Some people, like myself, actually sit down and think about whether they should or should not have kids, rather than just having kids because that's apparently what you're supposed to do. I chose not to have kids because: 1: I am not father material, and I would be scared that I cannot in fact raise a child to be a better person than I am (spoiler alert: I'm kind of not) 2: There's already EIGHT BILLION of us!! Do we REALLY need more people!? Maybe a birthrate decline is not actually such a bad thing?

The cost of one child in America starts at $272,000 dollars upfront. The cost of childcare and K-12 education is ridiculous. The high rate of dead beat fathers in America. If I do have kids they will be judged by his or her skin color for the rest of their lives and have less opportunities and be seen as unequal because they are Black. The shortage of baby formula and how current moms are being shamed and judged for not breastfeeding in the first place, but the mothers who do breastfeed are harrassed and demonized for it especially in the work place by employers and collegues for having to pump every 3 hrs so their baby doesn't starve. Also no paid maternity leave to recover post pregnancy or free help to combat postpartum depression. Doctors don't listen to women during pregnancy or labor/delivery. Lastly the reverse of Roe V Wade unfortunately underway.

I like children ... I love when they visit, when I'm, although mostly unrelated, the weird uncle who allows them sooo bad things, like drinking Cola or eating a second bowl of icecream. I also love when they leave and I don't have to care anymore that a Playboy magazine might lie around somewhere, or any other child-inappropriate things ... Children who aren't the own ones are the best I have ever known.

When I turn 27, I will have had psoriasis for just under 27 years, childhood brain cancer for a little over 17 years, and epilepsy for about 10 years. And I will likely still be having routine MRIs and taking anti-seizure medicines. And in spite of these, I will have been a martial artist for more than 19 years.
There was a guy on Court Cam in Miami who had 31 kids and pays NO child support, but brags about all his baby mommas. He wasn't even there for that, but the judge warned him not to get any more girls pregnant. Cue another episode of Court Cam. Same judge. Before she could even get the question out he bragged the he had 11 more baby mommas pregnant. This is one case where he needs to have a vasectomy whether he wants it or not.
