With Graham Bells’ invention of the telephone in 1876, a new era of frauds began. And since swindlers have always been known for their smarts, phone scams soon began. Over time, these cheats grew to be the multi-million online scams that are active somewhere in Nigeria to this day.
It is not so easy to get scammed online as e-mails usually announce themselves as such, thanks to technology, but what happens when you get a text from an anonymous number? Well, when Imgur user Anthony Schillings received one such phone scammer text there was only one clear answer – play along.
Sent from an unknown number, Schillings received some interesting scamming ‘information’ from an “employee” at the “Exxon Mobile Corporation.” While some might have disregarded the message in fear of being scammed, it was this fraudster’s lucky day. Scroll down below to see how this man found a hilarious way to scamming a scammer and beating him at his own game.
I saw a youtube video in which a scammer contacted a little old lady trying to get her to unlock her computer so he could take it over and strip it of personal info. Only the little old lady (actually a young man) turned out to be an expert hacker that actually gained access to the scammers computer and downloaded all the files before sending a worm to destroy their files and their servers. The last thing you hear on the video is the scammer getting slapped around by his boss.
My mom has gotten several calls about something wrong with her computer. She follows all those their instructions only to tell them several minutes in that she doesn't own a computer. She's 86 yrs, doesn't own a computer and loves to p**s these a******s off!
"Do you see what happens Larry? Do you see what happens when you f**k a stranger in the as*?"
"lucky ducky" "I'll send the fedex man to beat u" This guy is great! He needs a standing ovation!
😂😂😂😂 my dad was rolling in the floor laughing after I showed him this. Those drawing were comedy gold 👌😂😂😂

I used to love the phone calls from the "IRS" or the "MS Windows Techs," back when they weren't robocalls, and I had time on my hands. My favorite was a guy (very heavy Eastern Indian accent) who called me while I was stuck in traffic, I usually don't answer unknown calls, but there was an accident and I wasn't going anywhere for a bit. (This is a shorter version of the event but you will get the gist.) Scammer: "we got your message that you are having issues with your windows." To which I replied "really? My windows seem to be fine. In fact I just had them replaced!" Scammer: NO. Your computer windows. Me: But my computer doesn't sit near a window. S: The windows on your computer! Me: What about the window, and I said, my computer doesn't sit anywhere near a window! S: No. No. No! The windows program! Me: My windows have programs? S: NO! The computer program for your PC! Me: Oh, I have a Mac. Little **** hung up on me. How rude. ;)
Had some fun wasting the time of a so called Microsoft employee a while back. She wanted me to install some kind of malware of course. Let her talk me trough every step, acting like a confused computer newb all the time until I asked her if she could no get on my PC to see if I installed it correctly and she said yes. That was the moment I revealed to het that I was nowhere near a computer at the time, that I was enjoying my time in the park, thanks, told her she was a criminal moron and told her to stick her scam up any uncomfortable orifice of her choice and hung up.
I love f*****g with online scammers who send you checks to cash, then you're supposed to wire them money. I like them to send me checks with fake names. I have ones made out to Tess Tickles, Robyn Banks, Jed I. Knight, Ima Moreon, and many more! I love wasting their time, and I have something funny to show friends.
We have a scam up in Canada where the Revenue agency calls to say you have warrants for your arrest. According to them, I have three outstanding warrants for not calling and sending the CRA money. I am waiting for the RCMP to come arrest me for being delinquent on my taxes. It's a scam from India. I've told them, you know where I live, come get me.
I'm in tears!!! The stick figures are hysterical. Is this FedEx guy for hire? I've got a few people he could deliver a "package" to!!!
I cannot tell you the amount of times I have been called by a scammer just lately. And it's all the same thing. They tell me I have something wrong with my computer and it I let them get into my computer via remote viewing they fix it. In the end I just told them I worked for the police
I was told that my SSN was going to be turned off if I didn't call and get whatever it was fixed and pay a fee...sadly it was all in voicemail so I didn't get to talk to them. Also I LOLd at the Fed Ex guy beating the other dude the illustration made it better!!!
My father got a letter in the mail telling him his social security number is being deactivated(my father is so gullible) luckily he had my mom call social security (then proceed to drive him to the office) for them to tell him it's a scam(after my mother and I both laughed out butts off about it
Load More Replies...why does it end like that? it dismayed me because I need to know if Larry Brown paid him the $400
"I'm going to send the Fed Ex guy to beat you." OMG, SO funny! GOD bless that guy.
I keep getting one about my extended warranty. I bought my car new in 2005. My friend is the warranty clerk for the dealership I bought it from. If there was a warranty, I would know.
I've strung some people along but I usually start to get mad at how dumb their stories are. And that they are dirtbags.
Confess being italian took me google for the address, which I barely recognized at first.
You say that like you're supposed to recognize it :P

I had a scammer texting me on FB about going to a website, logging in with my FB or email account and vote something for him. Apparently, if you end up entering anything, you can kiss ur accounts goodbye. So as a programmer with a good heart, I downloaded and fixed a few codes up to make a little program that sends him millions of made up email accounts and passwords every time I run it. I did have lots of fun running the program every time I have some spare times. Last time I heard, the website he used to phish those info is now gone.
I had a similar Instagram message from Zucks of Facebook https://www.boredpanda.com/scammers-delight/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=Newsletter
Cuss as much as you f*****g want. They sometimes show censored posts but I think that’s because the content was already published elsewhere. I’ve never seen the comments censored.
Load More Replies...I found that once you start messing with the telephone scammers they leave you alone. That's unfortunate I thought I might be making a new friend.
That's not always the case. My kids and I messed with the software scammers so badly, I swear they kept our number on file for training purposes - they called us at least once a month for a while.
Load More Replies...Whats sad is there was more to the story than what he posted, so he decided to make a little money off of it and created a GoFundMe account and was offering people a private message of the rest of the conversation if they donated to his account. He's just as bad as a scammers trying to get money off of people
Whats sad is there was more to this convo so this dude made a GoFundMe and was promising if people donated to him he would send you the rest of the convo in a private message, so he's just as bad trying to make money off of people
My names is liana sofiani I’m a citizen of United Kingdom, My younger sister was diagnosed of breast cancer one year's ago, and her name is Liana Emily I and my family have took her to all kind of hospital in UK still yet no good result. I decided to go to the internet and search for cancer cure so that was how I find a lady called Peter Lizzy she was testifies to the world about the goodness of a herbal man who has the root and herbs to cure all kind of disease and the herbalist website & whatsapp phone number was attached (https://droziegbeherbalhome.wordpress.com/) So I decided to contact the herbalist for my younger sister help, to cure her breast cancer. I contacted him and told him my problem he said to me, I should not worry that my sister cancer will be cured, he told me that there is a medicine he is going to give me and cook for her for 14 days. I thought it was a mere fact but I decided to play along too. I got the herbs from him through FedEx and I follow his instructions.
We’ve had scam phone calls, you know the ones where there’s a problem with your computer. Problem is we’re staying with my 93 yr old father who doesn’t have a computer. In one week we got 8 of these calls!! Each one had no idea that there is no computer here. Phone numbers are sold to many different places so when you prove it’s a scam the next scammer doesn’t know this. One guy even gave me the staff number of a real guy in Sydney who works around the corner from where my husband works. They are using real names and I’d numbers.
This had me laughing for the longest time. I have had scammers contacting me for years. If i am bored i have the greatest time with them
I can even hear the very characteristic voice of James Veitch as I read through this. Check him out on youtube!
Ever since I moved recently I've been getting robocalls on an average of once daily: "Hello dear National Grid customer!" The caller has no accent, but the syntax just sounds so wrong, I don't know how they signed off on it. Interestingly enough, they're offering me a special 'discount,' not the usual threat.
I wish someone from Pakistan would call me. DAMMIT! I just want to have a little fun to.
You need to read the story about Arwen the dog. That will also crack you up
