National Geographic images are not "normal photos"
In my opinion they're normal photos of nature that the photographer was able to take. A photo taken by a proffessional is still a regular photo, just better MUCH better quality.

Sad that anyone prefers cutesy cartoons to these beautiful photos.
Why is that sad? To each his own, right? As a hobby photographer I'm amazed by these beautiful pictures, but I also can appreciate the skill of the Digital Artist who made these beautiful cartoons.
