Fantastic Mr. Fox may have been a work of fiction, but as you can see from these pictures, this man from County Kilkenny, Ireland is most definitely the real thing.
The man is Patsy Gibbons and his two adorable sidekicks are Grainne and Minnie. Gibbons nursed the foxes back to health after they were found abandoned as pups, and although the animals made a full recovery and could have returned to the wild, it seems that they decided to adopt their rescuer instead! Somewhat unsurprisingly, the three of them receive a lot of attention from local children, so much so that schools have invited Grainne and Minnie to come along so students can see them up close.
“I now have people from all over the country and indeed the UK asking me for advice on looking after foxes,” Gibbons told The Irish Examiner. “I’m no expert and I’m still learning from them day-by-day (but) I’m happy to advise as a lay person.” (h/t: designyoutrust, irishexaminer)

Despite what some "expert" pontificated about the other day on the news; dogs love cuddles and clearly foxes do too. Grannie and Minnie clearly love Mr Gibbons as much as he loves them. Really heartening.

The only way to wear fur ( i wonder if they were abandoned by their mother or she got killed and had to leave them); and they are such an omen that their lives along with their rescuer (even if they stayed on rather than go back into the wild) are intertwined with compassion..... unlike all these dumb wits who harm foxes or wear them in the shite name of fashion - good on you Patsy :-)
My neighbor owns a baby fox, it's one of those fennec foxes it's so cute
It is lovely to see such kindness, these little foxes obviously love their life now.
Moral, if you rescue a Fox, he's yours. Forever and ever and ever. Stuck like glue, cause baby, he's stuck on you.
If you have an animal near a road like is shown there, you simply MUST have them on a secure lead for their own protection and for the safety of drivers. Odd thing to comment on!
