All Hallows Eve is approaching, and nobody wants to be caught last minute without a Halloween costume – not even the funny comic characters Pixie and Brutus. From the creative mind of Minnesota-based cartoonist, Ben Hed comes a new Halloween themed comic strip of the quirky duo.
Led by Pixie, who Hed described to Bored Panda as “a tiny, joyful, energetic kitty cat,” the unlikely pair hunt for best friend costumes for the spooky holiday. Brutus, the large, scar-faced German Shepherd, begrudgingly indulges the cute cat, as per usual, and the result is a hilarious fashion show of coordinating ensembles.
The animal character’s popularity was something Hed never planned, “Honestly, Pixie and Brutus were just another random comic idea I had while at work. I was never planning on making them a series; I just thought it would be a funny idea to introduce a cute little kitten to a big intimidating war dog who then forms an unlikely animal friendship. So I made the first Pixie and Brutus comic, and people liked it so much I just kept making them.”

I've been enjoying BP for well over a year, had never signed up till this comic came along and I HAD to get a BP account to vote it up. I LOVE Pixie and Brutus! In my mind Pixie's voice is a high pitched little squeeky voice, and Brutus sounds a lot like James Earl Jones lol

Yash! More Pixie and Brutus! The plot twist in this one was as predictable as satisfying. Well, not "predictable" actually, more like "unavoidable". Wonderful as always!
Brutus does remind me of one of my curmudgeonly SFC (Sergeant First Class/E7) leaders. He was tough, battle worn, a bit of PTSD. When he was angry it was at a situation, but hardly ever a person - still scary. But he would have his Soldier's back to the end if he thought you worthy, and always protected the young, old, innocent, weak, etc. Good man. He passed last year - pretty sure his ticket to the pearly gates was already punched. God Speed, good SFC H.

I love pixie and Brutus they are so cute together Brutus is more of a hard exterior with soft interior and seems he has a soft spot for pixie as a little sister and wants to protect her from harm it’s a very cute comic I love it thank you I may know someone who like this too
Kind of makes more sense in hindsight for Pixie to be Batman. I mean... Batman is affiliated with Catwoman. Brutus works too because of Bruce Wayne's own dog Ace, the Bathound.
The face Brutus make when he ended up wearing the Robin costume, is my mood everyday basically hahhaaa..
