what if people can't look after a child? if they have no 'legitimate' reason but don't believe they could look after a child because they aren't ready, they have a right to abort. An adult has aroun a trillion cells. An embryo is in the thousands (or millions depending on developmental stage) they are nothing balls of cells that can make or break someone's life. Every abortion is necessary. Not wanting children is not stupid, and if my mother had needed an abortion, I would have wanted her to get one. Embryos do not have human emotions they have not been born, but the person that is pregnant can certainly feel emotions. I think we should prioritise the humans that have actually been born and actually have a life.

Exactly! At the end of the day, it should be no ones business. It is necessary if me and my doctor deem it so, not by OTHERS' beliefs and views. Bringing an unwanted child into the world is not a blessing. For instance, people assumed that my friend got an abortion because she wasn't able to take care/afford another baby. No. Wrong. She got an abortion because the fetus was incompatible with life. At the end of the day though, people assume, jump to conclusions and judge people when they have no idea of the circumstance. As if a grand majority of people use abortions as their first form of birth control or something.

@WaxOnWaxOff, well, we did get a few who came in as corpses when I was working the ER during Covid, and they were unvax'd... Their families came in sick, tho', also unvax'd. I can say with certainty that I've yet to meet an anti-vaxxer who won't run to an ER when they feel bad, then tell us how vaccines are evil. ---- signed. an MD.

Here’s my source: I grew up lower middle class in South Carolina amongst the willfully uneducated who then all voted for Trump. Of the half dozen I know of who contracted Covid from being unvaccinated which lead to required medical attention, 100% went to the hospital and received medical treatment. We’re Talking weeks-long medical induced comas, one is still in there right now. Every last person I have known who refused the vaccine and required medical attention went to the hospital for it. I’m sure there are some people who have not - none that I know of or have heard of, but since im giving the margin that there might be a few that didn’t, I said “nearly”. Therefore in my experience - and i’m willing to bet in yours as well - every last unvaccinated person went to the hospital. So unless you have a statistic that proves that most people who required medical care from complications from not being vaccinated did NOT go to the hospital, have a seat.

I personally am unvaccinated for medical reasons, as is someone I live with. Another person I live with was too young to be vaccinated. My boyfriend, who lives here as well, was fully vaccinated. All of us caught Covid, and the most ill of us was my boyfriend. I am fully pro-science. I am heavily pro-all vaccines. Your “source” is your own experience, as is mine. I am extremely happy that myself and my family didn’t require a hospital stay for COVID. I guess my point, and what sticks with me most from your response, is that both of us are citing anecdotal evidence. Additionally, asking for an actual source doesn’t equate to being rude, but seemingly according to you, it does.

The additional irritating thing for me here is that, despite having a valid reason to be unvaccinated, i shouldn’t have to feel like I have to defend myself. I shouldn’t have to feel like I’m being attacked simply for asking you a question. I shouldn’t have to disclose things about my personal medical information for you to even MAYBE view what I’m saying as credible. It sounds like it’s been hard for you throughout the pandemic, and I’m sorry for that — but I didn’t cause it and I didn’t do anything to you. One crumb of food for thought: don’t bite someone’s head off for asking questions about what you’ve said (particularly when you’re using very specific language to describe things) and maybe consider that other people have to deal with things in their lives, too, not just you. This is the nicest response about that you’ll probably ever hear, and frankly, you don’t deserve it based on how you’ve responded to me.

Clearly this was not meant to be a statistically sound statement (as evidenced by the word "nearly"). She was saying that sick people in fear of dying go to the hospital for treatment, which we can consider to be generally true as that's the main purpose of hospitals.

However I can happily provide you with a list of the millions of people who have actually died from Covid19. There's no such thing as an "unnecessary" vaccine. How do you not understand that? I know Kindergarteners who completely grasp the concept - it's not that hard. And also, in case you were wondering, pregnancy isn't contagious. You don't risk the lives of hundreds of other human beings by walking around in public pregnant. But an unvaccinated/unmasked idiot has the potential to affect a large population of people by spreading a HIGHLY CONTAGIOUS virus that you can catch by simply breathing. Are you saying that one fetus (which is NOT A BABY) is more important than helping to end a global pandemic? If so, you might want to examine your logic - because it's severely faulty. And it makes you a shitty person.
