Recently Alabama enacted the country's most restrictive abortions law. The news sent shock waves not only through the USA but also the whole world. Many people called it a step backward for women's rights, as it criminalizes performing abortions at any point during pregnancy with a single exception for when 'abortion is necessary in order to prevent a serious health risk.' Doctors who perform abortions now can face up to 99 years in prison in the state.
While the governor Kay Ivey who signed the Alabama Human Life Protection Act says the Alabamian's believe that every life is precious & that every life is a sacred gift from God, many people disagree. Here is the list of responses clapping back at controversial abortion ban.

I know I will get trolled to f**k but I dont care, Americans love to criticize country's like Iran because of the links between religion and Government but as a non American to me it seems America is just as bad, you just have a different religion. No country should link the laws of the land with a religious ideology, everybody should have the right to their religion but also the right to NOT have a religion.
I’m Iranian American and my opinion is that both countries are bad in different ways. Islam and Christianity are two different brands of garbage and they both impact government in bad ways. In some ways, Islam did help Iran get out from under the imperialist boot of the western world. That’s all it has been good for. Americans have a couple of social freedoms that Iranians do not have and probably won’t get for a long time. Interestingly, birth control is free in Iran to all women. Abortion is illegal there too though and you can go to jail for it, but not for life. In Iran the debate is more about population growth / control than the needs of women. It’s s****y in both places. I definitely wouldn’t want to live there now as a woman in her child bearing years.

I was one of these children, pro-life-idiots wanted to be born. My mom was not allowed to abort me, even if she was too young and got pregnant the first time she was intime with my father. One or the (many) ironies of this law is that it actually violates the *religious* freedoms of those who are Orthodox believers of other faiths. In Judaism, it is the LAW, that the mental and physical health of the mother always takes precedence over the life of an unborn child. This is a Rabbinic decision in each case as much as it is a medical one. . . And a familial one.

This doesn't solve anything. More women will turn to back alley abortions instead and put their own lives in danger for the sake of not being forced to carry a child they don't want. Men and women who don't want abortions should stop trying to tell other people who do want them that they can't get them. If you don't want an abortion, don't get one, but don't tell everyone else what they can and can't do with their bodies. My body, my rights to do whatever I want with it. As long as that statement is true (and it always will be), women will get abortions.
You don’t need back alley abortions in America now that we have the Internet. You can order anything online now. Anyone with twenty bucks can buy some abortion pills. The law is disgusting but don’t let them make you feel helpless. Google and a little cash fix almost any problem.

The USA prides itself on being the "Land of the free" where freedom is paramount, but hates on people who are libral- that is someone who respects and demands the right to personal freedom, so do you want to be free but only with defined limits set by the state government? Who seem to disregard the constitution when it comes to complete separation of religion and state? Honestly, as an outsider I am so confused. How do you define freedom without liberals/ liberty?
There’s a line in The Handmaid’s Tale in which Aunt Lydia says that there is “freedom to and freedom from.” Liberals seems to embrace “freedom to” live their lives, marry whom they want, etc, while the Alabama politicians and their ilk embrace “freedom from” uppity women, immigrants, etc. I don’t agree with them, but it’s the best way I can explain it. Also, they’re hypocrites and ghouls.

Load More Replies... One or the (many) ironies of this law is that it actually violates the *religious* freedoms of those who are Orthodox believers of other faiths. In Judaism, it is the LAW, that the mental and physical health of the mother always takes precedence over the life of an unborn child. This is a Rabbinic decision in each case as much as it is a medical one. . . And a familial one.
It makes me so disheartened to think that people believe that this abortion law is wrong. Why do people believe that killing a new life in a mother's womb is not murder?I do pray for a day that people will see the beautiful truth..... I want to call out to all African American men in the state of Alabama to woo and knock up then leave all the daughters of the men who made this law, let's see how much of a "gift" it is to these racist sexist old men when they are helping take raise of a slew of mixed race grandchildren with no father figures.
The pro-choice movement really needs to start promoting, as much as possible, the recognition of anti-abortion laws as pro-slavery morality. Because that is what they are.
