I am an artist who works to give mental health awareness a voice as I portray various mental and social issues through little doodles of stickmen in an ongoing project called the Stickmen's Series.
I spend a lot of time alone with my art and have gradually learned how to express my emotions through rough, hastily drawn doodles of stickmen.
I scribble down a stickman or two whenever I experience strong emotions, ideas, and/or thoughts, and it goes from there as I transform the tangles and knots in my head into tangible visuals. Nothing helps me help myself more than these little doodles do, and I am grateful to this day for deciding to put them to paper and give them life.
Art was once my only friend, and art is now my best friend. And now, I am ready to show my friend to the world.

Tug Of War
"Don't trip or crawl; stay standing tall. Don't slip; you'll fall and lose it all."
Rain, rain, fall on me; help me grow into a tree. Beauty's often born from pain so let it rain, let it rain.
That moment when you close your eyes is when they start to creep and rise. When you try to wake, you'll find they don't just live inside your mind.
"Tick tock" sings the clock; when will your time come to stop? Days are numbered so act fast and know this: you aren't your past.
"Let me..." "Please don't..." "...go."
"Lock me in your gilded cage. Free me, let me turn the page."
Slap on the smile and hold it tight. Don't let the tears fall into sight. For if they do, remember this: they'll all judge you for your weakness.
Take to the sky defy fear and try to spread those wings and dare to fly.
"I wish to fly back to the simpler days; back to a place where my innocence lays."
Keep the masses entertained; now's your time to be the star. Show us how well you've been trained to be the puppet that you are.
The artist paints a picture, a window to his soul. Gaze into his mirror; it reflects what makes him whole.
"Let me in." "Let me out."
"I will create the cure that will recreate me."
"Watch them rise into the air. Try it? No, I wouldn't dare. That there is the reason you fail to fly the way they do."
Instructions. Step 1: Let guilt fill up; Step 2: Let guilt spill out; Step 3: Rinse and repeat.
Flipping highs and slipping lows, when will it end? No one knows. Take the pill and hang on tight; soon it will all be alright.
