Recently Alabama enacted the country's most restrictive abortions law. The news sent shock waves not only through the USA but also the whole world. Many people called it a step backward for women's rights, as it criminalizes performing abortions at any point during pregnancy with a single exception for when 'abortion is necessary in order to prevent a serious health risk.' Doctors who perform abortions now can face up to 99 years in prison in the state.
While the governor Kay Ivey who signed the Alabama Human Life Protection Act says the Alabamian's believe that every life is precious & that every life is a sacred gift from God, many people disagree. Here is the list of responses clapping back at controversial abortion ban.

I know I will get trolled to f**k but I dont care, Americans love to criticize country's like Iran because of the links between religion and Government but as a non American to me it seems America is just as bad, you just have a different religion. No country should link the laws of the land with a religious ideology, everybody should have the right to their religion but also the right to NOT have a religion.

I’m Iranian American and my opinion is that both countries are bad in different ways. Islam and Christianity are two different brands of garbage and they both impact government in bad ways. In some ways, Islam did help Iran get out from under the imperialist boot of the western world. That’s all it has been good for. Americans have a couple of social freedoms that Iranians do not have and probably won’t get for a long time. Interestingly, birth control is free in Iran to all women. Abortion is illegal there too though and you can go to jail for it, but not for life. In Iran the debate is more about population growth / control than the needs of women. It’s s****y in both places. I definitely wouldn’t want to live there now as a woman in her child bearing years.

I haven't prayed in years. Last night when I saw this, I prayed. I prayed to whoever was out there to make your life as horrible and torturous as the poor women's whom you have condemned to suffer. You deserve nothing.

I was one of these children, pro-life-idiots wanted to be born. My mom was not allowed to abort me, even if she was too young and got pregnant the first time she was intime with my father. The "grown ups" even forced the young couple into marriage. They made a family of two teens, expecting an unwanted child, yay. It was gods will, so ...everything should be ok, right? Let me tell you something as an insider: I don't know, how it feels to be truly loved by a mom and dad. I DO know how it feels, when your parents think of you as the biggest mistake of their life. And I know that it chances you forever! I do know how it feels to be hungry for days, because teen-families are often poor. I do know how abuse feels in many ways. I learned that, if somebody is not ready for a child, there is no option, this person will grow with the tasks. It will be somehow not good for both: mother and child. Stop telling woman what to do with their bodies! You may be forcing someone into a horror-live.

The government needs to keep out of woman’s bodies ... not your decision what we do....

Nobody calls rape a gift, no decent, reasonable human being, christian or otherwise would agree with that. Christians are calling an innocent BABY a gift.

this is so perfect. She deserves every horrible thing that happens to her and I hope they are plentiful for the rest of her old nasty life.

yes this is exactly why people are opposed to banning abortion! do they know how hard it is for women who have faced that to have to raise the child?

FEW call rape anything but violent and evil. Church and State are not "to be separate". Please READ the Constitution. The State shall not PROMOTE one church over another nor over people; please understand that "church" and "religion" are not the same. Religion was in Government from the beginning of the US. Please READ our history. Being Pro-Choose-To-Kill-Babies denies the baby any choice in the matter. And, Rape Abortions are the MINORITY FRINGE CASE. We've killed 60 million babies since RoeVWade. Few were for medical necessity or to address rape. MOST were for irresponsibility and callous malice of a woman towards her own babies.

You do know that no one is killing babies right? People are killing zygotes and fetuses, not babies. I'm sure you're one of those guys who doesn't know anything about female anatomy

Why is every argument for Pro-abortion about rape?? Very rarely is rape the reason for killing the baby inside of you.

22 "men" desperately clinging to the last vestiges of the patriarchy by enforcing their little remaining power to control women....probably because they are exceptionally insecure....and have tiny winkies.

This sounds like something from a horrifyingly grim Dystopian novel, not actual real life, it's insane that this is actually true in Alabama

It's not and anyone who thinks it is doesn't understand the concept of who God is and what he does. He gave us free will. With that free will we can act on evil which is NOT what God wants. God wants us to choose to do good and raping a defenseless woman is not Godly at all. That rape baby is a product of sin and is likely doomed to be cursed.

No laws should be made from a religious perspective, absolutely none of them, religion and religious beliefs have absolutely no place in making and upholding laws

That's true. She is basing her decision on her beliefs and as this is a free country where we are all allowed to believe whatever we want, we should not be made to be ruled by the beliefs of only some.
