2020 is off to a terrible start. In January, the whole world watched as the bushfires raged across Australia, burning 18.6 million hectares of land and killing an estimated one billion animals. Later, life as we know it was put on hold by the coronavirus pandemic, which has claimed the lives of over 300,000 people. Now, almost halfway through the year, people are wondering what will happen next and their spirits couldn't be lower. Saddened by having to put off many of their plans, goals, and resolutions for better days, there is only one thing that can make us feel better—memes. To vent their frustrations over 2020 that can basically be thrown away at this point, people created the "My plans vs. 2020" meme. By using pop culture references, people show how savagely their plans were crushed. I was so full of hope in winter, I bought beautiful new spring clothes, lovely shoes, and sexy nightgown and lingerie. Now I am single and I am wearing sweatpants, old crappy t-shirts and a mask.
It still has a bright side: no hand wash and no ironing! (Hope this helps...)
