A picture is worth a thousand words... At least that's exactly how people feel when seeing illustrations by a mysterious Japanese artist Avogado6.

The illustrator and video editor don't share many personal details about his life. "I am an ordinary person who likes chemistry," he writes on his Twitter profile, but the meaningful drawings of the artist are far from ordinary.

Avogado6 manages to create sentimental, vivid images by drawing feelings and emotions that might seem hard to describe with words. And sometimes his sad drawings don't really need an explanation, as they convey the emotions so well, often hiding a harsh social issue behind them.

The artist has more than 650k followers on Twitter and has published two books. And his success is sure to grow bigger with time, as this Japanese art maestro delivers new deep meaning illustrations very often, deciphering problems with society and our inner fears better with each one.

Yeah...and people telling you things like "Look! The key is *right there*!"

It scares me a bit to see the only response to this picture is recognition. I really hope you all have help fighting this. And if not, please have the courage to reach out to anyone who can. Wishing you all the best!

You are lovely. I have bipolar, and am in treatment. Pictures like this sometimes allow people to express themselves in a forum where like minds acknowledge and respond. All it takes is another person to say, "I feel you." Or "can I help." Thank you for your kind words. Take care

We have the key.. but we are too sad, too tired to take it and escape. And finally we fade away, unable to escape deppression.

Sometimes.. the depression has blinded you to much and the pressure of anxiety and the will to stay hidden away blocks you from the relief of freedom from your chains, so close.. yet so far away

She could roll off the bed, grab the key and unlock herself. Though I get the real meaning of this, of course.

We all belong! You belong. I to understand how you feel. But you have to remember when you feel that, it will pass. For me it passes. If it doesn't you have to find something else. I have made it through before so I think about that. I know my thoughts will pass so I try to worry about something else. Maybe not the best way to deal with it, but it works.

Reminds me of an Eagles song. How we live our lives in chains and even know we have the key.

Giving up on escaping...you'll never escape alone instead of that people will rescue you

It's so accurate. The key completes it. Coz it's just so within reach. I know what I have to do to be successful,happy..etc but it's just so impossible to get up. I have had depression for years, nd still it facinates me coz it's just so impossible to just, just reach it, nd the point is there always is a way. It's just like a piece within me is missing. I am a defective piece. Coming from a place where depression is taboo it's impossible to ask for help even when u r surrounded by doctors.

Hmm. So maybe I should empty the fridge. Hunger is a pretty strong motivator in my world. So that could be useful. I had a bad time, for me at least, a 2 1/2 half day where I just had to sleep, and was scared to get out of bed. The world was just too much. The first thing I did do though was eat when I finally made it out of my room. Curing depression one package of Ramen noodles at a time.

Look at the shadow... it seems that his own chipped parts are casting that chipping shadow. Maby it meens that we are our greatest enemies. I know that I can be great... as long as I trust myself. On other hand, when I am insecure, I am dumb as hell 😉😎

This illustration is more poetic than much of the artwork that is out there today.

This says to me "So many things that want to plug into you. To use your energy and lifeforce, and drain you." Perhaps referring also to the electronics and devices that seem to consume our lives, in this illustration, quite literally.

I may be looking way too deep into these but heres what i thought: The flower could be repesenting love and the picking of the petals could be playing on that whole "he loves me, he loves me not" rhyme sooo it could be representing a broken heart and the more times the person's heart was broken the more desensitised the person became, leading on to become a doll which is made of plastic and emotionless...?
