Photoshop Troll Who Takes Photo Requests Too Literally Strikes Again, And The Result Is Hilarious (17 Pics)
Look, how many times have we told you to be careful what you wish for? Let me help you count. Bored Panda warned you in this same post 3 months ago and prior to that, we told you here, here, and here. Time has passed, years have gone by, seasons have changed and nobody, not a single one, has ever thought: “Wait, maybe I should really be more careful when asking James Fridman to photoshop my pic!”
Because the guy is savage. Want the lamp out of sight? Disappear into the darkness. Wanna edit the dominos out of your prom pic? You may as well be photoshopped into the delivery guy. ‘Cause if there’s one thing James is the best at, probably on the whole internet, it's making photoshop edits that are way too literal and all too hilarious. But hey, it’s what you asked for, right?

James, also known as the Photoshop wizard who has been trolling people longer than we could remember, has become notorious for his comedic photo edits and blatant misinterpretations.
“I don't consider myself a graphic designer, it is more of a hobby", he told Telegraph. When he first started using image manipulation software, it was something new and not as widespread as it is now, so everyone was up for the experiment.
James initially “did some funny edits for friends and family, and they ended up on the internet. Apparently, people found it quite entertaining and asked for more” and, as you'd imagine, the rest is history.
I don't think he was being malicious or mansplaining at all! Looking at his previous work, whenever someone asks him to make themselves look less fat, no freckles, etc he doesn't do it because he wants them to feel confident in their own skin
That's clearly his intention. I can't imagine how/why you think any different. There's not an ounce of malice in any of his re-worked photos.

I have acne and saying that I'm young I'll have it for awhile more, but this is the 3rd article I've read about him and when these come up it makes me feel like I shouldn't be mad at myself.
You shouldn't be mad at yourself and certainly not over acne. Not your fault. There is often a strong genetic component - did a parent have acne? If you haven't seen a doctor about it though I would highly recommend you do. Don't let anyone suggest that it's 'just spots and they'll go away'. Acne can scar and it can have a massive impact on self-esteem. There are things that can be done to improve it - you just have to persevere. Mine is currently being managed quite well by an antibiotic lotion thankfully!

James is very sensitive to people who are ashamed of the way they look. I applaud him for giving them advice instead of changing their features.

I feel bad for her tho. Cystic acne is hereditary and doesn't necessarily go away. My husband is 65 and still has it. Fortunately, it's mostly on his back.
I worked with someone who had acne like this she went to a dermatologist and followed everything he said to do and in 3 months here skin was totally clear.
I love this one! She really is pretty and needs to see that for herself.
So, this is the only one I have an issue with - because, how do he know she hasn't already been at a specialist? I get his intentions are good, and there's no malice at all - but acne is a cause of depression and even suicide. So unless he knows her well, and know for sure she hasn't tried any treatment, then this is just wrong...

Meant well but condescending and inappropriate, just give the girl what she asks for not a sermon of righteousness or sympathetic compliments. She’s got bad skin and wants to look nicer in a picture, however beautiful she may or may not be inside

Wish he told he to stop eating/ drinking dairy products. That was me, my entire childhood. Until a doctor told me to stop ALL dairy “products” .. and like magic, only in three months was able to see clear, beautiful skin/ face... without the endless doctors visits, expensive creams and lasers. Casey, you are beautiful just the way you are, yet, I’m still hoping you’ll read this.

Not what she asked for! Not his business and an over reach. She didn't ask for advise, either. Some women get acne like that when they are pregnant, although they may be delighted to be expecting. She just doesn't want to remember it on her hiking trip. He's Man-listening!
Omg, calm down. Do you know this guy? Have you looked at his other "picture fixes"? He normally pranks people and they still send him a pic. If she doesn't know what he is doing she didn't do good research and has no business sending anyone a picture of herself. Nobody gets what they asked from this guy, he is actually really kind to her instead of prancing her. Get a grip lady and look the people up before you telling them they are "man–listening". You are just really prejudiced because he's a man. And before you ask, I am a woman myself.

A very wise and thoughtful response, not in the least bit hurtful or offensive. He just wants her to love herself, and he's quite correct. She can be healed. But lost confidence in one's self is much slower to heal.
Go to a dermatologist and get Accutane. I had to go through 2 cycles of it before mine was under control.
Not everybody can take Accutane. It's really bad for your liver, so many people cannot be prescribed it.

I'll tell you from experience Naturopaths cured me. Dermatologists prescribed Creams and Pills. Well worth the time and effort.
I’m with the sitter on this one. She made her request and was denied the request and then was told what to do. Presumptuous at the very least.

If you see previous post of this person you will find he never does any "cosmetic" stuff for people, instead he just tries to encourage them to be who they are and be happy with themselves, personally I find it a refreshing change rather than people being so quick to change how they want to look in a totally fake way.

When it comes to getting offended by James' mischievous edits, the designer believes that “it's now a trend to get offended by almost everything.” Having said that, I am sure he has nothing but good intentions and his fan club of 2 million Instagram followers is proof of that.
