Our Dorm Building Only Has One Facilities Person To Clean, She Works So Hard Yet The People On My Floor Are Still Disgusting. I Can't Blame Her For Leaving This Note
According to the website PsychMechanics, there are some basics about the psychology of selfishness that we all should know:
A selfish person is the one who puts his own needs first. He's primarily concerned with himself and seeks out only those activities that fulfill his own desires and wants. Anything wrong with that? I don’t think so.
Going by that definition, we're all selfish in one way or the other. All of us want to do things that are ultimately for our own good and well-being. This type of selfishness is good and desirable.
So far so good. The problem arises when we do things for ourselves and at the same time ignore the needs of those around us or when we fulfill our needs at the expense of others. When you make life difficult for others to meet your own ends, then that kind of selfishness is the selfishness that you’d like to avoid.

They shouldn't be allowed to leave without paying the damage. It is obvious they broke many things. It's the same as eating food from aisles in supermarket, you can't damage it, make it useless then leave.
This Lady Kneeling On Bread While She Looks At Other Bread
There are several reasons that could make someone selfish...
A person who holds on to his resources and doesn't give it to the needy can be considered a selfish person and this is the type of selfishness that we commonly refer to when we say that someone is selfish.
When we say that someone is selfish, we usually mean that he doesn't share his resources (money, time, etc.). Now, why won’t a person share his resources, even if it's the best thing to do in a given situation?
The biggest reason is that he thinks he doesn't have enough. A selfish person, therefore, is also likely to be stingy. This insecurity of not having enough motivates a person to hold on to his resources and not share them.

He/She Saw Nothing Wrong With Parking There
People who do this deserve to get their car damaged by the air ambulance crew and their streacher. It's probably the only way they'll learn.
Another reason is a fear of losing control. If someone has many needs and goals, then he overvalues his resources because he thinks that these resources are going to help him reach his goals. If he loses his resources, he loses his goals and if he loses his goals he feels he has lost control over his life.
For example, a student who doesn't share his study notes with others is the one who has high academic goals and sharing notes could mean losing an important resource that could help him reach his goal. And not being able to reach your goals is a perfect recipe for a feeling of loss of control over your life.
In other cases, the way a person was raised can also make him act in selfish ways. The only child or the child whose every demand was met by his parents (spoilt child) learns to take as much as he can and give very little back.
Such children learn to care only for their needs with little empathy or consideration for others. As children, we were all like that to some extent but gradually we began to learn that other people have emotions too and so developed empathy.
Some people never learn empathy and therefore remain selfish, just like when they were kids.
Urgh...
Was Told To Post This Here. Woman Stomped All Over The Plants In This Conservatory For Instagram Shots Despite Staff Repeatedly Asking Her To Stop
The most important thing to do when dealing with a selfish reason is to figure out the reason for his selfishness and then work on eliminating that reason.
All other methods and efforts of dealing with him are going to be in vain. Ask yourselves questions like...Why is he being selfish? What is he feeling so insecure about? Are you making unrealistic demands of him? Is he really in a position to meet your demands?
We are often too quick to label someone ‘selfish’ instead of admitting that we failed to persuade them or that our demands are unreasonable.
But what if they are really being selfish and you're not just falsely labeling them?
Well then, help them get rid of their insecurity. Show them that they're not going to lose anything by giving you what you want. Or better yet, show them how they may benefit by helping you if there's a possibility of a win-win situation.

When I was heavily pregnant, I had tot ride a really busy bus. Just one seat was free so I went to sit there. The whole bus was full of students. One stop later a old lady with a walking cane came in. No one stood up for her. So I did. That made me so angry. A whole bus full of healthy young people and the only one who is getting up and have to stand is a 7 month pregnant women.

Last week I stood with my little son in a long, long line to buy an ice cream. I myself am obviously very pregnant and we stood there already for 15 minutes in the heat when a woman did just that. I walked around her with my son while my huge baby bump touched her and explained to my little boy loud and clear that you did not behave that way in lines, like this young woman did.

I Sat Through 2 Sets Of Green Lights Like This
In California, blocking an intersection like that will get you a ticket. Unfortunately, it's not considered a moving violation, so no points on your record.
I'm not sure if it's in the road law in NZ, but "don't enter an intersection unless the exit is clear" is basic driving knowledge.
Load More Replies...Sit there and lean on your horn without stopping until the idiots get out of the way.
Omg this happens every day in Tampa. There are at least a dozen intersections just in a 5 mile radius around my house that are blocked every morning and every evening (during rush hour)
This burns my a*s, I cuss like a sailor when ppl do this, while flipping them off if they look over. It’s against the f*cking law on top of it.
Just stupidly selfish! What kind of 'person' figures that they are entitled to get where they are going before anyone else?
That behavior is illegal in Australia yet butt heads still do this at intersections.
All the time! It shits me to tears. Is it so hard really just not to enter an intersection without being able to clear it? WTF?!
Load More Replies...This happens in London all the time, I sometimes get the urge to kick the c**p out of the drivers who do this.
I had this happen to me once, after the 2nd light I missed, I pulled out and right up to the person's door that was blocking the intersection, needless to say her eyeballs almost popped our of her head, but I got my point across.
One of my friends started to complain about getting fined for blocking an intersection on two separate occasions. I stopped him and asked why he was unable to realize that he wouldn't clear the intersection. He knew he wouldn't. So I said he deserved the ticket. He then told me how in New York City it's impossible to drive downtown in rush hour without doing it, so that's where he picked the habit up. He then realized that it wasn't a good reason for doing it in other places with less jerks doing the same thing.
Are these all the parents that have children too proud to ride the bus?
So inconsiderate...you know you're not going to make the light, just wait! What if an ambulance had to get through?
When doing so, it get delays even more. Hard to fathom why some people do not get it.
These are the same people who will stop on railroad tracks, and sue the railroad company because the train hit them.
it's considered a moving violation in Canada as well , but we usually leave the intersection open..
They must have missed the section in their driving exam where it clearly states to not block an intersection in case ambulances, etc, need to get through quickly.
Despite big signs that say “DO NOT BLOCK INTERSECTION” they STILL DO!!!! Total disregard for others.
As a pedestrian I have to deal with this as well. Pisses me off to no end. I will walk around a car and wag my finger at them. I swear it's time for there to to be auto barriers put up at lights that go up automatically when the light changes so drivers like this will be forced to obey what a RED LIGHT actually means. If I were a street cop I'd be out in the middle of the road taking pictures of license plates and sending everyone of those a*s holes 500 dollar tickets with no way to contest them in court!
That a big ticket where I am, call the cops, complain enough & they'll stick an officer there to hand out tickets like they're candy...
I pull up to the car that is blocking and lay on the horn. They look over at me but i just keep honking. I want to make them feel uncomfortable enough that they might rethink this in the future. Even if they don't it makes me feel a lot better.
It should be considered inpeding the flow of traffic. Did you know that in many locales in the United States you can actually get a ticket for not speeding? If you are on the express way and all of the people around you are speeding and you are doing the legal limit and causing people to have to weave around you then impeding the flow of traffic award will be handed to you free of charge! You just have to pay for it later. Weird huh?
Oh yeah see this all the time, but once about 10 years ago (I will never forget it). We were driving home on the freeway, and there was a huge accident that had all the lanes shutdown with the emergency vehicles everywhere. This idiot crossed all the lanes to get to an exit. She almost hit us and another car. The Police where right there and took her down! All of the other drivers, including us, cheered and clapped.
OP needs a tank or bulldozer to drive straight throw those cars.
Well where is the control what is wrong with having police control there to ensure that does not happen this is so wrong!
Oh for one of those monster trucks and roll right over the brutes!
I got caught in an intersection like this myself. however I was sitting in a limousine with my son's casket on my lap...The oncoming cross traffic started blowing their horn... like the road would miraculously open :( I slid the casket to my wife off my lap to exit and luckily my brother in car behind pulled aside of limo and confronted oncoming cross traffic driver... Thank God I would have brought him to cemetery with me by the F***** neck if necessary...
Some jurisdictions consider this the as running a red light. Hefty fine.
I must confess that I have been the @$$hole who blocked an intersection like this. I got honked at. I don't blame those who honked in the least! Since then I have done my best to avoid being in an intersection when the light changed.
This happens everywhere in South Africa. Our Minibus Taxis see a red light as a challenge or a suggestion rather than a signal.
I would drive into someones car and I would get new car from his insurance. :)
In this case those who drive and are free from sin, throw the first stone.
It's called reading the road - you do not enter an intersection unless you can see that you can leave it. You are supposed to wait and not block lanes. Dense traffic is never helped by people doing this, it makes it worse. THAT is why it is against the law in so many countries.
Load More Replies...Nah, I see this in the Bay Area all the time. People still turning on yellow because it's a longer light (bigger intersection) so they're too impatient to wait for the next round of green. This is especially the case during rush hour. It's infuriating and an a*****e move. I have Zero problem blasting my horn and giving them the finger/dirty look when it's my green and they're blocking my way. They're no more special then you or I. Load More Replies...I have absolutely no problem calling these assnuggets out for their rude behavior. It's quite funny really because most of them are sitting down when I do and they stand up trying to be all bad a*s to me. I am a woman (duh right? ) but I am also 5'11 and I work out. Most of the time they are shorter than me and they realize that they don't stand a chance. I am a lover not a fighter but they don't need to know that haha. Anyways, I just don't tolerate this sort of behavior!!
1. People who litter everywhere (especially smokers, I see dozens of them a day thrwoing cigarette butts just anywhere). 2. People who take 2 or more seats in crowded buses or benches 3. people who take a whole sidewalk walking very slowly or just standing there talking or whatever. Move! 4. idiots who park just anywhere not only bloking road and cars but also endagering people by blocking view and to avoid police and ticket they switch on those "blinker" lighrs like car is broken. It's not. There are dozens and dozens idiots like that parked blocking whole right lane. 5. People who sneeze and cough around instead of using the tissue, especially in closed areas like buses. I don't want your germs! 6. smokers who blow smoke at everyone. I am alergic. 7. people who cut in line. Wait like everyone else. 8. People who take children in crowded, too warm or too cold or generally unpleasant places (unless they really have to) without any reason but to get over everyone in line or get a seat.
I used to be a smoker (10+ years ago), but I have since become extremely sensitive to cigarette smoke. It burns my throat/nostrils, causes me to sneeze, etc. Anyway, a lot of smokers think that people just make up being allergic to it. Even when I smoked, I would NEVER smoke & walk down a sidewalk. I think that is so disgusting to essentially blow your smoke in everyone's face behind you. Yuck yuck yuck!!

The child wasn't in distress..she was screaming for the fun of it. But I could hear seniors hearing aids whistling from the sharpness of the scream. I approached the woman and asked her if she get the girl to calm down because of how it was effecting other people shopping. She said "Oh she's not screaming..she's singing." Excuse me? She was approached by other shoppers and still refused to quiet the child down. I approached the manager who in turn..told her to take the child outside until she calmed down. The woman stomps off saying "HOW RUDE!! SHE'S JUST SINGING!!" Again..excuse me?
I'm sorry for my profanity in some of the posts above but people like this are disgusting and disgraceful in so many ways. The bread kneeling woman would have had me in her face and she would have paid for those loaves of bread. I hate people like that. Makes my blood pressure go up and my mind go to very dark places about what I would do about MANY of those situations! Un F*****G believable what folks think is OK to do!
No discipline, no set by example from parent(s) in a child's formative years.
Just like that time two women were in Winners with their little dog that crapped in the middle of aisle and when we confronted them about it - told them they shouldn't have a dog in the store in the first place - they grabbed a pack of wet wipes off the shelf and quickly left without paying for them
Yep, seen this behaviour many times when I was a school teacher. Student response was that if I cleaned up after myself then the school cleaners would not have a job. Sometimes parent/carers would back their child so that meant total refusal. So what you see in these pictures are people older and younger who are displaying a sense of entitlement to do whatever they want and if confronted will most likely threaten you.
I've never understood behavior like this. I've always seen it as self serving and disgusting.
This made me so angry!~ I wish I hadn't looked at this. I can't believe how disrespectful and disgusting people are :(
If I were religious: I would pray that all these people go to a very special place in HELL, FOR ALL ETERNITY!
Shopping carts and those who leave them loose in parking lots -- particular those who leave them in disabled spots -- are my personal rant. I have a disease that is destroying the soft tissue in my joints and live in a constant state of pain. Yet, I can somehow manage to return my cart to the bin even in bad weather. Meanwhile, I watch obviously fully abled people leave their carts so they easily roll into other cars, block slots and/or block disabled slots. It's the height of both laziness and inconsideration.
This was just in case if someone is sceptical about the need for strict rules in the society. In the same time we have countries such as Singapore or Japan where the ratio of antisocial idiots to normal people is in favour of normal. Of course, definition of normal can be always stretched for the convenience of idiots.
I agree with Marc, NOT ONE PERSON SHOULD DO ANY OF THESE!!!! IT IS BERY RUDE AND COULD GET YOU IN JAIL!!!!!!
This is exactly why I can't stand to fly. Dealing with rude, ignorant humans.
Does anyone else feel way more triggered than they thought they would be? haha
well I know that these people are filthy, flee ridden rotten people who are not only selfish but extremely rude I want them to read this be so ashamed as they should .there Filthy ,Horrid people!
One time our family went to the zoo, and it was raining, so we had to wait in one of the tunnels, and some a*****e decides to start SMOKING, and yes there were a lot of kids there too.
I did not believe that I was so exceptional a person - when I went to hospital the Nurses were not the only people who made such a fuss of me - the cleaning staff too - I was only behaving as I was taught by my Nanna= small chocolate bar for a sweeper "you work too hard sweetie" - another orderly I asked for - out of the trash a small plastic bag for the things I would not chuck on the floor - I was being treated for a broken hip but the Nurses too treated me like a friend because my behaviour was different from that displayed by some - I am not outstanding - I refuse to believe that
Just why... why do we have to live in the same world as these horrible people? They forget they have to live in this world with us, no one wants to clean up after them or put up with their vile (and sometimes dangerous - like the ice cream licking numbnut) things they do.
Did anybody tell them? Cause when I see a jerk I tell them if possible especially when there are witnesses. I am in mid forties why should I shut up? Just have reached levels of zero tolerance for stupid disrespectful people!
I have been doing work exchange in hostels around Asia the last couple of years and it is really enough to make you hate people. People act incredibly disrespectful and entitled in hostels especially, knowing that they are not the ones who have to clean up afterwards. A personal favorite happened a few weeks ago; someone had decided to blow their nose on their pillow, and I don’t even know how but that thing was GIANT! But wait! It gets better! This person has then taken off the pillow-cover with this giant bugger, flipped it inside out (so that the bugger was now on the inside) and put it back onto the pillow. I had to spend several minutes peeling the cover off the pillow and then try to scratch off the now dried bugger from the pillow. Smartass actually slept on the pillow so it was really pressed into it..
And don’t get me started on all the parents that stay with their small children. Cleaned a suite last year and spent probably an hour, if not more, scrubbing sticky handprints and poop off every surface in the room.. If there is one thing I have learned since doing this, it’s that people are a******s.

Um, what the hell is with the trashing of only children up in the text below photo #5? There are plenty of people with several siblings who are breathtakingly selfish and plenty of only children who are utterly selfless. Stop spreading harmful, baseless stereotypes in otherwise good content, please.
In a store, there was a boy around 8 who was completely out of control, and his mother was intimidated by him. He later almost pushed me down the escalator, so I told him off. He scampered behind his mother. Too bad she was too wussy to teach him manners. If a child of mine had ever acted like that, we would have been having a serious discussion outside of the store with consequences like losing computer privileges for a significant period of time. Time to get tough with your kids. They won't learn it any other way.
no comment actually can describe this feeling. not just disgusted, awkward or angry.
It would be great to know where these were from. They remind me so much of the unbelievably rude and inconsiderate behavior that is the norm in Miami, FL. Nice place but I had to move away as quickly as possible to get back among people that behave like people. Although not the worst thing I saw, it bothered me a lot when a family, with little KIDS, would stroll through a store eating whatever they desired and then discarding it when something else caught their eye. They make it hard not to hate people but there is a lot of good out there.
People upset me on a daily basis , but this makes me feel I live a sheltered life. If I didn't see this in pictures I wouldn't truly believe it. You want to take these "people" and shake them. Makes me want to become a judge more than ever!!!
This lost made me so angry! People can he so inconsiderate and entitled!! Who raises these people? Who married them? Yuck!
People are disgusting. As I get older, I hate people more and more. I would not work in customer service if it was the last job on earth. Some people act like they grew up in the mountains or something. Even animals are better than humans
Undoubtedly, animals are faaaar better than humans.

The ones with the kids destroying property is the horrible. These parents should pay for the damage their kids caused and should be banned from returning. WHY can't people confront them instead of taking photos?? The worst thing that could happen is that they refuse to move, then you tell the manager/security guard. I mean, it can't get any worse. Why are people so scared to intervene??
Didn't want to start my Friday morning like this! Completely enraged by some people's attitude..

I'm the person who, instead of taking photos of these ignorant fudmonkeys, go and confront and/or do something about it. People get away with this s**t because not enough people stand up to them!
A lot of these worthless f--kwads would make excellent poster children for Planned Parenthood!
The more I think about it, the more it pisses me off. These people need to be s**t-shanked.
The only thing worse than all of this is (a) nobody stood up to them and (b) your blurring of their faces. At this point I'm thinking China might have a good idea with that whole social credit thing. We need an app for that. Don't worry about who they are, facial recognition should be able to find them on social media - but enter whatever data you may have.
I am not the kind of person that can easily get disgusted to the point of almost vomiting, and I got there several times during this list. How awful some people are, eugh.
And this is just a few examples of why I hate being in public places and hate people. My panic and anxiety attacks are on full alert now. I shouldn't read these kinds of posts.
I loose hope seeing people witness this kind of behavior and instead of acting they take pictures and share them here. They are part of the problem too.

An abiltiyt to see beyond your nose, to excercise self discipline and self control with control with others is the sign of a savage - and this I mean. The first criteria of the civilised person and a civilisation is - not high Technology as so many of modern nations think - but the abiltyh to learn and then practise and teach these characteristics. consideration for the boundaries of others, self control in your actions towards them, and self-discipline in your own behaviour are the basic marks of being civilised. By these criteria clearly it's seen that Americans, and few AngloEuros are civilised. They are merely high technology savage barbarians.
I know this seems ABSURD(!!!) but I know a great way to solve a few of these things. 1) Use a low-affective tone of your voice 2) Choose a few understandable words 3) Deliver your message. 4) Stay polite, reasonable and persistent 5) Now it's up to them. Even the most rude people have a hard time to argue with facts.

Load More Replies...I really think everyone should be required to work some kind of service job where they have to work with customers for at least a year. It would cut down on a lot of this c**p.
It's a good idea. I would personally hate it but I have a lot of time for people who work in jobs like waiting tables or dealing with customers in shops. They are tough jobs and usually underpaid as well.
Load More Replies...I'm 50 years old. In my lifetime I've watched morals slipping more and more. Trying to raise my kids with manners seems so pointless. I've finally had enough of morons - I was lucky enough to find a cheap old house in rural France far away from anyone and I can't WAIT to move! Goodbye, cruel world...
Take me with you? Please & thank you. Hahaha Honestly, that sounds like heaven.
Load More Replies...You know who else needs to be on this list? People who change their babies in the parking lot...then leave diapers on the ground.
Or the swimming pool locker room, on the bench just outside the shower room.
Load More Replies...I was at a Fred Meyer once when a woman was pushing a cart with her 3 year old around as the child screamed at the top of her lungs. This went on for at least 10 minutes.
Load More Replies...Recently, I saw some photos of a small city in Japan, lovely and so clean, not a speck of dirt or litter, all cities big or small, should be so clean !!!
Wow...there would be a lot of hurt feelings if I witnessed any of these things. What a bunch of entitled a******s.
What happened to "Ugh, ugh. Litter bug." You got a ticket for public littering. Even a wrapper out a car window.
Load More Replies...Why are their faces blurred out? They have no shame, expose them for what they are. Also, call this stuff out. Your silence equals acceptance.
The ones with the kids destroying property is the horrible. These parents should pay for the damage their kids caused and should be banned from returning. If people would take their faces out of their phones and watch their kids maybe they wouldnt behave like animals. People are selfish and think the world revolves around them. Its a me, me, me world we live in.
The people who wreck public facilities and parks should be required to live in a third world slum for six months. Then they'd appreciate what's been handed to them on a platter.
Load More Replies...People are the absolutely worst species on this planet. How can someone do things like that? How can someone be so f*****g ignorant and only care about themselves. They just deserve to be slapped!!
At some point the pictures become boring. If you witness someone acting like a jerk, call them out. You can fill millions of internet pages with this kind of pictures but it isn't going to chance a thing. Blaming and shaming them in public will.
This is what is wrong with the world. These are Americans. I am disgusted. Americans do nothing but bloviate their superiority and exceptionalism all over the globe, while behaving like this at home and sending armies to destroy other countries because we're so f*****g superior.
Ah, yes. Americans famously being the only a holes in the world.

Wow you repeated yourself. I mean I definitely agree with you the second time around /s
Load More Replies...Why do we need stories like this? I don't find this at all interesting or uplifting. All it does is feed the "outrage" mentality that we've really overdeveloped as a result of social media. Stop focusing on the jerks in the world and do your part to make the world a better place. That's what's needed.
In theory you are right, but in my experience, they will tell you to f**k of, or worse. I was physically threatened from a man for telling him calmly to pick up his trash.
