Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes, and no body part should be an exception. Yet noses are still picked upon over and over in the beauty industry. No wonder so many of us feel so insecure about it.
But 19-year-old Holly Hopkins got fed up with the so-called “ideal” beauty standards that promote polished side profiles. The truth is, they’re all too rare in real life. “It’s okay if your nose looks like all the 'before' pictures,” she stated in her now-viral tweet that got 169.4K likes. Many more people came forward celebrating their unique noses for what they truly are—totally charming, 100% natural and, and thanks to wise moms and dads, rhinoplasty-free.

Bored Panda contacted Holly Hopkins, a British criminology student and author of the viral tweet, and asked her about the "nose positive" initiative.
Holly told us that most importantly, everyone has to tell ourselves we’re beautiful. “Even if you struggle doing that, we need to remember we don’t need to be considered ‘beautiful’ in order to be deserving of respect from society,” she said.
The 19-year-old is convinced that “no one analyses your features the way we do to ourselves,” and it’s us who are our own worst critics.
Holly, whose tweet went viral with 15.3K retweets and 169.4K likes, received so many messages from men and women. “Lots of people have thanked me for posting it, but I don’t think I’ve really done anything special.” But she feels grateful to anyone who’s taken the time to message her and everyone who has been kind to people posting their photos under her tweet. “It was so lovely to see so much positivity,” she said.
Unfortunately, Holly still believes that the "ideal" beauty standard exists. “We see it in Hollywood and in the media,” she says, but she thinks that “we’re doing a good job at breaking it down” even if there’s still a lot more we need to do.
You look strong and exotic. Don't give in to *their* idea of beauty. Who are THEY anyway.

I am sorry that someone in your past made you hate your nose. As a short wide blocky lady with a lot of personality and not enough of a filter on my outside voice, it's ok to be different. IT is IMPORTANT to be you. It is VITAL that we learn to love ourselves inside and out. My standard for beauty is not everyone's standard for beauty, so I can not expect myself to be beautiful to everyone who sees me, but I am beautiful to those who think I am beautiful, and loved by all those that matter to me.

I will probably word this really badly and I mean NO disrespect to every other woman included in this thread but I love that you are just bare-faced and not trying to glam up other features to try and take away from your nose. Kudos. Again, I'd like to say that I'm not criticising anyone else for doing that - lord knows I'm no stranger to concealer!
I have this nose and I love it! If a surgeon offered to 'fix' it for free I'd politely decline.
I honestly do not understand what is wrong with all those noses. Like normal noses I see everyday on people. If to compare them to "Barbie" nose, then it is dolls nose not normal, not humans.
I have a “before” nose. I can’t drink from champagne glasses because my nose hits the edge. Lol. My husband loves my nose and has my profile tattooed to his chest. 💗
You'll have to get the old fashioned wide-bowl style champagne glasses instead! I think they look far more elegant!

From a personal point of view I prefer a longer narrow nose to a snub one, I think they are more elegant, and I love the bump on the bridge. It's just a preference thing, these noses all look fine and some of them are gorgeous. I'm starting to wonder if there isn't any part of our bodies were aren't supposed to hate.
As the owner of a "cute" upturned nose, I would take any of these noses instead of my own. I've been called a snob because of my nose ('you must be a snob, look at your nose'). Besides, every one of those women are stunning, beautiful, gorgeous. And their noses enhance that beauty, not detract from it.
