With so many celebrity scandals happening, most of them don't stay in the spotlight for more than a few days until the next one comes along. And as it turns out, some of us can't live without all that drama. To indulge in this emotional rollercoaster of celebrities constantly messing up big time, twitter user @Hunty_dumpty_ came up with a thread idea. They asked people, "What's your favorite forgotten celebrity controversy?" and the thread was quickly filled with some of the juiciest controversies that glued many of us to the screen at the time they went public. Want to refresh your memory? Scroll down below and share the ones they missed in the comments!

LOL, Freddie is the best! "Simon Ferocious" sounds like a name for a pet ferret :)
I mean, it's just weed and nudity. Also, it sounds like something he'd do, so I feel like it just kind of "made sense" for him, so it didn't stand out?
Money doesn't buy class but it can buy donuts. Ariana may have money but without class and donuts she is utterly worthless.
Last I checked, she just converted to Islam. Bashing one sect in favour of another is not my idea of being a free-thinker !
She's mentally ill now. THEN, she was protesting the vast cover-up of child sexual abuse perpetrated by the Catholic Church. That's not bashing, it's the truth.
Load More Replies...I was going to say "Hell yeah", but she's uh... she's problematic sometimes. Not exactly as great as the many, many atheists who call out the Catholic church (and other institutions) on this b******t all the time, including people like Tim Minchin who literally has a song that is all about saying "F**k the Pope" and yet it's still poignant and clever.
What many people don't realise that in Ireland especially from the 1960s and further back in time, the local parish priest was revered as sacred. NOBODY went against him and he could do as he pleased and what he said was law. Even the Gardi (the Irish police) were not above him in the eyes of the locals as the Gardi only upheld the law of the land, The priests were upholding the word of God. They could do as they pleased and many of them did and they did it to children. Many children especially boys and especially boys who lived in the bording schools run by the Christian brothers. These men sexually abused raped and beat up little boys on a daily basis. If they were brought to task over it they were invariably excused, lightly admonished or, typically, moved to other institutions where they were free to continue abusing children for decades. It was only decades later when the children grew up and saught justice that anyone else got to know about it as up until then it was all kept quiet.
Look she is a crazy person, but she wasn't exactly wrong here either.
When that happened, I didn't know why she did it, so I had no opinion on her action. Opinion not based on facts is worthless. I didn't know until I read this post (then googled it) WHY she had done it. I had guessed it had to do with the religious fighting in Ireland, but since I didn't know, I had no opinion. Anyone who bashed her at the time without knowing WHY she did it (whether she were right or wrong) did the world a disservice. So sick of self-righteous, non-thinking people who bleat opinions without knowing what's going on.
Last I checked the Catholic church doesn't have much good press going for them
I bet it wasn't Pope Francis even if he turned around all the orders Benedict XVI had give to end the problem. Public opinion and the law twisted his hand (at least publicly) on that.
She was cool back then, now she is a sad shell of her former self.
I hear she tried to commit suicide. Does that equate to being "totally off the rails"? Or is there something else going on with her other than being in mental agony?
Unfortunately it turned out to be true. The church abuses children across the globe and nobody wants to do anything about it. The church is involved in human trafficking and nobody wants to do anything about. "We have our hands in everything. We're the Catholic Church."
And then she goes and convert into Islam... *insert epic facepalm here*
Didn't even know about this. Now that's when a joke went too far and became stupid. Expected more from her..
Was it scandalous? I thought it was more like "hilarious incompetence".
What bothers me with this one is that no one ever mentiones that "married man", like it was all her fault. She was very young, almost a child, and thou in relationship, she wasn't married (no one ever believed that her relationship was real anyway), but no one ever blames married man who was clearly adult, and I feel iike woman has to take all the blame in these cases no matter what.
I think that was forgotten because so few people care about that kind of personal relationship drama.
Well, clearly it's because we only know the guy as "High School Musical cello guy". I have no idea who he is!
they made up so might as well forget it, real problems are happening that aren't this petty bs
Amanda has great talent. I hope that she is able to use her creativity in life, as she properly manages her mental health.

The other one that stands out to me is Sean Connery stating quite openly and casually that women need a good slapping once in a while, because they just get over emotional and it needs to be done. Can't stand the man after reading that.
How weird that celebrities are fallible as us. It's almost like they are humans. I red an article once that explained that celebrities are celebrated as semi god because humanity is used to have them for millenia. Think as Britney Spears (im not up-to-date) as aphrodite. Peoples looae their s**t when she shaved her hair. She had to do public excuses for that. Every time I come here i feel that this theory is quite on the nose. Peoples need to worship champions and they dont like being disappointed by them.
It's human nature I guess. To look for alphas, role models, whether we do it consciously or subconsciously. But something twisted over the last century for celebrities. We used to worship them from afar, and now they have to live in compounds for their own safety, get papped, and can't even get married without helicopters and zoom lenses.
Load More Replies...What about the Hoff eating his burger drunk as a skunk. And I seem to remember a celebrity left really mean voicemails on his daughters phone but I can't remember who that was XD
Alec Baldwin - I think he called her an ungrateful little pig. Nice.
Load More Replies...I'm both glad and kinda embarrassed for not knowing many of the names in this list...
Some persons are worth remembering, some persons are world famous locally and some persons should be forgotten and never mentioned again.
Load More Replies...Milli Vanilli It was confirmed that they never sang on their own records.
How about Tom Selleck stealing truckfuls of water from a hydrant during the water shortage?
Mark Wahlberg but that was before we was famous- chased the black children down the street, hurling rocks and racial epithets, including “Kill the n-----s!”-during a field trip in Boston in 1986 and attack in 1988. But that was long time ago- just disappointed I ever learnt he did it.
My favourite one is when Ross said "I take thee Rachel" rather than Emily :)
I know it's not relevant to the article specifically, but could Bored Panda PLEASE bring back the function in the notifications where they link you directly to the comment they are talking about? I'm not going to go searching for the comment I got a response on somewhere in like 50 sections.
Cheryl cole (then tweedy) racially attacking a black toilet attendant in a nightclub in Guildford (can't remember what it was called at the time. it was called Harpers when I was a teenager) and the media treat her like the nations sweetheart. I will always remember her as scrapping in nightclub toilets
The main difference (aside from the riches) between celebrities and non-celebrities is their overexposure. We can all be susceptible to their behavior but almost everything they do becomes public knowledge. If you worship any human or expect them to be perfect, you're in for a disappointment. Animals on the other hand...
Thank GOD no one mentioned Melanie Martinez. Timothy Heller is a compulsive liar.
Milli Vanilli confallegations that they never sang on their own records.
This article sucked. People make mistakes and they make amends. Don't drag up old c**p. Unnecessary.
