Looking at these beautiful drawings, you see stories. Some are clear, some left untold, but all touching. Nine months ago Bored Panda introduced you to the deep drawings of Japanese illustrator Avogado6. The artist chooses to keep most of his identity a mystery, and not much is known about the person behind the illustrations. "I am an ordinary person who likes chemistry," he writes on his Twitter profile, but as you will see, his works filled with profound meaning are far from ordinary.
Avogado6 manages to create sentimental, vivid images by drawing feelings and emotions that are hard to describe with words. The drawing ideas might look simple at first glance, but they have incredibly deep meanings and, usually, are quite dark.
The artist has over a million followers on Twitter and has even published three books.

Or another darker interpretation is their parents are they type of couple so in love with each other the child gets forgotten and seen as little more than an accessory.
Nope, if they leave their love, the kid will die.

that is why marriage is important - a commitment to one another and a commitment to the family you will create.
Load More Replies...I would offer that it is about divorce as soon as the parents give up a the child gets emotionally hung
Or maybe these parents decided to stay together in a fake love relationship "for the sake of the child", without realising the pain they're all causing to the kid and each other.

Also, father is holding mother's arm - supporting her or maybe preventing her from releasing the string? I see it as a family where one of parents may be more prone to showing its feelings but also isn't very mentally or emotionally stable. This love, while needend and honest, may also be destructive - that's why there is a string tied to child's neck. It is the other parent, maybe more firm and cold at first glance, who is trying to put the family together. I think the child knows it and it is why he sticks to its father. He knows that he needs both - feelings from his mother and safety from his father.
its kinda like of they let go, because they probably divorce, the kid is the one that suffers since he is going to hang from the balloon
When two people stay in an unhealthy relationship "for the kids", even though the unhealthy relationship is worse for the child.
My interpretation is that the balloon is helium and the parents love and togetherness is what is keeping him from flying away.
This rings true with me. No way to explain it, everyone sees differently
If they let go of their love, the divorce will kill the kid inside.
My interpretation is that in the name of love parents choke their kids to death...
If you look closely the string is in the mother's hand and the child is closer to her. The mans hand is over the woman's in a dominant manor. I think the mother is protecting the child from the father. At least that's what I think.
I don't know why you are getting downvotes. It's a good interpritation.

This one is somehow so creepy and ominuous. I wonder what the point is .. the feeling that everyone and everything is waiting for your mistake? One step aside and game over?
Very powerful and strong work! I am touched by every single piece of it.
This one is so sad. I hate seeing parents with their little ones who just want their attention.. I hope to NOT be one of these parents. My children will ALWAYS be more important than my phone.
I see it as an isolation in her own world. The girl is so concentrated on her plans and goals (documents in her arms, money attached to her oxygen bottle) that she doesn't have time to enjoy the world outside her box and just live on. Maybe she even doesn't want to because it feels safer not to go out?
I was getting sick of these, because they always were about the evils of technology and how we don't communicate anymore. These are actually really original and really good.
It's even more true in Japan, where people communicate less and less... Even in the family circle, communicating gets more and more difficult, although not reaching the level of insanity as in Korea.

I agree. The author chooses to focus on death instead of embracing life. Yes, we will meet death one day, but there is no reason to rush toward it.

He may have had some bad experiences in his life. Maybe this is his way of dealing with it. For example, a lot of people with PTSD will use humour.
Load More Replies...I'm worried for the artist. Is he okay? Does he need help? How can we help him?
I am only picture 10 and I already feel like slitting my wrists. WAY WAY TOO DARK. For Gods sake Bored Panda LIGHTEN UP.
Not everyone use the same drawing style in Japan, eh... At least, no more than everywhere else. I could also say "why do comics look all the same?" to me, as an European...
