You know that face your friend makes when you tell them you haven't tried a certain type of ice-cream? Or when you reveal that you haven't done something that the majority of people consider to be the most ordinary things? Well, prepare to make that face yourself as we dive deep into the list of the most basic things some people have never tried in their lifetime, and some are even secretly proud of it. From never biting on a pear to never learning how to ride a bicycle, some people are really doing the opposite of living life on the edge. This Bored Panda challenge invites you to write down the things you haven't tried and to add them to our post!

Never walked by a dog without smiling at it.
Also..I've never watched an episode of Game of Thrones, Walking Dead or have seen any of the Twilight movies.
Never broken a bone
So far, I have never died!
I have never learned how to ride a bike.
When people say "this will be as easy as riding a bike" my brain always immediately thinks "yikes".
I have never lost my keys. I still use the same keychain that I got at 12 (I'm just changing the keys or adding new ones)
Never used an X Box or Playstation.
My daughter was incredulous when I told her I had never heard the menu music from a Wii.
I’ve never seen any of the Star Wars films
(Not a requirement for an astrophysics PhD, thankfully)
Never watched a game of football. Don't even know the rules. I thought I could name 3 football players, but it turns out David Beckham has retired and George Best is dead, so I'm down to Wayne Rooney.
Smelling Something
Was born without a sense of smell. Closest I come is tasting something in the air.
Never owned a credit card.
You should get one even if it's only for getting gas. It helps establish a credit score. My card gives me cash back on my purchases and I haven't paid interest on it ever and I've had it since '04. They've given me about 2 grand cash back and they've gotten nothing from me. Make your card work for you.
I have one for emergencies. Good to have at least one. You never know when it'll come in handy.
From my understanding, you can't rent a car or hotel room without one unless you have that amount of money in your checking account to cover it on your debit card so kudos for you if that's the case. Smart cookie but agree that it does bite you in the butt when you do try and buy a home; a credit score is what they are looking for.
not a lot of people in my country owns one, Debit cards are the norm here mostly because no one needs credit cards, not even to order outside the country from ebay, amazon, aliexpress etc
Load More Replies...Credit cards isn't really a thing here in Denmark. So a lot of Danes have never had one.
They have credit cards that pay you to use them. Just pay off the balance at the end of the month and you'll be making money off them. My cc company has paid me about $1,200 so far and they've gotten nothing in interest from me. If you have self control in your spending, it doesn't make sense not to have one.
I hadnt, until I was about 45. Decided to get one. Handed it back within 3 months. Used it rarely. Didnt like it.
In a lot of countries that is normal. It took me years to understand what strange fetish people from north america have with credit cards. I got my first with 24 because of trips to countries where there are more useful.
Good one.. I am just using debit card too.. It is silly that we not pay in cash something that we can afford.. And even worst buy anything that we cannot afford with a way which will add us some interest..
probably for the best for now, but eventually, you will need to establish credit, depending on the decisions you make, it can be a tough learning experience (with paying your bill back, interest and all)
I had a credit card/s all throughout my twenties. Never had too much debt, but usually had some (and when you're a student and can barely afford food, any amount of debt is too much, really)...proud to say, I've gotten ridden of all of them and plan to stay that way. Felt great cutting up that last s****y bit of plastic!
What?? How do you even live without one? I mean just even trying to book a hotel or anything you need a card
I'm in my 40's and only recently got one. It's really hard to get them in my country and I'm a freelancer - extra hard if you can't prove steady income.
I knew someone that doesn't own one either, because he pays cash, his credit score is zero. I didn't know that was possible, but I read online that it is..
I daren't have one, I have very little "won't" power. Have had catalogue accounts that I seem to be able to control.
Me neither - seems counter intuitive to wanting a debt free lifestyle.
Me neither. Just not so common in every country as it is in the US. ;)
I just recently got my first credit card (at 33), and just use it for gas and such, then pay it off.
Me either and I’m in my 30’s! I don’t trust spending money I don’t have but at this point I can’t justify not having one much longer.
The people that don't own credit cards tend to be the ones with the discipline to use it properly. I got one at 18 specifically to build credit. I use it for its convenience and pay it off each month. By the time I got a mortgage I had a credit score of close to 800.
Never been knocked out
Never changed a car tyre. Not exactly proud, it just hasn't come up.
Not a difficult task. Interestingly, I changed three tires in my life, despite never owning a car. Turns out there are a lot of people out there that have cars but don't know how to do it and are completely helpless as a result. I only knew how because I had watched my grandpa do it as a kid once.
I've never been stung by a bee. I'm 45.
Been on facebook or even seen what its user interface or whatever it's called looks like
I graduated film school without seeing Citizen Kane. Still haven't.
I saw it and when it was over was amazed about the hype.....just another black and white....
Ive never had chewing gum. I just dont see the appeal? Like you, chew it for a bif then spit it out? I dont know
Read anything in bathroom while on the toilet
Ordered a drink at a bar
Never seen Titanic. Never been in a Walmart. Never been on a bus.
I am 46, never got a filling! Still all my original teeth in original condition!
Make it 47 and still no change!!! Yay me. I have never met someone whom is my age with the same luck!
Load More Replies...A couple were funny or cute. A lot were sad. If you've got a big ol' list of things you've never done, you've gone from being selective or quirky to being either terribly sheltered or snobbish.
Not necessarily. Maybe you haven't watched a ton of trash movies or tv shows. It's sad if you haven't traveled, but maybe you don't have money or maybe you're just super comfortable at home.

I don't know if this counts but I know two people who have never had a headache. I've thought about cracking them over the head with a bat but it's just not the same.
Maybe they just didn't realise, where the pain is coming from. You know like little children, whose tummy hurts, when they break their arm.

I've never been to an ikea or a Costco, never seen titanic or the notebook, and have never murdered anyone. However, on the opposite side of things I've done a few things some people have never done, like get bitten by an owl, pet a tiger and flown an airplane.
Pet a tiger is something you shouldn't be proud of. They just let you do it if they are babies (but shouldn't be exploited even then) or of they are drugged
Load More Replies...They support anti-LGBTQ organizations, so this is good that you have not been.
Load More Replies...It is really hard- was just thinking about what i never did and nothing special comes to my mind. I have never been to africa. I never cooked steak (tough eaten it)
Unless you're under 25 that's incredibly sad.
Load More Replies...A lot of these are sad. Either sad or like seem like they are preceded by "I'm better than you because I've never..."
Seems like a really weird thing to be proud of... like do you not have any other "accomplishments" in your life? Not watching a show is something to be "proud" of????
Load More Replies...I don't have tattoos or piercings, and I've never broken a bone (and I live in Austin, Tattoo and piercing city).
Considering that you are right about that, then you have been right and so forth you are not right about it.
Load More Replies...I have never been drunk. I tried some alcohol, but I just can't get over the feeling of "this is not right" when drinking it. Not morally, more like a physiological reaction to something I shouldn't eat. Alcohol just tastes slightly "toxic", if that makes sense. I even like small amounts (like pralines), but more than that and my body goes into "NOPE STOP IT" mode. I'm 34 and it actually impacts my social life a little bit, because drinking is the "default" and you always have to explain when you don't.
I've never seen any of the Marvel movies and I don't ever plan to.
I have never seen any super hero movie and i don't plan to
Load More Replies...I also have something that my teacher has never done. He has never eaten Ramon Noodles. He survived college without them.
I haven’t done 19 of these. Some of these, like ordering at a bar, I’m to young for.
never watched an episode of Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, 13 Reasons Why, The Good Place, Scandal, Mad Men, Bones, or Orange is The New Black.
32 and still have most of my milk teeth; no cavities, no fillings, but I have had shards of baby tooth removed because it was poking at nerves under one of my few adult teeth.
This is a massive no one cares post with extra comments of people saying more dumb s**t.
I never had a boyfriend and credit cards. Maybe that's why I have never lost my money. LOL.... I've never watched Game of Thrones, Frozen, Star Wars and Walking Dead and many other film/series that many are crazy about. I've never been to a zoo, either. Most of all, this may sound harsh but I have never told my parents I love them. I just show it but never say it.
I have never ever changed my phone number. I got it when I was 5th grade and I'm still using it 15 years later.
Never been to Olive Garden. Or Cheddars. Or went out of country. Or lived in another state. Or gone to therapy (goodness I wish I did.) To be honest, most of what I haven’t done, I’m kind of sad.
I’m Canadian and never have I ever seen bagged milk in person...
I've never watched a single episode of "reality tv" - unless you count cooking shows. Never watched any of the 50 Shades movies... tried to read the first "book" but was so disgusted by the horrific writing that I had to stop. Sadly, I've also never danced with the devil in the pale moonlight.
Never consumed any alcohol or smoked a cigarette (...40 year old Aussie)
I have never fallen in love or lusted for someone. I think that's about the most universal thing that I don't have.
