All jokes aside, calling someone “lazy” is somewhat an insult, especially in societies where hard work and productivity are valued highly (we’re looking at you, America!).
Having said that, a 2019 Pew survey found that a majority of Americans think people are lazier now than they used to be. But we can all discuss what being dubbed lazy actually means.
For some it's a lack of physical activity, for others it may be lack of will to do even the most routine and boring tasks. And while it’s totally normal to have a brief episode of idleness, if it lasts too long, you’re suddenly playing dangerous games.
So today, we’re diving deep into real-life examples of people succumbing to their laziness, by choice or accident. The result is an uncanny collection of pics that may make you laugh, infuriate you or give you a moment to reflect on your own lazy side.

Multiple Reasons Why You Should Put Your Cart Back And Not Be Lazy
Super frustrating to see this. My dad is a paraplegic due to a car accident. We both nearly died, no exaggeration. This type of c**p happens all the time. I’ve seen two healthy 19 yr old dudes park in a handicap parking space at the bank. Most folks excuses are, “oh I’ll only be one second”. NO ONE is ever just one second. The laziness & sense of entitlement is brewing rampant across the globe. This is not something unique to one race or moral beliefs. It’s a complete lack of common courtesy.
Laziness can lash out at us at every corner, especially at times when we need to be at our most productive. Think of work deadlines, important meetings and calls, bills to be paid and things to be done. Sometimes it’s little things that we can’t force our bodies to push through– from household chores to dragging ourselves to the gym.
And while we all have brief moments of idleness (which may feel pretty indulgent!), at some point it becomes a genuine problem. So to find out more about what’s actually happening in our minds when we’re lazy, how to cope with it we reached out to two experts: Christine Mitterbauer, a licensed and ICF-approved career, and life coach and serial entrepreneur, as well as Dr. Audrey Tang, a chartered psychologist, media spokesperson and author of multiple books, including "Be A Great Manager Now", "The Leader's Guide to Mindfulness."

Dr. Tang argues that laziness becomes a problem when you are either no longer contributing fairly to what you are receiving and requiring others to take the strain (with little thought to their wellbeing and efforts), or it is standing in the way of your own achievement of personal goals and desires.“In the latter case (and sometimes in the former) - this can speak to a lack of motivation, and, sometimes, the lack of desire to do anything can be a symptom of depression. In which case it can be helpful to ask yourself why this is happening,” she explained.

“Seems straightforward, doesn’t it?” Dr. Tang asks. “And this is a goal you’ve had for some time, plus those steps are probably quite easy…”
Dr. Tang invites us to think about everything we did yesterday–”how many of those things contributed TO your goal or simply distracted you from it (Netflix binges, scrolling mindlessly through social media, any psychodramas you got caught up in)?”

According to Dr. Tang, our brains are amazing since they are capable of so much. “And yet we often apply their energy and drive ineffectively due to habit, laziness, or simply because we don’t know any other way.”
It’s important to realize that it is not the big choices that we make that shape our lives the most – “whether to buy that house, whether to take that job, whether to get into a relationship with that person… because they are clearly defined and they have an exit strategy,” she said and added that “it is the little choices you make every day that really make up who you are.”

I do this to people who aren't handicapped but still park in those spots. I just scatter them behind the car. If it's late at night, I flip some of them over to make it even more inconvenient. I really hate people who abuse handicapped parking.

Those were left by handicapped people. Because parking lot designers never think to put a cart return near the handicap parking. It's always 100 yards away. I speak from experience.

OMG I freaken HATE people who do this. I am permanently disabled and having to get out and clean this up is super annoying. If I could I would touch each cart so I know who left the cart and then make all their food explode in their trunk. So when they go to put their groceries away all their groceries are melted or popped or whatever so they have to toss all their food away. PEOPLE SUCK!!!!!
As a disabled person, I am praying for these lazy jerk's karma to kick in soon.
It could have been worded differently, like "put your cart away." There are cart return areas in the parking lots, and people are too lazy to use the nearest one.

Uk we have coin carts, but you can buy key ring fobs that slot in the shape of the coin slot. People want the fob back because they chose it, bought it and want to keep it, some of them are for charities or have personal touches to them so... It seems to work effectively enough, minus the odd idiot or two just abandoning them... Also workers get paid to collect them from various 'docking stations' around the car park and bring them back to a main central one at the entrance...
They can ticket and fine you for that. Take pictures if you see someone doing this. Get their license plate number and report it
I called s lady out for doing that one day a few years back. She walked around two SUV's and my car to put it in a handicap spot instead of walking right behind her and putting it in a cart return. She erked the hell out of me when she did that
This is SO ODD to me. In Germany, you'd be told off by quite literally ANYONE who saw you not put your cart back neatly.

If I see an elderly person or someone who clearly needs assistance, I will take their cart back for them.

I feel like a lot of these could be clearly be explained and are just posted without context for rage bait. Also as someone with a disability who has done a few of the things in the list it honestly hurts that default assumption is lazy for things that could clearly be caused by disabled people trying to live in an abled world.
Well, that just reaffirmed my belief that humans are an ongoing mistake...
There was some sad examples of laziness, that I almost forgot how good it is, that humans are lazy. That gets us to invent washing machines, vacuum cleaners, lawn movers to use instead of tubs for washing by hand, brooms and scythes for the grass.
Okay but some of these comments were much worse, a lot of them could be understood in context I think
I can't understand the logic behind hanging poop bags on trees and fences and I see this everyday, so this is pretty common practice. Why? If you're really too lazy to take a bag with you, just leave the c**p on a ground and rain will wash it off. I'm not saying people should leave the poop, but putting it in the bag, and hanging it on a fence is extra work, and it's even more disgusting.
