No One Came To This Kids ‘Stranger Things’ Birthday Party And Here’s How Millie Bobby Brown Reacted
There’s something about ‘Stranger Things’ that seems to have attracted the nicest people to the cast. Following on from the well-known exploits of David Harbour (who plays policeman Jim Hopper in the show), some Stranger Things cast members have reached out to support a heartbroken boy after nobody showed up to his birthday party.
Young Aaron Alambat held nothing back on his ‘Stranger Things’ themed party, with a kickass cake, Demogorgon blood punch, and party decorations based on the popular TV show creating the perfect atmosphere. Sadly, the classmates that he invited all decided that they would give Aaron’s party a miss. For anybody, let alone a child at school, something like that can be extremely upsetting.
Aaron’s sister Ayen was, putting it mildly, pretty angry with the situation. “My brother invited 8 of his classmates for his Stranger Things party & none of their punk selves showed up,” she wrote on Twitter, together with some pics of Aaron’s sweet set-up.
Her tweet quickly went viral, with tons of sympathetic people offering their support and telling Aaron that they would’ve loved an invite. Ayen’s tweet has since been shared over 57,000 times and eventually came to the attention of some of the cast of ‘Stranger Things,’ with Millie Bobby Brown replying: “What!!!! Oh Well, You can let them all know that everyone on behalf of Stranger Things would’ve come! I think you’re awesome and next year I would like an invite… Please?”
Way to make a kid’s day! Fellow star Gaten Matarazzo also joined in, offering to bring the cake for next year’s birthday bash. Ayen later shared pics of her brother smiling, and it turns out he had an amazing birthday after all, despite the no-shows. They probably regret it now!

The internet felt for the guy and people started congratulating him online
After her post went viral, Ayen thanked everybody and was about to wrap it up…
But it wasn’t complete until the star of the show Millie Bobby Brown noticed the tweet

Ayen couldn’t believe her eyes
Then Gaten Matarazzo joined in the celebration as well
The internet melted
My first real birthday party my Grandma (only person who raised me) saved for months and put on a HUGE chuck e cheese party for me, I invited my entire class.. No one shows, at all, my entire party we are the only two ppl at the huge table, while other kids parties filled the place we sat there the same as we did ever year, alone, I gave all my tickets I won that night to another family & went home.. To this day, never had a party with more than 2 other people 😢 I know how he felt
When my eldest was in 2nd grade, we spent all our money to rent out a putt putt golf place for his party and nobody showed, not even one person. After that, we made birthdays family affairs so nobody would ever be heartbroken again. We do movies or gaming parties with just us and it's really nice to enjoy it and not stress over anything.
Load More Replies...This makes me so mad because the PARENTS! What kind of human RSVPs and does not show up? I wouldn't do this today because my parents would have beat me senseless if I had done this to another kid back in the day. They raised me right! Not advocating for beating kids senseless, btw, but seriously, teach your kids some everyday manners and respect. Sheesh! I'm so mad right now!
I'm with you! This is what happens when parents don't teach their kids manners, empathy, consideration + all the stuff WE were taught! (my parents + grandparents would have beat me senseless, too!) Happy Birthday, Aaron! :)
Load More Replies...those 'friends' missed out on an incredible party, attention to detail was off the scale. hope it all happens next year, or better yet, get him a walk on part in season 3?
IDC what all the haters and doubters say. Some celebrities aren't as shallow as to say they'll come and not do it when the time comes. The fact that these celeb's even took the time to notice, let alone RESPOND, is pretty amazing. I believe that if invited, she'll show up
This is sad, but I don't get how this keeps happening to people. Is it not normal that invites are given out, people reply (like by text, or their parents phoning up cos we're talking kids here) to say they're coming or not? Then what happens? After saying they're coming, they just don't turn up? Or is it the thing in some parts of the world to just issue invites without expecting any reply and have a party regardless? Any party my 11 year old kid has, or has been invited to, everyone responds yes or no so you know exactly who is coming and who to cater/pay for. If no one said they were coming, the party would be cancelled or rescheduled. Is this not the normal way to organise a kid's party?
Wow. I was once invited to a party by a boy that is really annoying but I went and as soon as I got there, it was only me and him. Finally another girl showed up but no one else came. There was supposed to be about 15 people there but it was only me and the girl who showed. I know he was annoying but no one deserves to be stood up on their birthday. I was so glad I came, it was an awful party but I never would have forgiven myself if I skipped it.
I don‘t know how old he is but for all the people saying it‘s their parents fault.. hm i‘m not sure about this. Yes, something went wrong if they didn‘t cancel and tell aaron they aren‘t coming. I wonder what people they are. I would only invite friends and therefore they would at least apologize that they can‘t come. And I know the feeling when nobody shows up, but I can‘t imagine how heartbreaking it must be not knowing that nobody will come and just sitting there and waiting. I hope the celebs will remind their words if it really comes to an invite, otherwise it would be really mean and destroying
Things are getting crazy in the US. My friend's daughter decided not to have a birthday party because her SCHOOL has said that you cannot invite just your classroom friends to your party, you must invite the whole class. The daughter knew would have been too expensive (think 30 kids) and she doesn't get along with some of the kids in her class, and didn't want to deal with them on her birthday. What a crappy thing for a 9 year old to have to consider her family's finances on her birthday! Thanks to the school for that nonsense!

When I was ten years old, I had a big birthday party at my house. I stayed up all night making streamers, setting up fun stuff, I even baked a goddamn cake! I planned my a*s off trying to impress my classmates and make some friends, my mom worked night shifts for two weeks so she could be free that day, and you know who showed up? One kid. to use our bathroom. Then took one of my presents from my mom off the kitchen counter and took it home with her. i was heartbroken considering that package would have been one of the nicest things i would ever own.
I feel really bad for that kid but it is awesome that he got to talk to the cast of Stranger Things! I LOVE STRANGER THINGS IT IS THE MOST AMAZING SHOW I HAVE EVER SEEN PLEASE RESPOND TO THIS STRANGER THINGS CAST!!!
I rather pity such kids who are so evil and don't turn up for a friend's birthday ..... it's a disgrace their parents don't even teach them to do the right things. Happy birthday Aaron and keep up being the coolest kid !
I never had b-day parties. I didn't have frends because I was the odd one out. I was bullied so I never celebrated my b-days. Just my parents and grandparents and cake. I still don't celebrate but now I have one friend and she gives me home made presents amd it's awesome. Thank you for being my firat and only true friend. 💜
I made my kids go to every birthday invite they got, if they were nervous because they didn't know the other student well I'd just stay and help out. My kids would have showed up.
My heart breaks when I think of a child who has such a painful experience. Depending on the age, this kind of thing is the true mark of ya realizing our lives can be sad and we can experience a different level of let down that we didn't know before. He has an amazing family and I know that makes a huge difference, as well as the celebrities reaching out.
kids are too mean, i mean look at this boy he set everything perfectly, amazing dishes amazing organization and i can not believe even a single person show up. Oh i feel for this kid, next year even i'll go if i will be invited :)
Kids can be so damn cruel. Ok...I want to thank the parents of the cast of Stranger Things. Those damn kids continue to amaze me. I cannot wait to see the amazing people they continue to become. Millie Bobby Brown...damn. So much 'yes'. Never stop doing you.
Poor kiddo. For my birthday, me and my few friends went paddleboarding. No one else wanted to come because I was "unpopular" (whatever that means). Eh. Those other kids were arseholes.
S**t like this breaks my heart. And all the sad party stories in the comments too. This was the coolest party ever. I would have been thrilled to attend! And I would go to putt putt golf, or Chuck E Cheese or any other place I was invited. It's a child, with a birthday. Jesus. Go. Have some cake. Bring a little gift. Come on.
Really don't know the situation. The invite could have gone out last minute, he might actually be mean to his friends...and shouldn't you ask your guests to RSVP?
There's enough people (even adults) that will tick the "coming to party" box and then cancel last minute.
Load More Replies...Could this be fake news? Why would a bunch of people accept and none of them turn up? Maybe one might forget but not all of them. And if people had said they weren't coming, would you go ahead and dress up the party room anyway? No, you'd reschedule or do something else. Sorry but I'm not buying it. Nice of the cast to respond though, good on them.
Wow...YOUR awesome...don't famous people have someone to spellcheck for them so they don't look stupid?
