Illustrator Shows Unapologetic Women Being Themselves That Society Doesn’t Want To See
141Kviews
There is something incredibly beautiful about people being unapologetically themselves. Cécile Dormeau keeps on proving that by drawing women of all kinds, showing their true colors and loving it.
Cécile Dormeau a French artist living in Paris and before starting her illustrator career, she worked as a graphic designer in design agencies in Hamburg and Berlin, and as a junior art director in an ad agency in Frankfurt.
Now she reveals the true beauty of women, showing them as they are - colorful, interesting, bold and real.
Take a look at her newest illustrations below and vote for your Faves and if you'll want to see more, check out the first post about her we did a year ago.

She has blue boob hairs! I've heard of dying your hair awesome colors but dying the boob hair! :P
I had beautifully clear skin when I was younger. Now I'm in my thirties and suddenly I get pimples on my chin. WTF?????
the cage may be open but the beast's asleep... oh wait, this might not work with women...
All I can think about is Robin Williams’ joke. “Fake tits are like nazis, the don’t laugh, and they don’t move.
I hate this! Young generation turning into dogs and cats. Or may be I am too old.
Yup! And I absolutely have to show my husband my face every single time I use those!
This.. this shirt right there is THE shirt to wear to a bar when you don't want any dudes hitting on you... At all... Ever... Maybe have Blue Waffles printed on the back for extra precaution 😀 (don't Google blue waffles, not breakfast food)
Yeah, I'm looking for down votes, but, good grief, stop trying to position being overweight as a good thing. This whole "body positive", "fat shaming" idiocy is giving young people the idea that it's OK to be unhealthy. Ask your doctor: it's not.
the illustrations are talking about mainly being woman. Of course it's not okay to be unhealthy, but it's TOTALLY okay for loving yourself.
Seriously they're fucking ILLUSTRATIONS. Nobody anywhere ever said it's okay to be unhealthy. What people ARE saying is that fat people exist and they're well within their rights to love themselves. They shouldn't be put down at every turn when many other behaviors are equally as unhealthy, but nobody mentions them. I have literally never seen anyone say "Everyone should be fat and overweight now! EVERYONE!" Have you????
Dude, they are DRAWINGS. Get over it!
Because they show bodies you're not sexually attracted to doesn't mean they're saying being unhealthy is good. Besides that, these are drawings. They're immune to being healthy or sick.
I agree that it's been taken a bit too far quite often nowadays. The message was supposed to be "don't judge yourself and others only by their body type, and don't be an asshole", but at some point "being fat doesn't make you any less worthy as a human" seems to have turned into "being obese is beautiful and modern and what you should strive to be" to the point I've seen people bully fat people who are actively trying to lose weight and even call them traitors. Fanatics will ruin everything for everybody, always.
Completely untrue. It's about not hating yourself if you don't conform physically. I've never seen anything stating your goal should be obesity. Not once.

yes it's either one extremism or another, there's no healthy in between. there's a very thin line between confidence and body positivity. body positivity is meant not to put pressure on obese people in a way they'll eventually lose weight on their own by staying physically active but the movement has just enabled them to be lazy and blame everyone else for their personal problems.
Why do you care if other people are overweight? Because you don't like to look at it? Don't give me that "they are unhealthy" bit, it's disingenuous. These are cartoons that show a range of body sizes stylistically and all you can see are fatties. What empty hole in your life are trying to fill by getting into other people's business? Did a fat kid beat you up in grammar school, or maybe you were the fat kid that got picked on? Had that cupcake slapped out of your mouth too many times and now you are just pissed off that other people can be fat and not feel horrible about themselves.... If you really cared about the health of "young people" you would know that anorexia is rising among young people and it is a deadly disease that is largely ignored in favor of getting the vapors over someone being fat. Personally, I think people like you contribute to that.
These girls aren't overweight. They're curvy. That's how girls look these days, the illustrations are trying to glamourise ALL body shapes, sizes, looks, colours, everything.
Numbers 1, 4, and 7 among others are overweight. Could say the medical term of obese. Glamourizing being overweight is what I'm talking about.

stop pretending like obesity doesn't exist. curvy is a term to put the blame on someone else.
William Teach according to you, fat people should not exist. Don't understand how terrible that sounds? Replace the word "fat" with "Black", "Arabic", or "female", and say it again.
you do realise its a cartoon dont you and not meant to be taken seriously lol
