A few weeks ago I saw him when he appeared in one episode of 'Friends'. I was so pleasantly surprised. I love that actor!
I know him very well from Black Adder when he was young so not really a surprise.

I wish I could post a photo I grabbed of him when he was 19 in acting school. He and Emma Thompson were in college together and Hugh loved rowing -- he was a top jock. In the photo he's standing beside the American rowing team who had been headed to the 1980 Olympics in Moscow until the boycott. So they came to England and beat the pants off all the British rowing teams. He's in his 30s in this photo.

Used to watch him on PBS in Jeeves & Wooster. He was in his early 30s then.
I've watch the Fry and Laurie show and its f*****g funny. I would rather see him in comedy, however, he is pretty good at drama

I went to a movie premiere back in 1995 in NYC, I forget the picture now. He arrived with his wife and son, and my god. Photographs didn't do him justice. He was an absolutely beautiful man. He may photograph weird, but he was so hot in person, I did a double take. And his wife looked at us all gawping at her man like the cat who'd gotten the cream.

I feel like SOME of these folks we haven't seen much of young, yes, but many of them have been in movies forever. Sometimes I get very annoyed at how "young focused" Bored Panda is, like y'all think no one over 35 comes to your site. There are plenty of us "old farts", as Jo Choto said, here. Keep that in mind, BP. Don't slip over into ageism.
