WTF?! We can't afford to tell the developing world that it's OK just because we were able to pollute.
"They"? And you have not contributed to pollution at all? No. WE are destroying this planet like cancer.
Load More Replies...Hahaha it clearly is. You must be in denial. Or perhaps you don't know what clean water looks like. That is a bit sad.

If you feel strongly about it perhaps look at where the things you buy were made. Dollar stores may be cheap, but at the cost of our planet.
Exactly!!!! Just because China is on the opposite side of the world, doesn't mean we haven't contributed to this in some way shape or form!
Load More Replies...Luck? Lucky? We're part of the problem. We buy 'Made in China' but do nothing to help with the cleanup the products produce!!
Noone can help China exept the Chinese, you know. What keeps 'em from cleaning their own wastes?
Load More Replies...I think the CEO's of the companies responsible for this pollution should the ones in the muck cleaning!
They are primarily state owned enterprises, probably also explains the crackdown on Chinese environmentalists who speak out about pollution.

The planet will recover, once we have killed enough plants and animals and die ourselves.
Load More Replies...Don't buy from China until they change their environmental regulations.
Load More Replies...This is pretty racist. I think I could find some equally damning photos of other countries.
we, must help. but there has to be some part of china, that is not this bad
I try to NOT purchase articles made in China! It is difficult, but it can be done.BUY AMERICAN!

I've been in Beijing 18 days on last October, The air was blue and some days it was impossible to breathe. It was a nightmare to me
Massive consumption. Don't buy what u don't need. That's how you can help the world. Sorry if I don't speek my mind. Not enough characters.
It has been an article that has been described in the best way I have ever read. Thank you admin Etkileyici Sözler
I think it is a total disaster, a hopeless situation and thanks to communism boys and girls. But stay away from there.
Just go to your nearest Walmart or most supermarkets and see where the majority, if not all of the fish sold at that store are from. I use to like fish but I refuse to purchase it anymore. Even Walmart labels will read Wild Caught in USA, but the next line will Product of China, Processed in China. I can't imagine China people fishing in USA waters. Also pass on any garlic products unless they are labeled grown, packed and distributed from California. If not, your garlic was planted in contaminated ground and spiced with human waste. This is just 2 of the many contaminated foods sold in the USA. 0112171320...302a2d.jpg
Actually I could,n give a f.. about Chinas pollution problem. The are killing any animal species for making so called medicines. They are one of the most cruelest nations in the world towards animals. Maybe if all those abusers would choke to death we would be better off. Unfortunalty we are stuck with these subhumans because everything is made there. Pollution ... they donèt care , 90% of their foods are laden with heavy metals. And their corrupt government does not give a S**T about its population. There are absolutlty no norms for the evironment just like India. Big nations of producers but bigger destroyers.I will never visit there country even if they have a f...n wall thats 1 million years old.
The system there is complicated and incredibly corrupt. It would take a God-given natural disaster to change everything and it's getting worse and worse. There are articles available if one chooses to read them on understanding their incredibly complicated communist (so called free) government system. They are on the verge of collapse in a few years and we are not free of the impact of that.
That is how our world will become if we don't do something about it!

All Chinese anywhere in this world would stand on a table and with the snap of a finger by their president to jump, the earth will shake.
That must be one of the most depressing images I have seen in a while. What a way to enliven a Saturday night.
I think, they are World Criminals..making money,by killing our common Home - Earth..I do boycott all products, made in China..
It's like this almost everywhere. Google pollution photos from all over the world. You will find them.
This is terrible. This must be stopped now.The fault isn't only of citizens, but of corruption and government ( who wants only money).
*polluting but one giant firm can pay xxxxx$ and wont even feel it missing from their budget.
Imo, China just lost control over this many (and more) factories, when pollution is done you cant retrieve it, i guess they have law against
Load More Replies...What's wrong with these people!?! Why are they tolerating such filth? Can't they see this c**p, and realize that it's not good for them?
All of us are responsible for this. Everything is mass produced and cheap. Stop buying made in china read your labels and understand them.
I lived in Beijing in 1979/80. There was no pollution to speak of - air or water. I travelled a lot. It is sad to see what they have done.
Absolutely appalling, the result of a drive for economic improvement in a country whose govt is unaccountable and wholly undemocratic .....
well china is bigger thn the entire europe so i presume that this is a low price to pay for the services that provide to the WW economy...
hey china is f****d....but we can steel buy a lot of good things i don't see any problem here
We also give people here incentives to have multiple children and people are the reason for pollution
We should stop trading with China & manufacture here at home instead we celebrate that China agrees to cap omissions by 2030 & make trade de
The Chinese are disgusting! This is why we need to stop them from moving and taking over other parts of the world and doing the same thing!
nope, I'll stay in America, thank you. Even though I am Chinese.
Load More Replies...I'm sorry but if the people cared they would clean up after them self's. We didn't go to the country and this the trash every where.
This is not okay. But of course no one cares enough to regulate and do what they need to, to make this stop.
NorthAmerica & China are geographic neighbors with juxtaposing air pressure climates if you look at the way the earth rotates.
I can't believe what we are doing to our own homes and environment this proves how stupid we actually are. It's sad.
Just shows how effective Communism is at cleaning up the planet and making peoples lives better
I'm not talking about the industrial pollution, because it's the responsability of higher authorities, but being tidy doesn't need money.
China is allowed (by Kyoto) to burn all those waste and turn it into energy. Regardless to the huge industrial demand, they could use bins.
hmm..maybe thats why theyre desperately claiming other countries' territory :/
I have been thinking the benefit of my country not having those factories - from philippines
A whole re-education system needs to take place in China regarding re-cycling & looking after the environment.
