All these debate chodes like kirk cherry pick statistics, present them disingenuously, then sell bumper stickers to mouth breathers.
FOX News got a couple images of people behaving badly and decided to go all in, playing those clips non-stop, wall to wall coverage of the same thing they've shown a million times. They even played clips from places not in the USA, claiming it was happening here. Imagine if that's the only place you watch news. I guess you'd believe it. That's the entire problem. So many people use a singular (bad) source for all their information.
They basically played a clip of scary, violent rioters on a nonstop loop. The trouble was that the clip was 15 years old, and shot in Paris.

Fires were set in my city but the fire department put them out in no time. If anything places of business were boarded and had metal barricades from the ground up to prevent further damage. A year later things looked more so empty, not burned. The pandemic made it hard for businesses to recover from damages. Some businesses weren't hit but still closed and sold the property because of lost revenue during the pandemic.
That would require dismantling the 9/11 memorial and Freedom tower built on the site.
