We‘ve all been taught that it‘s not polite to listen to somebody else‘s private conversations. But sometimes you just can‘t help it but overhear some of it passing by, riding a bus, lifting weights at the gym, or casually shopping. And what makes these funny conversations as amusing as they are is that they're completely out of context.
This Instagram account, Overheard LA, is dedicated to such overheard conversations happening in Los Angeles, California. Stating that “We all have ears,” the creators invite Angelinos to share some of the best pieces that they have ever overheard in their daily lives. From weird questions and ubiquitous conversation topics - the Los Angeles population always has some funny things to say. We think it’s hilarious, and for the rest, you’ll have to scroll down and see for yourself!

In an earlier Bored Panda interview, a representative of Overheard told us that the project has really grown over the last few years.
“While our home will always be Instagram, we have begun to expand to other verticals such as text via the community app Clubhouse, where we host a biweekly comedy show and are exploring some really exciting product ventures.”
At its heart, Overheard is all about connecting people through a shared location or experience, “whether that is living in NYC (@overheardnewyork), dating on Bumble (@overheardbumble), or talking about celebrities (@overheardcelebs), our goal is to make people laugh and provide moments of joy and self-reflection,” the spokesperson explained.
Overheard started way back in 2015 when its founder Jesse Margolis created Overheard LA and San Francisco on a whim after listening to one such conversation in LA at a health food store. Now, seven people are looking after it.
“We are fortunate to work with great brands like Bumble, Le Labo, Netflix, etc. Currently, we see ourselves as social-first local media, and plan to expand into podcasts, local events, product, and more video content.”
When asked what kind of conversations best reflect Overheard LA's concept, Overheard told us that it’s really anything that touches a shared experience, like “dating, finance, spirituality, food, or local knowledge.”
Actually, the covid vax apparently only has 1/3 as much s**t in it as the flu vax, which is why they’re able to use a smaller needle.
I really hope this doesn't become the the next big thing: glitter-zombies who wants to be on a diet of animal brains and swooning girls who start an animal farm to help them out. Probably including a lot of scented candles and sewing stuff (can't let the beloved glittering lips fall off...)
I have two questions... One, does people truly believe in gosths or bad energies then? Two, isn't this very messed up or is it just me?

I wouldn’t buy a murder house that’s haunted, as the ghosts might be destructive and/or harmful. Now, a house haunted by a playful and friendly ghost (yeah, yeah, Casper, I know) would be one I’d love to live in.
I just don't want to have to think about which part of the floor had blood stains or decomposition fluids infused in it...
I never understood why some people don't want to live in a house where people die... Yeah, people die, that's how life works.
I wouldn't because you wouldn't know how well it was cleaned.

In some states if the death occurred on the property less than 1 year ago, you are required to disclose it. That's how I got 1/2 off an apartment for a year once.
I believe it's actually 3 years in California. That was the requirement when I sold my parents' house after they died. One of them had died in the home of natural causes. I don't know if that's just for the sale of properties, or if rentals are different, though.

For RE 1: It's illegal not to give full disclosure of death, lead paint, asbestos, etc. in my area when selling a home. For RE 2: He's not wrong, but it might sell better if it was on multiple tv shows and/or a book. I would buy The Murder House (aka the Rosenheim Mansion at 1120 Westchester Place in LA, CA, USA) haunted or not - even with all the AHS fans trespassing and trying to break in.
Pro Tip: Unless the house you're buying was just constructed, it's likely that at least one person died there.

Depending on how recent, you have to tell prospective buyers there was a death in the home. Maybe it depends on the region.
TV has taught me that Real Estate agents have to reveal this kind of information. Have I been lied to?
Depends on the state (in the U.S.) In Tennessee, the realtor is required to direct the buyer to check local police reports, as the realtor is not permitted to disclose themselves.

I've never understood how people seem to blame the house for humans murderering other humans in it?
Mention it to the "right" people. One of the reasons I lost interest in a house we were looking at was that someone had died there. I don't want to know about that, but others might find it interesting.
My husband would buy the house. I'd ask for a priest, shaman, rabbi, imam, various others, to come spiritually cleanse the place...
since I'm one of the mentioned hipsters (I'm not a hipster but I believe in ghosts , like true crim and am 100% that paranormal stuff is real) I would rent this place

This is so sad. A first my mom did not want to have kids either because she did not want to bring up children with the same unhealthy upbringing that she had. In the end she decided that she could break the cycle of abuse because she knew what NOT TO DO. I am happy to report that she was very successful. We have a vastly different relationship than she had with her mother. There is hope.
