Stunningly Detailed Sculptures Carved From Pencil Tips By Bosnian Artist
All artists use tools, but Bosnian sculptor Jasenko Đorđević turns tools into art. Born in Tulza, Bosnia, Đorđević uses an X-acto knife and tiny chisel to carve detailed pencil-tip sculptures. The result resembles something made from stone or charred wood. Đorđević was first inspired to carve pencils after seeing the work of Dalton Ghetti.
Graphite or “black lead” is Đorđević’s material of choice, “since it is hard and fragile at the same time. One has to be very careful when working with black lead, as the smallest lack of attention can lead to its cracking.”

Until today, I never thought of graphite as an art medium except for pencils for drawing. This is amazing. It gives a whole new meaning to the term "miniatures".
Your art shows one does not need to have a lot of money to create beautiful art.
Side thought: imagine the look on this guys face if someone were to grab one of his sculptures and use it to scrawl a bad poem titled, "An Ode to the Kardashian."
I wonder how many pencils he went through to do these. It looks so difficult and fragile. Very impressive.
