I still have mine, in working condition. Mind you, I grew up in post communist Romania, so having this was the utter most lavish thing my parents could afford. But it made my teenage years so much better

the only reason you had that case for a nokia was to attach it to your belt. It was NOT to protect it, nokia 3210s could survive a direct hit with a 10 megaton blast with only minor scuff marks

As a handyworker my Phone is in permanent danger of being lost or fall down (the phones today are so big. Pockets somehow get smaller. ) so i use a leather case with a leash haha

I miss the good old Nokia days. As a woman I rarely have pockets, and if I do they are too small for my smartphone.

My female manager used to wear this on her belt.

My dad still uses the belt cases for his cell phone. He is almost 70 and loves having his phone right on his belt!!!!

There are still a few of these in various shapes and sizes somewhere in our house. Don't fit any current phones but but, they're real leather! Can't toss real leather, that's criminal.

Dads were not the only ones who had these cases for their phones. It made them practical to carry around.

Now they're in leather. With your initials too! But not for mine. Less people know I have a phone, the better. Less drama. Besides, I'm one of those who rather text than have something attached to my ear.

My future husband picked me up for our 1st date in 1992 with a "bag phone"", about the size of a 6-pack cooler! He was soooo cool!

I would look straight up and thrown it as hard as I could at the ceiling and let it fall to the floor. Nothing. No protection was needed. But i had the insurance which has changed a lot itself. I remember the first time I was charged a deductible. It was so unfair. Lol

We used things like that at work in the mid 90's. Because phones was just a bit to big to have in the pockets, but small enough to keep in a pocket on the tool belt.

I remember the emoticons that you would get and save, you would always send those to every 34 contact you had stored on your 'state of the art' Nokia. 🙄

I have to admit that as a student in the early 2000's I had one of these. However, those phones were virtually indestructible, so the reason why we even used cases, is unclear. The only time I lost a phone to irreparable damage in that era, was by accidentally dropping it in the toilet (I forget to take it out of my back pocket), and against that kind of damage no case will protect...
