Hutt Lagoon is a pink lake on the west coast near the town of Gregory. This very small town is located on a narrow spit between the ocean and the pink lagoon.

Hutt Lagoon is considered to be a salt lake with a red or pink hue due to the presence of the carotenoid-producing algae Dunaliella salina, a source of ß-carotene, a food-coloring agent and source of vitamin A. The lagoon contains the world's largest microalgae production plant, a 250-hectare series of artificial ponds used to farm Dunaliella salina.

I dreamed about the pink lake for a long time, and it turned out to be better than in my dreams. Pools with different shades of red, pink, and sometimes yellow and blue. Pink salt on the shore, which glitters like snow - it all looks like abstractionist paintings in reality. Nature and its colors, in this case, did the magic.

When I recall this journey when I went to Western Australia...well it was originally to see the quokka on Rottnest Island. But I saw this amazing lake on the map, and we couldn't help but make a huge detour just to see it. It was the first pink lake I ever saw in my entire life. Well, it was a lot of pink lakes, but you get the idea.

When I think of my favorite picture that I took while being here... only one comes to mind. It may sound too proud on my side, but I can't help but love the photo where I run along the water's edge. This is my all-time favorite self-portrait that I have ever done. (The picture is also the first on the list, in case you are curious!)

You've probably noticed but these pictures are aerial. I took them with the help of a drone that we brought with us and I couldn't be happier with the result!

I photograph a lot of things and if you've ever looked up any of my other posts you can probably tell from the variety. I shoot everything because I'm interested in everything. But if you ask specifically, then I really like to shoot nature and animals. It is very relaxing and inspiring.

All in all, if there's one thing I could advise to people who are starting out in the photography field...well, there's only one thing I can tell you! The best advice for beginners is to practice. Practice, practice, and more practice. Talent is not magic, but the number of hours invested in a skill.

Overall, I'd love to say a big thank you to everyone reading, I adore Bored Panda and all my family too!

I had NO idea this place even existed! This so cool. The colors are wonderful. Thanks for sharing your art with us. ;>) Several of these would make a great series; like 3 or 4 of the 'linear' ones. Love this.
