Not smart enough? Nope! How about a lack of contraceptives because the women can't afford them or aren't in an area where they can obtain them? Also, even if they can get them, contraception doesn't always work. Please don't judge.

yup, and there are so many countries without access to period pads or tampons let alone contraceptives, and there are cultures where the woman has absolutely no self determination, including when and how she has sex

let's put aside the ethical ramifications of abortion for a moment - and consider that to not have the choice at all, to have to face the law as a criminal regardless of the circumstances of your pregnancy, to force a victim of rape, or force a woman to bear a child when she is financially, mentally, physically not prepared - is quite simply terrifying. That's what these women are fighting for. Abortion is rarely decided flippantly and its not used as an alternative to birth control as some alarmists would have you believe. And laws can be put in place to prevent very late term abortions (even then it should depend on several things - condition of baby, health of mother and so on). There should be no country in the world that forces a woman, and in disturbingly frequent cases a child, to go through with a pregnancy, and as we all know, there is life changing responsibility for the resulting baby that is born.

thank you. i know it's extremely controversial, and i'm not saying that either side is completely wrong, but it is important to take a moment and try to empathize with these women. like you said, it would be terrifying to go through, and we definitely should not force that upon anybody, or make them feel like horrible people for wanting an abortion.

Too many many view women in the same way a bull views his cows - fertility showcases HIS masculinity, while the rest of it is the cows' problem. Time for a truly HUMAN attitude to prevail.

It was approved at the end of 2020, so from January of 2021 women have had the right to an abortion up until 14 weeks.

Because participating in something like that could get them retaliated against. Women have been fired from jobs, assaulted and even killed for this type of thing.

You shout what an evil abortion is, but after the birth it done doesn't matter if the child is hungry, dirty, unpoor, sick and has no money for education and other things. No one cares anymore, and even less if the child is crippled. Now it's up to the mother to take care of it, right?

This actually shows how religion is forced down the throats of children who do not understand anything of the world just yet. If they choose to wear hijab, this is not the age to do so. They are not women, they are still children!
