President Donald is one of the most famous Twitter climate change deniers - and despite being publicly shut down by science - him and his fellow deniers don't seem to be going anywhere. Yes, even with the Midwestern U.S facing extreme temperature lows from a polar vortex, people out they still don't seem convinced that this extreme weather has any scientific rhyme or reason.
The polar vortex is a band of strong winds, high up in the atmosphere that keeps bitterly cold air locked around the Arctic region. And people in the Midwest have been forced to stay indoors due to the freezing temperatures. Well, you can't always change people's minds on the internet, but that didn't stop the following people from serving up these chilly clapbacks to climate change deniers. Two of the worst offending businesses that contribute to global warming is oil/gasoline producers and coal production. With the rise in use of electric cars and the reliance on coal decreasing..we are making moves in the right direction. But the worst offender in pollution is China. Not surprising since it seems the majority of products that are available in this world come from China.

Not sure if people are aware of this, but mild changes in temperature..even warming by a few degrees, destroys mountains of species. Right now the sturgeon population is dying because lake and river water temperatures are at an all time high. Polar bears are dying because the warmer weather is melting snow they rely on to stealthy approach and kill prey...it also melts the snow faster shortening their hunting season. Coral reefs..homes for thousands of aquatic species, are dying at an alarming rate take that aquatic life with it. We need to do something now. This isn't just some natural event. It's man made and, as we are the cause, we have the power to stop it.

I do not understand these deniers... even with a 5 year old’s grasp of science (which the majority of these people barely have) one cannot deny that it is within our ability to affect our climate in a disastrous way (which we are doing). So even if we have yet to negatively impact our climate (news flash: we have), why take the chance by continuing to pump tons of carbon in the atmosphere; who runs the country, the people or corporations?
Generally, people have their minds made up already and nothing anyone can say will change that. In fact, the harder you try to convince people that they're wrong the harder they'll cling to their beliefs. It has nothing to do with logic; it's strictly emotional. People are afraid to change their minds; that might mean admitting they were wrong, and it takes an open mind and courageous personality to do that. It's just so easy to remain blinded that it's pull is as strong as that of an addictive substance. Why should they make any effort to change their behavior? My grandparents have always talked about that in the 50s there was always 1 meter of snow already in october and now its mostly January that gets the good snow. Lets not forget the summer we had in Europe. My part of Norway didn't even get a weeks worth of rain and we usally drown every summer.

Are we going to ignore that Trump said "Global Warming" not "Climate Change"? Anyone who has an interest in either subject knows those are 2 very different things. I think everyone can agree that climate change is real, but Global Warming has yet to have any substantial evidence mainly because temperature records do not go back far enough for us to have empirical data to back anything. So when we take a tweet about one subject and spin it onto another subject, nothing productive comes from it no matter what side you are on or what opinion you have. Personally, I believe, after studying this for 30 years, that Mankind does play a roll, but, it is low, and a lot of it comes from land use and UHI. Regardless, for those who say mankind is mostly/solely responsible, I'll ask you "what have you done in your life to become carbon neutral? Have you given up your own use of fossil fuels? Moved to a tiny home? Turned your heat to 60 and AC to 85? And so forth?" The tilting polar vortex is due to warming oceans, which are also adding more moisture to the air and thus making winter storms more intense. And so on.
They are 2 different terms with vastly different meanings. Climate change is real and will always happen with or without human interference. Global warming cannot be proven either way due to lack of data being gathered in multiple ice age to green age cycles. We are in an interglacial stage and thats the only stage that can support human life. So from our limited perspective it looks like global warming, but since we do not have the data from more than 250 years, we cant accurately measure JACK S**T.
