I don't know about you but to me, it seems that Yehuda Devir and his wife Maya have just announced they're having their first child. But it was two years ago! Not only that, the couple revealed that "mommy got a bun in the oven" again in October!

Yehuda and Maya have been documenting their everyday life through comics for years (previously herehere, and here), and it's incredibly awesome to see how their parenting journey has become such an important part of their work too.

Adjusting to becoming a mom and dad is quite something on its own, but these two look like they have their priorities straight, guiding them along the way, and have figured it out. At least for the most part.

The first time the cute couple tried to get pregnant, it took them about a year. "While doing so, we've realized that a family of our own is the biggest creation we can hope for," Yehuda told Bored Panda in an earlier interview.

"The hardest parts were at the end of each month when Maya used to have her period," he added. "Continuously dealing with lack of success makes you feel as if you aren’t in control of your life. It’s a terrible feeling."

Yehuda, Maya, and Ariel have already had 4 lockdowns in their country, which means Ariel's daycare has to close too. The parents wish they could be with Ariel all the time when all of them are home, but they had to get a babysitter so they could work. "Like everyone else, we too have not been able to escape the limitations of the pandemic, and we need to be very creative in order to continue working in this situation," Yehuda said. "We have transformed our lectures and workshops, taking them online, and we make sure to appear in online events as much as possible."

"Also, these days we are publishing a new online series that will give you a glimpse into our private creative world. It will answer questions such as: how did we transform our most personal moments into content that millions can relate to all over the world? How did evolve from comic artists into successful content creators? What is it really like to put your most vulnerable side out there for everyone to see? What is it like to sit behind the screen after publishing new content and letting the world see you with no filters?"

Here's the official trailer of the new series. The couple also published a new book with Penguin Random House, and it's already number one on the Amazon bestselling list!

If this is the first time you're meeting them, artists Yehuda and Maya Devir are a married couple from Isreal and the creators of the popular webcomic "One of Those Days".

Yehuda Devir, born in 1988. According to Maya, he "makes ants look lazy". Yehuda found his love for drawing in infancy when he began painting on his bedroom walls. He was particularly influenced by American comics.

Maya Devir was born a year later, in 1989. Yehuda says she's "a goddess in a form of a woman who spreads joy wherever she goes". She specializes in realism and teasing Yehuda.

Maya is an artist herself and collaborates with her husband on the series. “Usually after something interesting ... happens to us, we tighten the concept and do a few composition sketches,” Yehuda explained once. “After that, I sit down and start working. When I finish, Maya adds her suggestions for improvement, suggesting color, typography, and so on. All of this process takes no more than a day.”

It's okay, nobody is watching you. They're here for a fun time at the beach, not to stare at others. Plus, most are feeling just as insecure as you. Try not to worry too much. Just focus on enjoying the day with your family, & soon that'll be all you'll be thinking about! It's okay to not love how you look, but don't let it ruin a fun day out with your family. Make some memories! ♡

As a person with slight pudge, big thighs, and no thigh gap, I totally understand the feeling, but it's gonna be ok. We may not be super skinny with big breasts and toosh, but we're still beautiful. ❤️

The older you get, the less you care. It's quite liberating.

But she’s drawn just as voluptuous as everyone else and even has her butt lovingly shaded in some of these comics,

Notice what she is covering? Her middle, probably the stretch marks he also featured in some of his comics....I know that feeling well.

Talking about their parenting journey, Yehuda and Maya said they are as excited as ever. “We are experiencing a whole new range of emotions and feelings we didn't know existed,” they told us. The journey revealed new sides in their personalities that aren’t only positive ones. "We also have a lot of conflicts, but we grow from it,” the couple said.

After the baby was born, Yehuda and Maya had no option but to change their priorities: “There is no more couple, no more team at work... only Ariel.” In fact, the couple now works in shifts and is living under a new schedule. “It's a new life and we’re getting used to it. But not in a bad way. This experience is going to create a new and better us.”

And now, twice as much!

They seem like a really connected couple, so this is probably just one of those “I love you and am happy to be next to you, but I just don’t feel like talking right now”. Pre-tech, they would’ve both been reading, so kind of a non-problem—-unless it happens all the time.

I guess I saw this differently than everyone else. The goal as a couple is to remember it's you two against the problem, not against each other. But sometimes we forget. We argue with each other (as referenced in the previous cell "I know what's best for her!" And sometimes when arguing we get lost in winning. But when it's all said and done, it doesn't feel good to "beat" your partner. You don't really want to win against them. You want to win WITH them. That's how I saw it, anyway. But art is subjective. That's what's cool about it.
