I Spent 10 Years Photographing The Romanian Countryside Which Looks Like A Fairy Tale (New Pics)
123Kviews
In the past years, I have taken stunning pictures of the sunrise and the sunset from different corners hidden from circulated roads or modern cities, in the beautiful region called Transylvania situated in Romania.
I chose to use some photography techniques and post-processing to emphasize the feelings and moods I personally felt in these places. In this series, I photographed fortified churches built by Transylvanian Saxons, mountain pastures, beautiful nature, villages where transport is based on ox and cart, portraying the pastoral idyll of Transylvania.
It’s not hard to see why the beautiful landscapes of Transylvania have sparked the imagination of so many writers. As English travel writer Patrick Leigh Fermor wrote in 1934: ‘Transylvania had been a familiar name as long as I could remember. It was the very essence and symbol of remote, leafy, half-mythical strangeness; and, on the spot, it seemed remoter still and more fraught with charms.’ With this quote in my mind, I made a selection of last year's interesting photos, and I hope you will feel the magic from these nature photography shots too.
The hard work of the last 10 years was rewarded with a Sony World Photography Awards 2019 – National Award and the effort to promote my native county worldwide got me the title of “Tourism Ambassador”. Also, if you're interested, you can see my latest landscape photography posts on Bored Panda here and here.

What I see, is of course amazing and unique, I have never seen anything like this !!!
Breathtaking. Any moment, a lilting song will fill the air, and a moment later a wandering minstrel will appear playing a whistle as he joins the morning birdsong.
Do you see the eyes on that cloud? Now that is something. How many faces do you see?
they moved faster than the wind, and we're seeing only the dust left behind

Extraordinarily beautiful photographs. I had no idea that the Romanian countryside was so stunningly gorgeous. I feel like I would just like to walk into your photos and become a part of the landscapes. They felt so alive to me.
We are waiting for you! Anytime!🤗
I'm a neighbor from Bulgaria and i really love Romania; such a beautiful country!
Breathtaking! Beautiful country, beautiful pics - amazing ❤️
As a Romanian, this collection truly makes my heart sing and my eyes water. We have such a beautiful country, not only in Transylvania, but everywhere. Mountains, hills, rivers, muddy volcanoes, thermal springs, and lots and lots of history. Ancient, medieval and modern architecture, castles and churches, good food. Please visit. Thank you for sharing the collection!
Great photos makes me want to live there.
Many, if not most, of these photos look like game screenshots. And I'd love to do the quests here. ♥
Beautiful landscapes, great traditions and many more, trust me, I live there.
An extraordinary slice of heaven on earth!
These beautiful photos make me want to go to Transylvania! In most of the photos, the obvious lack of constantly hearing motorized traffic noise as a backdrop adds another wonderful dimension, as does the absence of a lot of light contamination.
Absolut splendid am trait si eu unele momente vizuale asemanatoare . 😊
Amazing photos!! Congrats!!
It's an art and a masterpiece. I feel like I'm watching a Disney movie.
These are all my desktop wallpaper worthy

That's stunning !
So I know my new destination.. if only the language was a little easier! :) *I've been trying to learn Romanian for a while.. It just doesn't click with me.. Its so like no other language!
My parents taught me Romanian growing up, but as soon as I went to school, I started speaking english more than romanian. Now, It is harder for me to speak it, but I can still speak it well at probably the 3rd or 4th grade level
Romanian is really hard dear, unfortunatelly. The best you can learn is right here, if you succed finding a friend to guide you a little bit. We have allot of conjugations and verbs wich does learning verry difficult. I think this works with every language.
ENG: I am Romanian by inheritance, but before I was born, we moved to America. Ive always wanted to see what it was like there, but its too expensive to go. ROM: Sunt românesc prin moștenire, dar înainte de a mă naște, ne-am mutat în America. Intotdeauna mi-am dorit sa vad cum era acolo, dar este prea scump sa ma duc
too bad it's full of Romanians
Beautiful photos. but why did you guys started posting fake comments on every single picture in your posts? its just annoying and not original in any way. stop doing stuff like this, please!
Ps 10/10 :D
do the saudis have? then them, too. all their money are taken and soon the whole middle east will come to them and they won;t have food even for themselves. as for the pictures they are the work of at more people, at least some with special access. for example, there is only one lavender plantation in whole romania and it appeared 2 years ago - and there it is. plus other angles are only possible from places with forbidden access like private houses of rich people. pure propaganda of the new masters - a mix of communism, fascism and satanism.
In fact there are many more lavender plantation nowadays. :)
got nothing to do with Romania, it's the photographer that "that good"

I was impressed by the pictures and I hope I will make a personal visit soon - the Russian nuclear arsenal (or french or British or Iranian or Chinese or North Korean or Indian or Israeli if you push too much the envelope).
