Personally, I think everyone should know many things, including how to cook, clean, and how to take care of themselves physically, mentally, financially, the list goes on.

I agree with what you said. Some many people leave school and home unprepared for the real world. Like how to do taxes and a budget, how to clean, basic first aid, how to read contracts/application forms etc.
How to survive. That's it. Just know how to survive with the circumstances that one has.
Always be safe and make wise decisions. Don't engage with violent or rude individuals.
How to cook basic meals and make basic sauces.
It's important to know how to cook at least 6 or 7 good meals. I see a lot of people that, after having someone cook for them their whole lives, find themselves in a position where they have to make their own dinner and can't, so they just order out, If circumstances mean you have to do that for a long time it's not going to be healthy.
