You might not be scared of lions, tigers, and bears, but the thought of asking your crush out on a first date probably sends a shiver of dread up your spine. A British relationship blogger named Oloni recently pushed her followers to face their fears and ask men of their dreams out - and, of course, share their responses after completing this viral Internet challenge. The results of this experiment will have you rolling on the floor laughing, deepen your expertise on how to ask a guy out, and may even give you a boost of confidence.
The brave women from this list didn't need any help in deciding how to ask someone out; they just plunged forward with the riskiest of texts received some good news and bad news. By that, we mean that some of the guys were more than happy to take the ladies up on their offers, and others... Well, let's just say they made a hard left on 'Nope' street. Just cringe from your seat and be glad it wasn't you learning the hard lesson on how to talk to your crush.

Date Challenge Response

Why Not
There are a lot of people making assumption about these guys being jerks in their answers, without knowing any of the history of the people involved. We have no idea if the person who sent the message is a creepy stalker type, a crazy ex, etc. Maybe the person who received the message REEEEEAAAALLY hates the sender, and has made it obvious in the past. Maybe the person receiving the message is actually homosexual, and out and open about it. There's just not enough context.
I was thinking the same thing. For all we know these people could be really good friends, they could have had a terrible falling out, they could be married to each other for all we know. I know if I asked my bf on a date he'd probably say something like "ewww hell no not with you" and we have been together for 8 1/2 years so I don't think there's a need for all these pissy comments. Some people are s****y but you never know.
Load More Replies...lol some of these were harsh as hell but f**k it, i've curved people just as hard. can't have a double standard.
Ouch. I asked a guy out once and he laughed at me. Hard. I never asked another guy.
I love the yes ones that seem like they were hoping to be asked but too shy do make the first move.
lot of people are a******s here how many of them women do you think will actually go out with the person, like 3 of them said they had no one else to ask plus why is it so bad for a male to turn down a female but the other way its ok? I'm a gay male, I got a lot of girls that "crush on me" if one asked me on a date I would say no, and a lot of them are just friends some have had me go on dates with them and have tried to "make me straight" by forcing them selfs at me does that mean IM the bad guy for the next time That person wants to ask me on a date? I had this one girl she was my best friend, BEFORE I came out, she hung off me, but she was always trying to get me to touch her, it ended up with a restraing order, and I stil got random texts from her, WAS I THE BAD GUY to be rude and block her like so many people said was "wrong " for guys on here? how many of those girls with a crush, might have msg the person a ton of times before this post was the last straw and blocked them?
That's such a shame. I've asked male friends out for coffee, lunch, etc. It's not always about romance. I've had more than few conversations that go this way: Me: Let's go get some coffee and talk. Him: I'm Gay. Me: I know. I just want to dish about show/movie/singer/whatever we've talked about before that we both like.
Load More Replies...I think it's good that these girls took the risk like guys are always expected to do. Give you a little taste of scary it can be and maybe next time you turn a guy down, you will go easy on him instead of acting like a b***h. Some girls can be so cruel to a poor guy just cause he isnt her "taste" or whatever.
I originally got rejected by the man who has now my been my fiancé for eight years! :P
the hell man. some of these dudes have no chill/ no manners. i feel like we should give props to the guys who let them down easy. but really that should be the standard not the superlative.
I feel sorry for all those who were into jerks and had courage to ask those jerks out. Many of the answers are just rude and at least now those who asked know.
There can't be so much a******s that talk like that with a woman...or there's some story behind (they're still a******s thou) or I call those it fake
I’d rather be rejected in a text than they say yes then stand me up. Had it happen back in the day and it sucked.
Yurp is one of the most powerful sentences i have heard in my entire existance

I thought that a lot of them were rude…Like I would never be so rude don’t get me wrong some of them are nice but these mean guys are a*s holes
Title: "Women Are Sharing The Responses They Got After Asking Out Their Crush On A Date" should be "crushes" unless all these women were crushing on the same person.
Everyone talks about women friendzoning guys, but I am a woman who has been friendzoned by two separate guys. I was honestly starting to worry that these were all gonna be sappy yesses.
I'd like to know the context of some of these relationships. Some of the responses seemed mean and uncalled for, but they also could have had a history as well and the woman was clueless and underestimated the hard feelings.
I would like to know what would happen if these stories were the opposites... us asking girls on a date :)
It'd be all NOs, these people don't seem to know about each other, they're crushes, not friends, and the guys are either joking, being real or it's all rigged for clicks.
Load More Replies...Personally, i finally got the courage to do the same thing stateside and was blown away with the positive results....we have all gotten to cautious cause folks are basically too mean overall with all the social media out there and the ability to crucify.........stop the insanity and apply golden rule....take the harsh truth of live living and the pursuit of happiness.....if the other person is harsh it may be for a totally benign reason....don't read into it too much and just smile that you had the courage to put yourself out there. you never know the future and take the good with the bad. this from someone who just hibernated for four years after a really bad divorce and then out of the blue met someone very casually and just talked for a few weeks and then just took a gift basket upstairs.....ordered a friday night pizza, can't go wrong with that and said, hey you wanna share a pizza......and i am 63 and thought nothing could go right but even if it had gone wrong i still smile.
I told my crush to take me out and he said " what have you ever done for me to take you out". No hard feeling now. However at the time, the ground swolled me whole. Guess people can be mean, but you don't have to take it on. Also, I don't think I will be asking a guy to take me on a date any time soon...
I got asked out by the hottest girl in my class when I was about 15, the idea that she would want to show me any genuine interest was so far beyond my comprehension that I turned her down, I just could not work out her angle. insecurities can play games with your head and make you a d**k in some cases.
Well, it's high time girls ask for dates and not just wait for guys to do so. Because you know... sex equality. And some guys being shy. Sometimes it will work, some other it will burn. But that's what we, men, are actually going through. So that feels actually right that women go through it as well
Well now I'm thinking about my crush who I will not ask out anytime soon because I would surely be friend zoned! >~< (But at least I can be his friend! :))
I would like to learn about the people this way. Some of these guys I would not like to be in a relationship with, EVER! Just from one sentence!
Shows how easy it is for women to get a date. Do the same with men... sad Bored Panda article resulting.
about half of these are rejections m8. And dates dont guarantee anything
