By day, Brian Kesinger is a story artist at Walt Disney Animation Studios and by night he's an author and illustrator of Walking Your Octopus. Kesinger masterfully blends the Disney world with the steampunk style and imagines exciting adventures of a very unlikely friendship.
The main characters of these cool drawings are Victoria and her exotic pet - octopus named Otto. "Everyone can relate to having a pet," Kesinger says. "What I wanted to do with Otto and Victoria is to ask the question, 'What if your pet was an octopus?' As soon as you use for drawing inspiration, you start to raise humorous scenarios like how hard would it be to housebreak an octopus when they're inking everywhere."
From a relaxing tea party on a boat to lighting the candles for the evening, Victoria does everything with her cool pet cephalopod. Scroll down to enjoy this Disney animator's stories, and don't forget to vote for your favorite drawing ideas!

I LOOOOVE all of the doctor who references!!! (She's a weeping angel)
Garlic, garlic, garlic everywhere! *Turns into future song that kids will one day sing and remember the name Catfish*
It's best to kill vampires by decapitating them, you don't want to be taken by suprise when garlic doesn't work...
I know its horrible of me, but I can't think of anything but how well garlic goes with calamari... :(
Doesn't matter. Calamari is squid. Otto is an octopus - Pulpo. They are not the same creatures at all. Though Octopi are actually even more delicious grilled than calamari is...Try it Portuguese or Spanish style sometime. To die for! We'll just have to hide Otto if any Iberian chefs happen by looking for a lunch menu item.

I love ballet. This is my fave!.....Tho, both legs are turned in, Mr. Kesinger. :(
This series is so cute and original, its just precious. It makes you want to get your own set of pet tentacles. :D
I perfectly happy with my "pet tentacle", though.
Load More Replies...Please tell me have these are being made into an animated series! A girl and her octopus!
Octopus and pretty women... I have a feeling I saw something like this somewhere before 🤔
I wonder if the illustrator ever feels lonely that she doesn't actually have this octopus in real life? It honestly feels like she's capturing something real here :')
Otto feels like a compainon.. way more than a pet.. and i really would like to have one :D
I love every single one of these. Every. One. I love that they are all just fun, adorable, happy times.
Does no one else notice that her hair is shaped like an octopus? They really were meant to be friends. (-;
One of the most incredible articles and art I have ever seen on BP!!
Disney movie upcoming - prepping viewers ahead of time here at Bored Panda. Interesting marketing
More interesting and imaginative than anything Disney has done lately.. They should turn this idea into a movie
Adored it! I want to see the “Movie” I want to own the Picture Book, and the Pop Up Book... Lovely illustrations, love the steampunk vibe!
Her hair is shaped kinda like an octopus...or am I just overthinking it?
So clever, cute and funny! Agree with having an animated series or movie
i mean cute but i couldnt decide wheter it is her pet or server or lover :)
I hate my logical brain right now. After seeing each drawing snd appreciating the idea, I have to ask... How does a octopus out of water keep its shape?
The details are incredible. I'm going to enjoy these for quite awhile.
Author was apparently also a Dr Who fan, through a little Cathulu in there as well as steam punk stuff.
Too adorable. They must make a anime series out of this. Will be popular in no time.
I love it so much! I feel like this needs to be one of those cute Disney shorts with voice over narration about the correct way to take care of your pet octopus. Oh please Disney Gods!!! Please do something with this!!!!
The original book is like 5 years old now. A little late with this article.
Gee, aren't you just so much cooler and more awesome now that you pointed that out?

This tea pot is like a cute symbol ...it 's almost in every pic .
Beautiful illustrations.. the lines, the colours the effect.. all of it..
Now I really need to see a Disney movie about this! The idea is fresh and original! :3
I love how some of these images show the octopus acting just like many other pets (begging for treats, hiding from a bath, being taken for a walk, etc.) and some of them show the unique advantages of having an extremely intelligent 8-armed creature. And then of course, some of them are just outlandish - and cute.
I fail to see how any of this is "Disney". ?! The only squid I remember growing up with is in "20 Thousand Leagues Under The Sea".... GREAT FLICK Sorry, this vid is a Fail
