Share on FacebookHAIR LOVE is awesome. I have never seen such a loving, sweet, uplifting video. It lasts for about 8 minutes. Do yourself a favor, go to youtube right this second and watch it. You will be making the world a better place.
I hope that will push more people to watch Bong Joon-ho other movies, starting with memories of murder and the host
Snowpiercer! I nearly didn't see that film in the theater, because Harvey Weinstein had "edited" the film, as he often did with films acquired by his company. Bong Joon-Ho objected and refused to have his name on the edited version. Weinstein was so sure his was better, they did a couple of screenings and audiences preferred the director's version. So, to punish Bong Joon-Ho the film was released in the minimum number of theaters isolated, under-performing theaters -- rural, suburbs, etc. Film critics charged film lovers with seeking out the film and generating word of mouth, which we did. Look at Bong Joon-Ho versus Harvey Weinstein today!
Load More Replies...The main categories ain't s**t, that's the Hollywood Shuffle game of campaigning. Ever since The Martian won Best Comedy or Muscial, that was when the shark was jumped. But the Shorts are amazing, they actually comb through those. Parasite is totally going to get remade sooner or later.
This year I had the same feeling as THE MARTIAN miscategorization when Tom Hanks was nominated as Best SUPPORTING Actor for B-D-I-T-Neighborhood. That's such studio B.S.
Load More Replies...To be honest, I feel like they don't usually get the right people to vote for the best animated feature film. In the past, there has been admittance that those chosen have not always seen all of the films nominated and usually just pick the one that they have seen--which is usually the Disney or Pixar one. Truth be told, Klaus is a wonderful 2D animated film and I would have loved for it to win.
South Korea winning all those awards was a pile of c**p! That was all political nonsense and everyone knows it! I am ashamed of the Accademy.
But how? How does giving awards to a South Korean movie (that is not politically themed) benefit America's interest?
Load More Replies...My choice for winner is Shia LaBeouf who was so patient and tender with his PEANUT BUTTER FALCON costar Zack Gottsegen. Zack has Down Syndrome, and when he was struggling to read the teleprompter, Shia leaned over and kissed the top of his head.
I completely disagree with 1917 for "Best Visual Effects" when compared to Avengers: Endgame, The Lion King and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker...
Both Endgame and Rise of Skywalker overused CG for their graphics, while most of the graphics from 1917 were practical effects
Load More Replies...I watched some of it. But as I was watching I kept thinking, I'll bet anything more people are watching this than the democratic debate on Friday. And that just made me sad, so I eventually just turned on Netflix and watched a few episodes of Pose. I did catch most of Joaquin Phoenix's acceptance speech right before bed. I made a batch of dairy free no bake cookies in honor of it this morning. I used plant butter and almond milk and they were delicious!
Great, the 2 feminist movies get best hair, makeup, and costume design, typical
Aladdin was a fun movie. Fun movies rarely win.
Load More Replies...South Korean movie winning Best Picture is not a political decision designed to sway positive American sentiments in the region at all, right? It's not related to cementing a cultural foothold of American interests in the region as a response to increased Chinese and North Korean hostility, right? Naaahh,, I'm just imaging things.
