I have just launched a new graphic design project called TypoSpective. It is a typography art experiment employing limited tools on a mobile phone device.

This project is a collection of daily-used words recreated in minimalist design and expressive forms. It gives words a space to perform and to interact with the audience while avoiding visual distractions and complications. The audience is the main player in this project. Creative perception and mental montage animate the static state of written/drawn words.

TypoSpectives invites the viewer to look at typography from a different perspective and to see new word meanings and representations. To see the words move in its stillness and hear their sounds when it’s mute.

I created this site for myself and for others who want to build on this idea. I aim to push this unique art concept to new boundaries while always keeping away from complicated graphical rendering.
