Movie Theater Employee Gives Regular Coke Instead Of Diet, And Here’s How Internet Responds

Food allergies are no joke, and for some the wrong ingredient can literally mean the difference between life and death. Despite this however, certain people in the service industry seem to take great pleasure in giving customers precisely what they DON’T want.

This was recently highlighted by an Imgur user named Amrikia, who posted about somebody boasting about having deliberately served people regular coke instead of the diet coke they’d asked for. In response to this, other people then came forward with their own stories, from people with Celiac disease being purposely served food containing gluten, to people with stomach ulcers being deliberately given whole milk in their latte instead of the soy they’d asked for. It seems that some spiteful people just want to make other people’s lives difficult, but perhaps they should think about what they’re doing, as what might seem like a harmless prank could actually have very serious repercussions.

Sick or not sick, it's a choice you have to respect. Why is that concept so hard to grasp?

Because "I know better than you". Sure, roll your eyes, bitch to your friends about how a customer who orders 16 large pizza and a diet coke because "cutting out sugar makes you lose fat"... or whatever makes your day. However; you are paid to help people with their food orders, not force your lifestyle onto others.

Just don't risk it everyone. Just give the person what he/she ordered. It's not worth getting into a lawsuit or worse killing someone just to try to prove a point.

I don't understand why this is such a difficult concept to grasp. "No milk, please." = This person possibly has an allergy to milk. No milk. You could potentially kill someone with your petty behaviour.

On the bright side, It does expand the food choices for people with these illnesses.
