Tony Hawk. Where do we even begin? This American skateboarder, actor, and owner of the company Birdhouse has become probably one of the most recognizable symbols of the ’90s. But times change and not everyone today knows who he is. Tony, however, doesn’t feel threatened by this fact. On the contrary, he’s quite fond of it. Just check out at the ways he tweets some of the situations where people have no idea who talking to!

In his career, Tony won more than 70 skateboarding contests, and also has a successful line of video games and skateboarding videos. But one of the things he’s most proud of is the Tony Hawk Foundation, through which he provides grants and technical assistance for new parks, especially in low-income areas.

His ability to perform impressive stunts has shined throughout Tony’s career, and one of its most memorable moments happened in 1999 when Hawk became the first skater to land a “900.” After completing the two-and-a-half mid-air revolutions on a skateboard during his twelfth attempt of the session, Hawk commented, “This is the best day of my life.”
People had a lot to say about these funny encounters:
Must get so old and tedious for him. I don't know how famous people deal with that constantly
There's a British comedian, Tony Hawks, who gets some of Tony Hawk's email traffic by mistake. He features it here: http://www.tony-hawks.com/skateboarding/
i did not find Mr. Hawks' responses witty- unless he followed them up with an explanation they got the wrong guy. Seems intentionally cruel to those in error. If they both had a good laugh after, then fine- but if not, all he did was make the real TH look bad to his fans-
Load More Replies...My favourite is when a girl asked him if he's Tony Hawk and when he said "yes", she asked why.. <3
Tony Hawk and Rodney Mullen will ALWAYS be the skate gods of my lifetime!!! You go, Tony!!!
OMG!! I'm dying Laughing!!! I don't know which cracked me up more~ The rental agent that deleted him or the girl that confused him with Shaun White. Will Ferrell brought me to Twitter. Tony Hawk may just bring me back hahahahaaaaa.
I'm not sure what's more annoying: being super-famous & everyone knows who you are & can follow the procession of paparazzi or being just famous enough to be familiar, but people aren't sure if you're actually a celebrity? At least Tony Hawk has a sense of humour about it. You go, Tony...just be you cuz, I mean...who else you gonna be?
He should make a video game out of this! Tony Hawk’s Are You Tony Hawk?
I would carry around business cards and hand them out. They'd say "Yes I'm Tony Hawk. Yes I still skate. No I will not do any tricks for you here." And so on and so forth.
Don't know the guy but he seems to be an ok skater or something.
This should really be titled: Tony Hawk comes in contact with the biggest idiots on Earth. The only one that is redeemable is the flight attendant. Otherwise all these people are utter trash.
Holy c**p! It's that dude who was in an episode of The Simpsons once! I forget his name. Blink-182 were also in it, before Tom quit. Twice.
