The dancer is amazing ... I'm just as impressed, if not more, with her body tights.

Why are there so many ballet dancers in their toe shoes in the Subway?

Great photos but I'm confused about whether they're supposed to be candid photos. It seems like a lot of people (the dancers in particular), went to the subway to pose for photos, rather than being photographed while going about their journey. Still great though!
A couple are candid, but it's obvious that the vast majority are posed. I don't think there are this many ballerinas just hanging about the New York Subway, let alone some of the other, more outlandish characters...

How are there so many ballet dancers?! I've seen other picture collages like this, but they've never this many ballet dancers, makes all of it really weird.
I kinda have my doubts about the randomness but I still really like these.
So strange seeing the platform without some sort of protective fence or screen door. In and about Seoul, every single station has some kind of protection. The first time I saw an open platform was in Tokyo.
NYC plans to put them in as soon as all the trains are upgraded to RI70 varients. They were on track for that by 2018 originally, but so many were destroyed during Hurricane Sandy that they still are using the old trains from the 90's. The old trains had 3 doors per side , and RI70's have 4 per side. Once everything is standardized, they can put those in.

i really love all of these. photography is such a beautiful art and im in love.
I'm an Army Brat, and have lived all over the world, including close to that place pictured above. I cannot begin to imagine living in that pest-hole on an extended basis. I'm also a Southerner, and there is nothing refined and civilized about New Yawk. I don't Ever want to go there again. Out here!
