Artist Makes A Vase Entirely Of Pencils

Vases are usually made from glass or clay, but Nick from NZ Woodturning decided to create one using pencils. “I like to be different,” the artist said. “Most things I make you wouldn’t have seen before.” Nick stacked 4 layers of pencils around a block of wood, filled the gaps with resin which, after completion, created an awesome 3D effect. “It’s a bit of a funny shape, but it’s a funky piece anyway!”

id rather use those color pencils than making useless plastic c**p to be forgotten 15 minutes later.
Is a wood vase a good idea in the first place ? I mean, given the rotting and everything...
A waste of perfectly good pencils. And for what? A vase? Who needs a wooden vase anyway? Funny idea, tho.
I understand your perspective, but look at it this way: If the pencils were being used like they should've, they would've been thrown away eventually. Now they will remain for as long as possible in the form of a piece of decoration.
